Don't know about anyone else, but my first idea would be to stop looking and asking in the HTC forums?

I know nobody wants to hear from a noob in this section, but i'm curious... I see roms for almost every android phone except the Motorola Droid(verizon). Even the newer Nexus One has a rom or two floating around.
I've done quite a bit with ipod/iphone jailbreaking and I assume this is the same or similar concept. I'd be greatful if anyone could at least point me in a better direction. I've been doing random google searches for a few days now and I found that the Motorola Droid can be rooted, but I haven't found much more than that.
Any info that can be shared would be greatly appreciated.

you wont find Droid roms here at xda
From the main site - "This site is mostly about certain PDA-phones. Many are made by a firm called HTC, but we've recently started discussing some made by other manufacturers"
check the link above
Hey guys, my wife has an iphone, well my question is, is there any forums like the one here on xda, for like the iphone. if anyone knows of any, or has a link, would be very appreciated,
thank you
There are several message boards/forums out there, but not really anything like xda.
There are sites for different things about the iPhone. iPodTouchFans is possibly the biggest forum for iDevices, so I'd start there.
Google is your friend
While I am not a new user, my Dad is brand new to Android. I recently (Father's Day gift) bought him an HTC Inspire 4G and I want to find out if someone has a suggestion for him to learn about his phone in general and Android in particular. I realize there will be a lot of different websites, but I would request ones where he won't have to do much beyond ask a question and get an answer, without being berated for not searching pages and pages first, as I've seen on XDA. If someone's knows of a good newbie website, let me know.
Thanks,
Taguiera
Hi newbie here. Been testing roms posted here on XDA since 2011. Im really enjoying getting the best available for my phone. Im interested in learning more about android developement. Maybe some of you could have some suggestions on how to get started? I love all my Samsung devices and havent used much else. What books if any on the Play Store would be the best for getting familliar with the prosseses of developement for apk. Kernal and Rom? Also there are some pc tools that I would like to become familliar with. (Kitchen, eclipse, and others I may not have heard about). I have been hoping to learn more in this new technology. I've got here an enjoyable hobbie. Now I feel has come time to move up to gaining a skill. Thank you for your advice in advance. And my apologies if I've posted this on the wrong section.

I recomend you to read "Hello Android", 2010, Pragmatic. Yes, this is OLD book, but it is the easiest and straightforward.
