I'm using ADW and I love the modification that My_Immortal and the other guys did to it to make it match the X10 theme.
But can any one make these modifications as a separate theme that we can download from the market or install as an apk file. So we can keep up with the updates instead of modifying the main app every time and uninstalling then installing again.

Why don't you ask My_Immortal herself? She's very helpfull and always replies to pm's , unlike other theme-makers-modders "DIVAS" in here who don't give a damn...

Now there is an update on timescape (which I have only noticed after root) that add the 'themes' option to the menu
This lets us choose out of 5 themes that SE have given us access to.
So, the question is... can we hack in our own background for this theme. I am guessing not as it appears that Timescape now has 5 apks and odex files (one for each theme)
At a guess I would say that we need to build an entirely new version, which won't be possible without the Timescape source code.
This makes me sad. I would love to make my own theme for Timescape.
Ive installed the new timesacpe and I have the theme option but its empty, and iveard when your ib widget view mode that you can re agrrenge them and I cant all I can do is shake them any thoughts why?

In theory you could take one of those theme apk and try to edit it. Just a theory.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen, today I present to you a compilation of applications which, when combined, present a near complete replication of Sense UI, but on Cyanogenmod 7!
Now, i'm aware that alot of people go to CM7 for the stock vanilla Google experience, I do as well! But every once in a while i like to play with the sense look for just a bit, and this satisfies that craving for me.
Its not perfect, but I'll be damned if it isn't close. So without further wait, here is is!
Essentially, this compilation contains 3 apks
-A themed launcher pro with the rosie re-configured so its 3 buttons like sense
-A theme application for the cm7 theme engine
-Fancy widget 1.3 i.e. the one that looks like the sense one.

Instructions
1. Put the 3 apks on you phone's sdcard (preferably in a place you can find them.)
2. Using any file manager, install the three apks (note: if you already are using launcherpro, you have to uninstall it to use this one)
3. Launch the theme manager in cm7 and select NTSense.
4. Launch the newly installed sense launcherpro and configure
5. If you wish, just long press and place the fancy widget clock on your desktop.
6. Reboot for Ntsense to finish the theme completely and enjoy!
Notes
-There is no theme for the lockscreen, so you can go with stock, lense, or widgetlocker if you have it.
-The right-most rosie button is browser and that isn't changeable. I can't do anything about it.
-The launcherpro version of this specific mod is 0.8.2, the guy who made it did this one a while ago and hasn't updated it to my knowledge. If thats a problem, I'm sorry.
-The NTSense theme will theme your stock gingerbread keyboard. Idk why but thats just how it is.
-This should work with any phone running cm7 and isn't evo exclusive.
-This Launcherpro isn't unlocked, you have to unlock it with your code, the new market unlocker doesn't work i don't think.
This is just me trying to assist anyone who, like me, enjoys hopping over to sense but doesn't like nand backup all the time. If you don't like it, thats fine, just please understand why I did it.

Hey all,
I'm new in this forum and I think this is the best place to ask my question. I also want you to know that I've searched desperately for the answer and couldn't find anything.
So this is the deal:
I own an Xperia x10a device with TripNMiUI "Iris" 0.4 Gingerbread - MIUI 1.6.3 installed (I cannot give you a link to the guide because i'm a new user...). The thing is that the Theme Manager doesn't work on this ROM so I cannot change themes. Everything works good and the default theme is nice but in the Contacts I can't see any contact name because the name's text color is black on black background.
I have Launcher Pro installed but I don't think it's the problem because even if I switch to the regular launcher the same thing happend. Again, theme manager doesn't work so I cannot configure anything.. I've tried everything in the settings, in the launcher preferences, tried to install themes - nothing works for me.

HI i am new to creating apps for android and i thought i would start small by creating a theme for adw..well it seems easy except for the errors!! If someone could help me with them or even just one i would apreciate it greatly!!!

Just start a new project, and just delete the errors, I get those errors even when my theme runs properly. Has to do with ADW and eclipse. It will work fine, just delete them! Feel free to send me personal messages with any other questions that you have!

I know that its asking a lot of you guys, but, i'd really like an app that can choose a framework-res apk and apply it to the phone, and restart, quite like the cm7 theme chooser app. Thank you in advance if anyone decides to take on my project. I'm sorry that i can't do it, as i am JUST starting to learn to develop for android.
Instead of going through all the trouble to create a new app if you wait a couple of more weeks, Jim should have CM7 ported, so then you can use the theme chooser from there.
