So, I've gotten my hands on one and it's really dope. I've got 2 questions:
1. Does anyone have a proper driver so I can sync with the zune software? Windows 7 just seems to reject it off top.
2. Is there anything devs need off of here to help with ongoing hardspl/jailbreak development?
I'm here to help.
Nevermind, false alarm. Seems all I needed to do was soft reset and BOOM, the laptop recognized it.
My second question still stands. If there's anything devs need from me or my new phone, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi everyone, i just got an unlocked htc fuze, running elite rc2.
It's been working just fine for the past week and now it's doing something a bit unusual.
When my phone rings, when i grab the phone in my hand, it answers automatically, i made sure that auto answer after a few rings was off, i made sure that i wasnt accidentally pressing any buttons, but it always does it, the second i hold it, it answers.
It's really frustrating because when its in my pocket, i cant see whos calling me and by the time the phone is out of my pocket it already answered.
If im already in a call and another line rings, it will answer automatically, completely cutting off the other person.
If anyone has had the same experience and has anyinfo or help, please let me know, thanks Tony
lol. did you install an application that answers the phone according to the movement of the accelerometer?
i really havent installed anything, since i got it, i dont know much about modding the device, i installed my first them yesterday and it didnt even work, anyways, do you know what and where i can check if something like that is installed
hehe. it is very unprobable.. I hope someone knows more about the Fuze so you can get your answer.
I do not know how different is US Pro from an EU Diamond, but maybe the on-screen buttons are pressed by mistake? If so, use Answerkeys Disabler from the Diamond Applications forum.
First of all, I would like to thank the owners of this forum for providing such a great resource for simpletons like me to use. While in real life I'm an Air Force officer, when it comes to Android rooting/modifications/etc. I know close to nothing.
Before I begin, I would like to let you all know that I HAVE searched Google and this forum for answers to my problem. While I have found solutions that look promising, I am still not comfortable with them as many of these threads are from the September/October timeframe (i.e. they're OLD!)
Here is my situation:
I bought/rooted my phone back in September. I can't remember exactly how I did it, but it WAS through USB debugging mode and a command prompt on my PC. I believe I downloaded a series of Motorola drivers, etc. but my memory is hazy at best. I successfully rooted my phone (got the little Superuser Ninja listed under my applications) and apps that required root all worked. I never put any custom themes/images/etc. on my phone - I only used it for Wireless Tether.
Shortly after rooting I was having Star Wars envy and put the custom bootscreen and sounds on my phone from the R2D2 Droid 2.
Then.. everything was fine for several months. I accepted the OTA update from Verizon sometime in October? and I am running version 2.3.2.. with my phone still rooted.
Now, here's my problem:
My microphone AND external speaker have both stopped working on my phone two days ago and I need to return it to Verizon under its warranty. I understand that Verizon will NOT accept my phone if it is rooted and if tampering is evident (i.e. custom bootscreen).
My question is this:
What is the easiest/simplest way to unroot my phone and return it to the stock bootscreen and sound files? I don't want a Verizon technician looking at my phone and saying, "What is this?"
While rooting my phone has nothing to do with the hardware.. I know they'll look for ANY reason to deny my warranty claim. The fact that my external speaker and external microphone have died on this phone are HARDWARE issues that Motorola should be liable for.. and in its current state my phone is unusable for making calls (nobody can hear me) and I need a new one.
I hope someone in this forum can point me in the direction of the proper solution.
Again, I'm sorry for posting a question to a problem where there already may be an answer.. but I don't want to take any chances.
Thank you.
btw I CAN make calls.. but I have to use a bluetooth headset!
Excellent question. If one can do, one ought to be able to undo.
Boot into recovery (google the button combo, it should include the power button and some other button(s)) and then use the speaker buttons on the side to navigate to factory reset. This will return your phone to how it was when you first took it out of the box. Hope this helps

Hi,
I just received my phone, and have a couple of total newbie questions. I have never had an android phone, but, have an unlocked android tablet for my daughter. I unlocked it with info from this site. Awesome help!! I couldn`t have done it without you. Needed a new phone, and couldn`t afford the home prices or contracts for the iphones, galaxies, etc, so went for the Jiayu G3. Just started using mine, but and having problem getting windows 7 computer to recognize the device. The screen looks great and so far, it seems nice, but I am not a phone tech. I`m more of a desperate user, willing to learn and try...with direction from someone with experience.
Has anyone else had a problem with this phone being recognized, I guess as a mass storage device, and is there some solution that someone can help me with?
Also, wondering whether or not to unlock the phone, once the first problem is solved. I don`t know too much about the benefit of the unlock in this case. Can someone share info on that? I SAID I`m a newbie, sorry.
Is there any must have software that any of you more experienced users recommend for this phone?
Does ANYONE know where I can find info on it in English, so that I can figure out what I`m pressing?
Seriously....Thank you!

Are you still having problems connecting as mass storage as i just plugged mine into my sons windows 7 pc and it installed drivers straight away. Whe you connect to pc does usb connected not show on screen and a turn on usb storage button not appear. If not then when you plug in the cable swipe down from the top of the phone to see the notification area. One of the notifications should read Connected As USB Storage Touch for other usb options. Now yours might say media device or camera (ptp) just push that button and you should be taked to a screen with 3 choices, usb storage-media device-camera(ptp) select usb storage and if drivers do not start to install pull out cable and plug in again and hit connect as usb staorage and then OK. Hope this helps, I have mine rooted but I would not bother as there is going to be an Jelly Bean update released if you root you won't get the over the air update or might even fail and download and manual update. Phone works great just as it is.
hello all! if you have a problem driver download PDANET install it on the PC and connect your phone. install the drivers it must be!
here is that if some help ....
hello,
i bought a samsung focus 2 from ebay not knowing it was originally a store demo model. it was on the 7.5 OS but was able to force the 7.8 official release onto it (just kept doing the update till it went through). but it didn't fix the issue with it loading the demo software once it would boot back up. i have followed all the ideas posted on here about doing soft/hard resets but know the info is stored on a portion of the phone that updates won't overwrite.
i have done my searches on here and they were never answered by the person who started the thread and were quite old as well. is there a generic ROM i can load that will block the demo or does anyone know how i can hack the phone (bootloader, registry) to stop or delete this nonsense.
i cannot get my money back for this phone as the person deleted their ebay/paypal account. i have been on the phone with both and it's just not going to happen. so my only option is to hack the phone.... i don't want to sell it to someone else knowing it has this problem as i know it will come back on me and i just don't have it in me to rip someone off like i was basically just done.
i'm extremely noob when it comes to hacking a phone or registry so would need it in simple instructions.
it seems like a nice phone and would be a great backup so i don't want to brick it or break it. i would like to eventually use it so anyones help would be greatly appreciated.
this is the white samsung focus 2 SGH-I667
now that i look, i'm not 100% sure it actually updated to 7.8. it says it on the about screen, but it feels like it's still on 7.5... how can i be sure it's updated or not.
thanks !
Go to windowsphonehacker.com and try the tutorial for installing custom ROM in Samsung phones.
(I can't post the link because I'm a new member)
7.8 has resizable tiles like wp8, check your start screen
I have the same problem. I bought the demo phone for my wife ): Did you solved ? Thank you.

if you can find a custom rom for this device then that will do the trick but having looked at the focus 2 forum, it seems to be a device that has received no attention at all!
There are no unlocks, no roms, no nothing!
Mabie the other WP hacking sites might have one but on here there's nothing for that phone, strange!
I'm fooled by the eBay seller. I do not want to cheat someone else.
I can't believe that no one wants to solve the problem with the second generation of Samsun Focus phones!
I'm willing to pay. Just to have functional phone

Hi There I was just reading your post. I think you have a Focus 2? Well I have a Samsung Focus S, and it is also on demo mode, just finished debranding it and interloping it also. I also just finished disabling the demo mode. Don't know if it can also work on the Focus 2, it is just a registry edit. maybe it can work for you. If you still need help email me at [email protected]
Okay so I've been looking for a LONG TIME trying to find a solution to this problem, but have yet to find one, so if this thread is a duplicate issue, please move it to where it needs to be.
I have a Metro PCS Kyocera Hydro XTRM. I rooted the phone and it was fine. I will be the first one to tell you i am a major newbie when it comes to smartphone tweaking. I have been playing with electronics for years, and can pretty much build a desktop computer but newbie when it comes to android devices. So upon suggestion from a dev, I downloaded an app from the play store "BootUnlocker."
As Soon as I rebooted my phone, BAM! It gets stuck on the METRO PCS screen and stays there. I have pretty much tried everything I can think of. I have removed the battery a billion times and tried to hard reset the phone numerous times as well. And now, it won't even turn on but the LED power light on the front flashes when it's plugged in. I was thinking of trying Odin but when I plug the phone into the computer's USB port....it does absolutely nothing...doesn't read a thing.
I am hoping someone will be able to help with this soon as I would really like to know how to go about recovery on a phone that is completely Hard Bricked (as mine is now). If anyone has any suggestions, or has recovered a hard bricked xtrm, I would be so very thankful for your input.
Hi there! I'm afraid XDA doesn't have any information on that device that I can find. So....you can ask in our general Q&A section. I will ask a moderator to move your post there.
This is where it will go....

The only other suggestion I can give is to try searching the web for info on your device.
Hope you get it worked out!
never mind
