Custom Boot Animation - Galaxy S Advance I9070 General

I posted a custom boot animation but it was moved to themes in the I9000 forum. Don't want S advance users to miss it so here is link to original thread for it. Hope mods don't mind me doing this but I think if it is in I9000 threads it won't be seen by us S advance users.

im searching google for better gifs.. you can also search on google.com/images ..
thus it makes no worries about making zips and photos..

"BIOS" Boot Animation

I revisited an old thread that I found back when I had my Nexus and saw frysee had made an LG O2X bios boot animation; just wanted to share what I found because I really enjoyed this on my Nexus One that he had also "cooked" up. His BIOS boot animation thread has "our" device (even though it's an O2X) and others you may have; enjoy.
I don't own any of these, nor did I make them. Credits, and other rights can be found in this thread.
O2X Boot Animation Link
That is awesome!
Can I ask a favor from you? Can you make one that says ROM type WeaponG2x-3.0_R1 rather than MIUI custom v2.3 build?
Or if not can you tell me the font style you used? I would really appreciate it.

You can also try AndroidBoot Animation Changer. Just drop the bootanimation.zip into the zip and flash it in recovery.

[Q] Change Bootanimation on Trickdroid 7 TMOUS

Hi Everyone,
I am not being able to change the bootanimation on Trickdroid v7 TMOUS rom, I am stuck with the ugly grey "android" bootanimation.
I have checked file /system/customize/CID/default.xml which states the bootanimation would be on file /system/customize/resource/hTC_bootup_one.zip, but changing it does nothing.
Any clues? I also tried placing on resource folder a htc_rockey_animazation.zip or someting like that detailed on some posts but neither worked. There are no other xml files on CID folder, and Trickdroid Tweak Packages can't change the animation neiher.
If you have any directions I would greatly appreciate them,
Regards,
Diego
PD: yeah I say regards as if this was an email... whatever I am still saying it =P
Try root tool box lite on Google market

If you have a bootanimation.zip file you can replace the one in your current rom in system/media. Best to do it before the flash it seems though. Otherwise, there's a boot animation app in the market. Search boot animation

Ok now I tried installing a boot animation with ROM Toolbox Lite and it removed my current bootanimation but only have black screen now instead of boot animation.
I just tried resizing one to 540x960 and 30fps wit the same app but still black screen.
It is one step forward to having another animation though hehe, thanks, will keep trying other animations from ROM Toolbox to see if one works
Thanks for the info. Has it happened to you that some animations get you black screen? Just installed 3 different ones and same results,

I had no zip file on /system/media/, I placed one there and renamed to bootanimation.zip, rebooted, and it worked!!! :victory:
Thanks a lot blackcell1 and beats4x !! It seems ROM Toolbox made something so the phone looked into /system/media for animations, because there was nothing there, neither the grey android ugly animation I had before using ROM Toolbox.

Disabling Screen Animation in AOKP

I have installed erikcas' rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173690
I really liked it so far but I cant seem to find a way to turn off Screen Animations like I could in the stock rom (Settings>Display>Animation). I would be very thankful if anyone could help me out (or is this feature not available).
Note: I have searched for the solution here and elsewhere but couldnt find any. Im new here and i dont know if this is appropriate here, if not I apologize in advance.

Thanks, will try that asap. But I'm currently on another rom.

I tried the steps but unfortunately, it didn't work. Switching back to Jellybread rom now. As I have exams tomorrow, I wont be able to to fiddle with my new found custom rom experience . Will try again when I have time. Anyway, thank you so much for replying.
