Titanium Backup - Batch Restore - Captivate General

Is it possible to do a batch restore and not have to hit "install" and then "done" for every app?
Thanks,
JOe K.

Definitely!!! Especially if you are bad about changing ROMs a lot. This is one App purchase I DO NOT regret one bit!!

Also, make sure you do a nandroid backup before you flash a rom. I've had experiences with Titanium Backup where I flashed a rom and market doctor DIDN'T restore my app links, not that that's any real reason to revert, but it's nice to have a safety net in case anything goes wrong.

[Q] Possible to titanium install all apps at once instead of clicking separately?

By this I don't mean the batch process, that I know. But once you batch, you have to click install and done one by one until all the apps are installed. I jump roms a lot and am wondering if there's anyway to do this all at once without having to click individually?
One of those "restore all apps" batch functions doesn't work for you?
Go pro. Or you cannot use root explorer and Giro were your apparently are installed on your phone copy them and the using your PC put the in the same folder in the rom and then flash. Now they are installed just use titanium to restore the apps data.

Hit menu>batch and you can restore all.

Yes, you must go pro. I didn't buy the pro version myself, but I've heard from many others that that is the only way to do them all at once without confirming each app.
I can confirm that the pro version will do this. Well worth the money if you ask me.

TiBU has a feature to create a flashable .zip file for installing the applications. I have yet to try this, but it seems pretty cool.

AFAIK this only refers to a flashable zip of TiB itself (I thought otherwise before, but I tried it)
Still handy to use for restore if your new rom doesn't include TiB and you had to wipe your data and want to restore your g-account etc. first.
ok, thanks guys. the paid version does indeed just install without intervention.
this app is great. well worth the few $ for paid. had the license file in less than 15mins from paying.
good to see that the free version is still available anyway.
the installable zip file would be a great addition.

What's the best way to get the apps back after switching roms?

I switched roms 3 times last night and each time I either try to download the apps again or reinstall from the apk file I saved in a directory.
Are there better ways of doing this?
I think I'm switching again tonight.

to expand on this a little bit, the paid version of Titanium Backup allows you to reinstall apps in a single batch. A key costs $5.90 and it's a great investment considering how much time it saves you if you frequently flip ROMs as most of us do!

So that means that you don't have to tell it to install every app? That would be a huge time saver.
Oh, the full version of titanium backup....got it.
I'm not using a microsd. I can keep the backup right on the tablet's flash memory as I reflash the roms right?
Thanks

titanium backup is nice. just don't like the fact that I have to "accept" and then install for a lot of the apps. oh well, better than downloading from the market... much quicker with TB

The paid version allows batch restores without having to click each time. It's a little pricey but totally worth it.

Titanium Backup
And you also can manually back it up.
This new app, SyncIt, will sync your game save files to your Dropbox account! This works across phones and for flashing!
you can also backup your apks with mybackup pro and astro file manager pro

[Q] Best Backupp App?

So, I'm going to install a new rom. I'm going back from JB to ICS. I was planning to wipe everything using TWRP. Meaning I'll wipe: system, cache, dalvik, factory reset, and android secure. Now I'm looking for a good backup app that can help me restore all of my apps and their saves after I install the new rom. I want to restore all of my games together with all of my save files. I've heard of Titanium and Go although I hear that titanium is only good if it is the paid version. Hopefully, you guys can provide me with a great backup app that is free. Thanks.
For root users: Titanum Backup.
For non root users: Carbon.

Backup and restore is in paid version only
But u can find the cracked version from google
Restoring system files after installing rom is not advisable
I recommend only to restore some files like games data files from titanium backup but not others

Yes, its good enough, unless you want more goodies like batch restoring of backed up apps, unlimited schedules, cloud syncing, restoring from nandroid backups etc. For that, you need to go PRO. Trust me, its worth the money.
P.S. Even if you're rooted, you can use Helium (previously Carbon) also. :good:
Do you guys know of any free backup app that can do batch restore?
Titanuim back up is the best app to do that. The free version makes it longer to restore because it asks permission for every singal app it restores. so if you have a 100 apps, then you'd have to press "yes" 100 times and i found that so annoying. lol. It is worth every penny you pay for sure. And just like the other guys said, I don't recommend restoring the systems files at all, you will get a lot of FC's and error messages and it gets soooo annoying. Restore only the "missing apps". If you like the how you organized your touchwiz, back it up then restore it on the ROM.I have been using titanuim for too long and I know quite a bit about it. Just ask if you have anything question
For me Titanum Backup is also the best backup app for android
Titanium is so worth the money if you want to backup and restore frequently.

Hi folks.
I did only backup the parameters as suggested by the app, but what a pitty....
The main file only weight 468 Bytes (attachement)
This method is clearly unrelialable. As it doesn't backup my whole parameters.
TitaniumBackup appears to be my last shot, but I still have to determine what to backup...

It really made me laugh as TitaniumBackup was my first paid application and indeed the most important app through years now.
But as I like some challenges, Im going to try it, not because I Doubt about TitaniumBackup supremacy, but by curiosity.

You won't be disappointed. I freeze apps with icebox. Swift backs up more than just apps.
Of course, it's individual choice but I rely on OP Switch as my backup solution. I was a big fan for TB during my rooted days. With excellent Oxygen OS and OP Switch, I have no desire to root the phone anymore.
I haven't used Swift Backup app, but it might be worth the try. It's available on play store.

I can't understand, how to dont have any root Desire in 2020.
Just, how do you handle bloatware or ads (web, app...)?

There aren't many apps on Oxygen OS that I consider bloatware. I use most of them. If I don't use a particular app, I simply disable it. If it still bothers me there are many guides online to debloat using adb commands.
I use paid version of AdGuard and have no issues with blocking ads. One license fee covers all 3 phones in my family.
