Hi all,
I don't know if anybody has tried this home launcher. I just installed it and it's really nice. The launcher was made by SE Japan. It seems that it's only available in Japan for some reason through the market.
Check the link below for more details and screenshots. I find it a lot more stable and less resource intensive than any other home launcher that I have tried and it's a lot faster and smoother.
It's by no means perfect, there's a definite lack of options and some widgets get chopped off (beautiful weather for example and the widgets that are supposed to be 4x1, but for some reason take 4x2, you know, the ones that you can't stick anything below them, well, now you can, but they get chopped a little), the lockscreen is sweet, you get 5 desktops and a live wallpaper. It would be nice to be able to change the color palette of the live wallpaper since the colors are a little effeminate imo,but that's ok. Oh yeah, and you will loose the ability to change your wallpaper when using the launcher.
There's one really sweet feature. You can unistall apps straight from the drawer. No need to go in the market or the application settings for non-market apps. Yay!
Like I mentionned, it's not perfect, but it will help me wait for the 2.1 update. Check it out for yourselves.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen, today I present to you a compilation of applications which, when combined, present a near complete replication of Sense UI, but on Cyanogenmod 7!
Now, i'm aware that alot of people go to CM7 for the stock vanilla Google experience, I do as well! But every once in a while i like to play with the sense look for just a bit, and this satisfies that craving for me.
Its not perfect, but I'll be damned if it isn't close. So without further wait, here is is!
Essentially, this compilation contains 3 apks
-A themed launcher pro with the rosie re-configured so its 3 buttons like sense
-A theme application for the cm7 theme engine
-Fancy widget 1.3 i.e. the one that looks like the sense one.

Instructions
1. Put the 3 apks on you phone's sdcard (preferably in a place you can find them.)
2. Using any file manager, install the three apks (note: if you already are using launcherpro, you have to uninstall it to use this one)
3. Launch the theme manager in cm7 and select NTSense.
4. Launch the newly installed sense launcherpro and configure
5. If you wish, just long press and place the fancy widget clock on your desktop.
6. Reboot for Ntsense to finish the theme completely and enjoy!
Notes
-There is no theme for the lockscreen, so you can go with stock, lense, or widgetlocker if you have it.
-The right-most rosie button is browser and that isn't changeable. I can't do anything about it.
-The launcherpro version of this specific mod is 0.8.2, the guy who made it did this one a while ago and hasn't updated it to my knowledge. If thats a problem, I'm sorry.
-The NTSense theme will theme your stock gingerbread keyboard. Idk why but thats just how it is.
-This should work with any phone running cm7 and isn't evo exclusive.
-This Launcherpro isn't unlocked, you have to unlock it with your code, the new market unlocker doesn't work i don't think.
This is just me trying to assist anyone who, like me, enjoys hopping over to sense but doesn't like nand backup all the time. If you don't like it, thats fine, just please understand why I did it.

For anyone who wants it. I like them and I did this just to show my wife that android can do the same and better things than iphones!

Next you can do 1 of 2 things or both.

I didn't flash I just put the system apps and lib in corresponding places and rebooted. This will have the android emoji's.
Or you can download this mms.apk that allows you to insert emoji's and look mo like the iphone's emoji's. You get this from here.

If I knew how to modify apps I would love to modify our messaging app to insert the emoji's.

Originally, I put together these app packs to give extra options to those who use my Universal themes. However since these can be used on their own and are not theme dependent, I figured I would give then their own thread for all of you to enjoy
These theme packs use the VRTheme package to completely alter some of the most commonly modded apps. This will not add apps but simply alter apps that you currently have on your device.
Whiteout contains stock apps exactly as they would appear from the market (except Play Music which had been turned white)
Blackout contains inverted apps by B-boy, Team Blackout and the bear j koss
Xparent contains apps turned transparent by B-boy and Team Blackout

OK... Not sure what the issue is... Just clear data for Google now and uninstall via TiBU if the voice search is not working for you... I'm gonna pull the packs and take out Google now till I figure out the issue... Sorry for the trouble

Just saw your update... Make sure the names in your system app match one of the names in the op before flashing... Also double check the apps that didn't theme by going into settings/applications.... If you select one and it says Uninstall updates then you need to do that in order to see the themed versions... All the apps in the pack should be up to date so you should be good
BTW these apps need to be in the system/app folder to get themed...

Well I originally put these together to use with my themes so I needed universal ones... Basic black and white kind of inverts and I know cam is partial to blue and bboys were already that way... Cam does do great work though

Thank you very much! It is always great to have droiders like my work. I like blue wayyyy to much to leave anything just black and white lol,,,but that may not appeal to the masses. I always love to see more themers active here, it helps keep the GS3 alive, keep it comin!

Hoping to have an update out tomorrow with updated Google plus, transparent aosp and transparent stock music player
1) Only thing that seemed to stick after the twrp flash was mms - which I personally like the most out of the themed mms's I've used - and gtalk. And I didn't have have gtalk installed before this. Did I need to delete the apps that this pack would be replacing before flashing in recovery??
2) Also, I avoid anything but face to face communication with my friends who have iphones and are so brilliant with their ability to jailbreak - done it for people before but just look at security setting on any android and check 'Unknown Sources' and boom....'jailbroken', why don't you try to unlock the bootloader or port HTC beats to any device or REALLY overclock a device........but I digress - when I do have to actually msg these people they love to do group msg's! Does this messenger have the same problem as most AOSP messenger with viewing cross platform group messagers??

This doesn't replace any apps that you don't already have and it doesn't add any new ones. You probably have other versions of the apps in your data/app folder. Even if the newer version is in your system/app, the phone will read the one from the data/app folder because it this it is gonna be newer...
For the apps that didn't appear to theme, you should go into settings/applications and find those apps... most likely it will have the option to uninstall updates... After you do that, the themed versions will appear...
If it only says Uninstall then that means the apps aren't on the system and that's why they didn't get themed
As for MMS.... yes any bugs that other aosp MMS may have, this will probably have them as well... this uses the aosp by sparkerjc which is also used in beans rom and I think MOAR Rom as well

For the most part, ICS/JB is a user interface change. Pleasant looking menus with a cool blue color. There are quite a few options out there to give your G2X the look/feel of ICS/JB but I had my eye on efficiency.
The Ice10 Theme and Holo apps are easy on the battery and use little additional CPU. Of course, if you increase cache sizes and use fancy transitions YMMV. But I'm quite happy with my ICS/JB themed phone.
1. Start with the latest CM7 Nightly. I don't know if this works with other ROMs, but it should. GB7.2 is recommended.
2. DO A NANDROID BACKUP
3. Install the ICE10 Theme: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2003484

. . Put the Ice10.apk on your SD Card, click to install. Then start the Theme Chooser app, select Ice10 and click Apply.

For the Ice10 Theme, the G2X resolution is already 240DPI so no changes are needed.
I paid for Holo Launcher Plus because the full ICS/JB experience is well worth the $1.99. It includes additional transitions and improvements. Holo Launcher is insanely customizable! The dock is scrollable and can have up to 10 icons. The Desktop and Drawer each have settings for the "scrolling cache", which is none, Low quality, Normal quality, and High quality. All this really means is the higher the quality, the more RAM it uses to make the transitions faster and smoother You can also change the desktop and app drawer grid size so you can fit a hell of a lot more apps on your screen.
For both Holo apps, I recommend going into the Settings and disabling Auto check for Updates and Auto Report. I don't like my apps checking for updates in the background, uses battery and CPU.
The Ice10 theme XDA thread contains wonderful info on final mods you can make to truly have the complete and total ICS/JB look/feel. Keep in mind that isn't a G2X thread so some of the mods, like the final Menu mods, are phone and ROM specific, so someone would have to make those additional mods specific for the G2X and specific ROM.
The below screenshots are for my CM7 Nightly ROM. Notice how Holo Launcher gives you a dramatic difference in the Settings. The Menu button is also different and the menu options are completely customizable.

This is really a fantastic mod. I have all the user interface benefits of ICS/JB while having a totally operational phone with HW acceleration. I really don't need or don't care about using any other ROM at this point, although I'm waiting for Mazout's next kernel.

Yes, you can pull down the notification bar from the lock screen. I just tested it on my phone, I didn't even know ICS could do that!
With the above mods notification bar looks like a cross between ICS and GB. It can be modded to look exactly like ICS/JB.
I see you are enterprising on the theme and guide I mentioned earlier! This is good, but you are missing some vital elements that can make CM7 even more ICS/JB like.

If you are experienced enough or willing to read instructions carefully, you can also use the ACpatcher software to custom mod several apps and the framework to increase the experience. It's very technical, and I don't have the willpower to walk through each and every step.
However, I have made some patches already based on the 2013-03-01 cm7 nightly. I'll see if I can upload them for you guys to give it a whirl. They add ics style notifications, transitions, and phone. See the screenshots attached.

I took a quick look. My focus is on stability and performance, and some of the mod apps mentioned in that thread have huge RAM usage, crash often, and/or have more negative than positive reviews, including the status bar apps.
The Holo Locker lock screen is much better than the GB lock screen. It's easier to use. The only thing I miss is being able to change from ring to vibrate to silent from the lock screen.
Holo Launcher makes the entire experience much more pleasant. It only uses 38MB of RAM.
The Ice10 theme from what I can see uses minimal RAM.
Oh of course. I'm not talking about the RAM using apps, nor do I use any of them...I'm talking about themeing and replacing the framework and phone app to better suit ICS/JB style. That status bar image is completely stock, as is the phone.
These don't affect battery, merely the look.
Download the patches I have made from my dropbox and put them on your sd card.

These patches were made based on the 2013-03-01 CM7.2 Nightly, and I do not know if they will work for older versions or other roms. They are made specifically to work with the Ice10 theme. It is important that these are flashed in the correct order.
1. In CM recovery, make a nandroid backup (although you can also flash the undo.zip files in case of failure. They will restore the original unmodified apps, and you should only need to flash the update-cwm-All-in-1 ICS v11-undo.zip)
2. Select mounts and storage
3. Select mount /system
4. First Flash update-cwm-All-in-1 ICS v11-patch.zip
5. Second Flash update-cwm-JBPhone-pach.zip
6. Last Flash update-Full.ICS.Fonts-with.Clock.Font.zip
7. Wipe cache and dalvik
8. Fix permissions
9. Reboot (will take a few more minutes than usual to rebuild the cache)
Afterwards, you should notice a few things. Your status bar, notifications, font, phone, etc. will be themed more properly to ICS/JB. Good luck!

Inside update-cwm-All-in-1 ICS v11-patch.zip:
You'll find theme modifications to the system apps bluetooth.apk, deskclock.apk, downloadprovider.apk, music.apk, phone.apk, systemUI.apk. These will further theme the system apps to the color and style of ICS/JB.
framework-res.apk is also modified to add ICS/JB transition animations, as well as ICS/JB themed notifications and status bar.
If you look at the images I posted earlier, you'll notice that the status bar notifications have that little square on the left, in the manner of ICS.
Inside update-cwm-JBPhone-patch.zip,
you'll find another phone.apk, framework-res.apk. This must be flashed after the first patch, as it will overwrite the the previous ones. This will give your phone app a more ICS/JB style look as well. See screenshots from earlier.
The last patch, update-Full.ICS.Fonts-with.Clock.Font.zip, merely adds the ICS roboto font across your device.
The undo-patches simply return the themed apps back to the original CM7 stock ones. Is it imperative that the theme patches are flashed correctly in the instructions mentioned previously if you wish to use them.
Will the patches work with Hellfire rom?

Got it! IT WORKS!
However, the headings ("Wireless and Networks", "Interface", etc) aren't the nice cool blue color. How do I get that?
BTW, if anyone is having problems copying settings.apk into system/root using ES file Explorer, after you click "Mount File System (mount /system as writable)", you need to close ES, then restart.
It has to do with the parameters set by the Ice10 theme. This is probably out of our control, unless someone edits the theme file itself to change the codes and such. Way out of my ability, anyways.

will i be able to play shadowgun deadzone on cm7... and does it just change the theme or is it in bedded
It's just a theme change. You shouldn't lose anything. Why, is there some tweak needed to play that game?
ya .. it only can work on droid 3.0 and up .. cannot get it to install on gb 2.3-7 im sure they have a modified version for gb but u cannot play multiplayer on it
