WPA on TnT lite? I know it works on CM6 but cannot configure TnT lite for access to the universities WPA.
Does anyone know a work around for this?

[Q] Will any of the ROMs allow Graffiti (or other handwriting recognition) to work?

Trying on TnT lite, but it won't let me select Graffiti in Settings/Keyboards & Language. Is this b/c TnT lite doesn't support "external keyboards" yet, per the FAQ. If so, does that mean I may be able to get Graffiti to work under VEGAn-Tab or maybe under a later build of TnT lite?
Wrote this with graffiti on vegan beta 5
Worked, thanks. But graffiti seems slow. I'm slow too, but even taking that into account there seems to be a lag.

[Q] Need help with tethering MyTouch 3G GPS to Gtab?

Hello,
Thanks to all the great folks here on this forum I have modded my Gtab and I am really loving the experience.
I am currently running TnT Lite 2.4 and find it very stable. I did the Market fix that allows most os the apps to show up. Still using the old Market interface which accurately shows my downloaded and purchased apps. I have installed ADWlauncher EX and not looked back.
Since buying my Gtab I have rooted my MyTouch 3g 1.2 and implemented Barnacle to create an ad hoc wifi hotspot that works very well with my Gtab.
I read somewhere here that somebody was able to connect their phone GPS to the Gtab through the use of a combination of shareGPS and BlueGPS. I can't seem to find the shareGPS application anywhere on the Market with my phone or the Gtab. Is this due to the fact that my phone is still an Android 1.6 phone? If possible can someone point me to the sharegps apk file that would work on my phone?

[Q] L2TP VPN TnT Lite 4.2.2 + stock kernel

Folks,
Quick question and I apologize if this has already been answered elsewhere in this forum but a search didn't reveal anything. I'd like to configure VPN on my g-tab so I can get into work from home. Does the default kernel support VPN? If not, is there currently a compiled kernel that I can dl that'll support L2TP. If I install this kernel, can I access/configure the VPN with my currently installed ROM which is TnT Lite 4.2.2 or do I need to switch to another rom?
thanks!
Id like to know this as well if anyone can answer please.
Thanks, Rob
I've been struggling with this ever since I bought my tablet back in early DEC. I couldn't use my juniper VPN because it required a java client, but I've been trying numerous different combos of kernels and loads to see what would work for my Cisco L2TP VPN (with a shared secret). The winning combo that worked for me was:
VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition - Experimentals: verison 03082011.
Kernel - pershoot 2.6.32.31-cyanogenmod.
The VPN setting does not show up in the network settings, so I downloaded "5 VPN" from the android market. When you click "connect", it takes you to the VPN settings of the device. I created my LTP connection and BAMMMM! It works!

Kernels (VPN,uPNP, DLNA support)

With the various kernels out there for the gTablet, I have found it odd that none seem to support uPnP/DLNA. I'm running TNT Lite 4.22 on my primary tablet and experiment daily with other ROM's on my test tablet. Both are Viewsonic gTablets. What I find very interesting is that the port of NI's Adam to the gtab supports VPN and DLNA built-in. No modified kernels are required and DLNA works great.
Maybe some of the dev's (Roebeet, Clemsyn, Pershoot) that know a lot more than me could help figure out how to get DLNA working in TNT Lite with a custom kernel using the gAdam port as a guide. My favorite ROM is by far TNT Lite with Clemsyn's kernel, by the way.
I am willing to offer any help I can provide but I'm not a dev. but can certainly supply files from both systems.
I didnt have any problem at all using DNLA or upnp with any of the roms. And Im pretty sure that clemsyn and pershoot support vpn.

Wow that's great. I tried using a few DLNA server programs on my tablet but none of them got picked up by any of my TV's. Using the gAdam port, they both (iMedia Share and Skifta) got picked up like a charm. Maybe I am missing something on the TNT Lite installs? On the gAdam, I just installed the App. Would you mind sharing what program you used and what other steps you might have done?
I think i installed upnpplay and it picked up both my upnp and dlna stream. There were a couple other programs as well but tha one seemed to work the best.
uPnP should work OOTB, even with TnT (Lite). But CIFS / SMB access does not.
The gADAM port actually uses pershoot's kernel, which might explain the differences you see. I did that as I could not get the stock Adam kernel working on the GTAB without making partition changes via nvflash, and I didn't really want to do that. So I opted to using pershoot's kernel and also the CIFS module.
I don't do this for TnT Lite as I prefer to keep that "close to stock" - users are welcome to use whatever custom ROM they want after-the-fact, but that's up to them.

[Q] Skype, Vegantab, Gtablet problems

I have a Viewsonic GTablet 10". My son-in-law installed Vegan-Tab Ginger Edition 7.0.0 on it. I downloaded Skype, but am having some issues getting it to work. I can get in to Skype, but when I use the Echo/Sound Test Service, I am getting the sound through the tablet speakers, not my headphones.
I searched for clues on how to fix this, and all it said was to go into the Audio settings to change it, but I can't seem to locate any "Settings" of any sort in the Skype that is downloaded on the tablet.
I'm sure it's something simple, but not simple enough for me to find on my own. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!
Michele
