Yesterday i updated my HTC Touch Diamond to Windows Mobile 6.5.... i wish i didn't do that! I use BSB Unlimited Rom and now my WIFI doesn't work.
My cell finds the wifi connection and my home network. It even connects. But when i want to start MSN Messenger, Oprah, Internet explorer, it doesn't make a connection!
With Windows Mobile 6.1 i've never had troubles connecting

I upgraded to stock HTC WM 6.1 rom. Now when I try to use Internet Sharing I can't connect to internet.
It seems to establish network connect wit the phone and I can even ping the phone IP address, however I can't reach anywhere beyond the phone. Vista network center says that network connection is "Local Only".
I use MediaNet with all proxies disabled.
Any advice?

Hmmm... I know there is a driver issue with Vista that affects many connections with both ports & usb from what I've read. Unfortunately I use XP & SLeuth & it works fine. Try searcing google for Vista ICS errors or issues.
Im trying out the microsoft sms add-in to outlook 2007, but it demands that the phone is connected as a modem to the PC. Seems like when I use internet sharing application, vista wont add the phone as a modem (it still works to go online though).
So, do anyone know if theres any bluetooth/usb modem drivers for the polaris or any other similar HTC phone?

not in internet sharing mode... but you can try sharing it with WmWifiRouter, connect with activesync and use a remote controll app like SOTI Pocket Controller Pro... if you want to sent messages using your keyboard...
I had this problem before, fixed it by changing the "network connection" to Mobile web, I think, instead of o2 active. Or the other way around.

I am using Windows Mobile 6.1 on HTC DIamond, but I think this is the same on windows mobile devices. When I use application that needs internet connection, data connection is established. When I close this application, daa connections reamin established. Is there any way, that data connections will automatically disconnect when application is not needing internet anymore.
Any idea?

my mobile is htc cruise with windows mobile 6 professional
I used to work fine one sync and use the internet one my htc through my laptop passthrough internet connection.
for 3 days now I cannot use the internet anymore although syncing is ok
each time I try to use the internet on htc it starts connecting with my data plan but not through the laptop. when I turn my sim card off or remove it from the phone, the internet works fine !!!
how can I solve this problem?

I found the solution to this problem by using SKTools and then in network configurations, u disable GPRS data connection..
