Hi GUys-
I at one point installed the Energy ROM. I decided I didn't like it and I went back to the stock VZW MR1 update. I realized today that the MR2 update was out so I flashed the phone. It now boots to the white loading screen with the green HTC logo and red text (in bottom left) but it goes no further. What do I do?
Thanks!

It sounds like a bad flash. Put it back into the bootloader (reset while holding voldown) and try again.

Thanks for the reply. That was my first thought, too. Turns out I never undid the SPL unlock, so when I flashed with stock ROM it was messed up. Relocking SPL made it work just fine.

Just for fun, would you please note the steps you followed? Were you able to relock while the ROM was messed up? If not, what did you have to do that allowed you to unlock?
Thanks.
Mike
I had the same problem on my sprint touch pro 2, this has happened to me 2 times now, I used to be able to switch roms daily and now my second phone is a brick.

All,
I just executed a soft reset on my phone, and it looks like the whole phone went TU...
I flashed a new ROM on this phone back in December and really havent messed around with it since...
Anyway, I am at work right now and can't do a whole lot to the phone...
Basically, I did a soft reset and the phone, instead of resetting, went to the multicolor screen that you see when you want to flash a new ROM from HardSPL...
Any Ideas on what I should do...
Thanks
Never Mind
All, Sorry I jumped the gun, I just left the battery out for 10 min or so, put it back in and everything was OK..

Do a soft-reset again. If that does not work, try flashing the radio again. If that still does not work, try flashing a different radio. And, if that does not work either, then flash the ROM again or flash a new ROM.

I stuck at T-mobile Logo!! Can't get in to recovery and to the phone.
Can some one help me ?
Had a similar problem. Have you applied the engineering bootloader? Otherwise I think you're stuck. As far as I know you can't flash anything using the stock SPL. I brought mine back within the first 15 days for a new one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=453953

First, try taking out the sim card and booting the phone. I've heard of at least 1 case where that worked .
Second, have you flashed the dev bootloader onto your phone? When you power it on with back+power, do you see a screen with colored bars (stock bootloader, or a white screen with 3 skateboarding androids (dev bootloader)?
If step 1 doesn't work and you don't have a dev bootloader, there's not much you can do, other than return it to t-mobile.

I stay in Malaysia. I did call HTC but they ask me to send it back to T-mobile. I don't know why HTC no support it.
Take the battery out for at least 1 or 2 hours, then try. I have seem this problem with some units, hopefully this will be the only time it happens.

How to do factory setting from stock bootloader?
sorry
at this time there is no way to fix a phone that has lost its "system image" and only has the 'stock HTC SPL' or "rainbow bootloader" like there was on the older htc WM devices...
Yes thats what the bootloader is made for but the tools and image (dreamimg.nbh, is the name. if they keep the same naming convention as the WM ones.)

Hi all,
I'm a bit noobish at all of this so please bear with me.
I have a t-mobile us HTC sensation and I followed the guide to S-off, installed CWM, and then rooted the phone. I never flashed a new ROM.
This morning the OTA update popped up and having a "blond moment", I clicked update.
Now my phone is showing a little green droid holding an exclamation mark in a triangle and I don't know what to do!
Any help is really appreciated. I am really freaking out right now... it's been like this for 20 mins.
Thanks,
Lys.
try flashing a new rom.. maybe u should try flashing android revolution hd rom... working good for me till now... read the instruction carefully when flashing new rom.... gd luck...
Thanks for the fast reply.
How do I get off this screen that I'm hung on?
-Lys
Take battery out
Then turn on the phone holdin volume down.
See if you can get in to bootloader screen, then select recovery.
If you can get this far, your far from bricked.
Just install a new rom. Do a data wipe, and flash away.
Yay!
I got to recovery.
Thank you for you help. You're awesome!
-Lys
All that happened is that you were denied the OTA since you are rooted. It happened to everyone back when 2.3.4 came out. If you want the OTA instead of a custom ROM then you can run the RUU for your phone and then accept the OTA.

Search for instal HTC RUU. It's really quite simple!
Hi all, I am sorry if this is already posted or answered but I spent all day yesterday searching and reading and cannot find the answer.
I have 2 Htc sensations that I messed up some how and would be very grateful if you could help me with them.
Phone 1 has been rooted for a long time and in preparation for ICS I flashed T-mobil: Download 3.32 from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
and now the phone works but it will randomly reboot. I have wiped the cache, delvak cache and battery stats.
I am completely lost please help.
Phone 2 I think I may have messed up real bad here is what I did to it.
I rotted it from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
I got to step 2 sub step 6 and now it continuously reboots it starts with the white screen with HTC on it then goes to another white screen that says HTC Quietly brilliant for a second and repeats.
Please help me yes I am a noob and grateful for any help.
Wow that was a fun ride (not really) it appears I did not flash the PG58IMG file correctly, after I flashed it correctly I got Insert Coin installed and so far it seems that they both are working. only time will tell.
Thanks anyway guys.
A.J.
If you are trying to install the latest firmware and having the HTC log restart problem. Try to super wipe on the recovery and install first the 3.12 firmware.
HTH
Did you install supercid after root?

Both phones are working fine but I have a new question, I can not get the voice dialer to work ie I long press the button on my plantronics bt and say call tom.
I have tried vlingo from the market and this fix
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133246
but nothing has worked. is it just not working in Insert Coin rom?
Did I just brick my phone?
I tried to flash the 1.17 firmware and the last step failed, now it wont boot at all just a black screen the only thing it will do is the charge lite will come on bit it stays on after I unplug it.
which of the 2 phones you are talking about?
In a previous post you said that problem was solved, now what?
Also, it would be better to know what your bootloader says and what you were attempting to do before black screen.

Sounds like a brick to me, but since the problem is unclear, it's possible to fix. I wish I could help but I don't understand your issue to be honest!
I had 3.32 on it with Insert Coin ICS and thought I have 2 so might as well restore one to factory setting that's when I tried to flash the 1.17 and it never started again.
T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G
The other one is working so I am not messing with it.
I had the same thing happen to me and it was over for the phone. Took it in to tomo and told them it died and after I charged it and went to turn it on, bam, went black and never came back. They never got it to work either and replaced it for me
You mean 1.17 is the hboot?
In this case you installed a hboot for GB while on ICS rom. Obviously it won't work.
If you want to downgrade to GB you can try to run a GB RUU while in bootloader - fastboot usb (if you can still reach it)

He was in the process of going back to gb and that's 1 of the steps. U have to flash a gb firmware to go back to it from ics. I've done it countless times with no issues.

Oh yes I have made many times too buf, if he changed firmware without changing rom obviously get stuck, and this seems happening to him.
No what's happened to him is what happened to me. It's like it gets fried or something. The screen goes black and u can't turn it on or get into bootloader. Tmobile told me when it happened it was dead and got me a new 1

Good luck mate. Just let us know if it worked
hi all, i am a novice at all this stuff, and i am sorry for posting probably a similar thread to what others may have said but my problem is a little different. i am having a problem with my wifes att network htc inspire 4g. i rooted it last year with the ace hack kit. the problem is that it is stuck in ace hack kit clock work recovery. it will not start up at all unless it is attched to the computer, and thats when it will go to cw recovery. it will vibrate 3 times and blink a red led and the screen goes blank unless i press the volume down button but it doesnt stay lit up only when i hit the vol down button. then when i hit an option by hitting the power button the phone resets to cw recovery again. if i try to acess hboot, it vibrates 5 times and lights up yellow. i have tried wiping, formatting, and everything but reboot to cw recovery again. from the posts that i have read similar to this problem, everyone says to get another rom and flash from hboot. being that i cant get to hboot any other ideas.

If you wiped and formatted, then you've probably erased whatever ROM you did have. At this point I'd probably use the ACE Hack Kit again, using the option to return everything to stock.... then use it again to re-root the phone. Then I'd install 4ext Recovery instead of CW. Then use 4ext to flash another ROM. I'd recommend Ice Cold Sandwich, found in the DHD development forum.

This is my wifes phone. She said that she didn't get any error messages that she knows of. She went to use her phone one day and it was stuck in clockwork recovery. I believe the phone had froyo installed when it came factory but I updated it to the att gingerbread before I rooted it. The phone worked fine till just recently. Was there another update from att recently? Any who that's where it is stuck. No error codes just the lights like I explained above. Thx

Best guess is to flash a ruu.
Try uninstalling the htc drivers (if you have them) and install them again to see if the computer recognizes the cell.
