Hey guys, brudis1 here. it has been brought to my attention by a good friend that I may have offended some or all of the members of this forum due to my choice of words when I asked about security in an earlier thread. I would like to appologize to anyone that I may have offended by my question... it was not my intention to offend, disrespect, and surely not to accuse anyone, I'm just a newb at all this stuff and really excited about my new evo and all the really cool things I would like to do with it...I really appreciate all the help that I've recieved thus far and only ment to ask the security question in a genaral sense... I know that there are tons of "Awesome" developers on this forum and I can only dream of learning how to do some of the things I've seen you guys do..So to all the developers that get a change to read this; I appologize with great humbleness for putting my foot in my mouth. I know all of you put in a great deal of work on helping folks out like who obviously don't a *#@%& thing about this type of community... so Flame me or whatever you guys call it (I deserve it man!) but I would still like to recieve whatever type of helpful pointers anyone would like to provide.

Thanks very much to adult person who help me in despiste of my lost in this marvellous communauty and huge source of knowledge about HTC.

why don't you try searching or even reading the first sticky! how f*"ken rude..
Why? i use XDA-Wiki with a nice checklist, go in FTP, i don't still find it.
But my second question, is it a offical ROM from HTC?
................................................................
Seriously, at least make an effort to find it yourself, a sincere effort. If you couldn't find it in the wiki through searching, then use search over here first before asking. The stickies up top just about tell you everything you need. You can also find the answer to your second question through searching.
And people wonder why those who are here to help and develop those Custom ROMs and .cabs get frustrated, this is the reason why.
I don't usually get involved in silly childish remarks flying back and fourth but seriously guys do we really have to use swear words here??? We are all adults. Ok we sometimes cannot find something and in my case I post and apologize dearly if something I am looking for was posted but I couldn't know where to find it. This does not warrant rude remarks by anyone, even the owners of the XDA-DEVELOPERS guys. I will not reply to any remarks regarding my post.. just my two cents.
Thank you and have a flowery nice peaceful day.
Gilbert
Is there any possible way that we can create a thread that pertains ONLY to ROM releases, rather than the comments and issues that are involved with them? It's somewhat irritating to filter through 1000's of posts, just to find rom releases. It would be much more convenient to only have a single area with releases.
Does anyone agree?
Uhmmm, yes I do agree. Thats why I made it...its a sticky at the top of this forum...called ROM Ratings, Reviews.....yada yada...its got some of my impressions of the ROMs, and the links to em.
hey ashasaur!!!!
POLL....... Does it must be a Thread where we can said everybody to search before post????
If you think that YESSSSS!!!!!! so please post behind and type YES!!!
if not... you are one of this guys that dislikes to read.

I didn't understand a word of what you said. I think some conjugations got lost in translation.
Nonetheless, I saw the rom ratings and programs thread, but it still had a bunch of babble after the first couple posts... then it turns into yet another yap fest. I'm not trying to be a ****, I'm just giving a bit of constructive criticizm. I understand there are quite a few people putting their heart and souls into this, and it's greatly appreciated. But, it can be a bit tough to navigate and find what you want.
I Agree!!!

But... so... please post your "constructive" criticizm thoughts on that thread cause this kind of threads makes too hard to find that roms and begins the problem you are talking about, and to get answer, and dont seems like a fool, and to be heard i mean...
Thanks in advance...

I still can't understand what you're trying to say. It's as if someone threw a bunch of words into a bag that dealt with ROMS and Criticizm and tossed them into a paragraph.
The reason I made this post was because the other was long, and I wanted to address the fact that it was TOO LONG. After a certain point, the ROM post was no longer functional for what its specific purpose was. For me to post in that thread, would be going against why I wrote this, and why you ran your mouth in the first place.
The ROM list thread needed to be locked to only admins or the owner. Have a different thread for ROM recommendations to post on to that LOCKED thread, so you don't have casual conversation and questions thrown into it. This "Constructive" criticizm is meant for admins and for others to ponder, so it's easier to navigate. Unless you have those powers, please quite pissing about this ****ing post and do something worthwhile. I'm not here to waste my time with some moron who has a broken translator program.. I just want to point out that there MAY BE A BETTER WAY to assist people if you would quit arguing with me.
Lordy, what is it with all of these new users goin off like this? A trend begins to form!

Can you parent up and take a look at the legitimate question I asked before having someone jump on me, only because they had no idea what I was trying to accomplish? Because I've been on this site since June, and haven't had anything to say except for a recommendation, I don't have the right to defend myself against someone?
I didn't ask any other questions, because flashing and creating roms isn't exactly rocket science. The point I was getting across, only dealt with the way they were posted on the site.
Please, tell me you wouldn't feel offended if the same words were said to you, when you were trying to help and have a tiny bit more experience than rom building. I find the site interesting and think it's cool that everyone's creating their own. I also have respect for the admins, because I did this type of work years ago. The thing I don't have respect for, is some kid telling me to do a search in a condescending manner, just because he's posted enough garbage on a website to consider him a "Senior Member" though he obviously hides behind admins like the little chihuahua you see in cartoons, jumping around the big bulldog.
I'm through with this post, and I'm sure you're pleased about it. You can post after me, knowing that the pansy (and probably incomprehensible) comment you leave will be without a rebuttle. This isn't at "Ashasaur", and I'm sure he'll understand what I'm getting at.
Just because an old veteran in programming decides to mess with his cell phone and help some admins with their website layout, doesn't mean he should be treated with disrespect because he JUST created a user on the site. It's like ****ing Juan Valdez walking into Starbucks and asking for a black coffee, only to be laughed at because he didn't know they didn't serve it.
oh ye ya boy luv the way you bashed him ,these seniors think cos we new to this forum we durh or somthang and btw with your post i totaly agree

Well, the fact that you have posted this apology shows maturity and a good attitude, I applaud you for that.
I don't know the circumstances you talk of, but that doesn't matter. We all get excited and hyped up when we get a new "toy" and want to get to know as much about it as possible, so it's understandable.
XDA is a simply amazing place to learn about Windows Mobile or Android, or any common pda/smartphone. You'll find the more you participate in discussions and play with new roms and applications, the more you'll learn...but most importantly, make sure you have fun
Thanks
I appreciate the response, it is encouraging to see that someone understands where I'm coming from.. this is the first response I've had in around 7 different posts sinse I asked about the security of my phone after rooting it and trying new roms... Considering the fact that I use my phone for online banking sometimes, I realize I should have formed my question a little more tactfully instead of asking what's to keep a developer from creating some kind of back door in some of the developements to have access to other folks' information... After reading the rules and just observing the great respect and credibility among the members of this forum, I'm kind of ashamed to have even asked a question like but anyways that neither here or there...again, I do appreciate your response.
Thanks a bunch!
All you developers or programmers I know are tired of the same old questions but you guys give answers as if we're all in developers school. You assume too much. When someones a noobie please be gentle and direct us or teach us. We're inspired by you so when you snap at us with comments, we take it or at least I take it as if your all conceided. You guys started as noobs too. We want to learn thats why we're all on this site because there are so many good programmers and good people on here. I love the stuff I see on here, all the ideas and the help that we do receive but once in a while I see chopped up advice that confuses me at least. I would love to be a programmer and developer and it wouldn't bother me to teach a noobie who is willing to learn.
Sorry but thats my little tiff. But its all true.
Hello One S community! I would just like to start by welcoming all the new comers and to the guys and gals that have been here for a bit, hello.
I wanted to just ask everyone out of civility and courtesy to try and keep this development community friendly and enjoyable for everyone. I know that we are all from different parts of the world, different cultures, and different backgrounds. There is one thing that keeps us coming back and that is android. We all love it and all enjoy all the hard work developers and themers put together for us as their hobby and passion.
A lot of times things can be misinterpreted through text and a tone can't be carried sometimes in responses or posts, so I just ask out of courtesy and respect for one another that we try and take this into consideration. Let's not turn this area of Xda into a place were people are affraid to ask questions or reply because of eager flamers.
Which leads me into Q&A, if you have a question or issue post it in the right area, there are a lot of guys on here that are very knowledgeable and are willing and able to answer most questions. But make sure you use the search function in each of the Topic areas, even googling your question most of the time will lead you to the right topic on Xda. If not we will have sections with repeat questions which get hard to weed through when responding...or you'll get a bunch of threads like mine. Pointless and a waste of space.
I just hope that we can change the tone of what people have seen Xda become lately and return it to the place it used to be, a site where people who love modding and hacking devices can hang out, learn and teach. Well if I didn't piss you off posting this then cool keep it positive, if I did, sorry. Just want people, devs, and hobbiest to stick around and enjoy this.
One last bit of advice for the newer guys, devs and themers hate it when you ask for an update. Or when its coming out. Sit back enjoy and help each other out. Ok I'm done, sorry for wasting space and time. Carry on...and ignore the man behind the curtin.
Cheers.

Another thing, search twice before you post a question, and be sure to mention that you searched if you can't find anything. People are a lot more forgiving if you do this.
