I dont know a lot about MIUI but far as I know theres no "easy" way to change fonts like just installing them and applying them like other ROMS.
Even thou i have found a few guides that require a basic adb knowdledge
I share the link in hope its helpfull to you also.

You can also try AndroidBoot Animation Changer. Just drop the bootanimation.zip into the zip and flash it in recovery.
The link is in my signature
I posted a custom boot animation but it was moved to themes in the I9000 forum. Don't want S advance users to miss it so here is link to original thread for it. Hope mods don't mind me doing this but I think if it is in I9000 threads it won't be seen by us S advance users.

I have installed erikcas' rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173690
I really liked it so far but I cant seem to find a way to turn off Screen Animations like I could in the stock rom (Settings>Display>Animation). I would be very thankful if anyone could help me out (or is this feature not available).
Note: I have searched for the solution here and elsewhere but couldnt find any. Im new here and i dont know if this is appropriate here, if not I apologize in advance.

I tried the steps but unfortunately, it didn't work. Switching back to Jellybread rom now. As I have exams tomorrow, I wont be able to to fiddle with my new found custom rom experience . Will try again when I have time. Anyway, thank you so much for replying.

Should I do it? By the way I don't know the option you are talking about. please clarify if you can.
Thanks for the replay.
Ok thanks but I'm using Cyanogen MOD 10.2 and there is no option for it. PAC Rom has the option if I remember correctly.
Anyway thanks for the replay. Do you have any glitch in Boot animation cause every time I booted up my device the boot animation isn't show perfectly for the first couple of seconds.
