Maybe you could explain a bit more

wow did you pay $22 ?
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Cell-Ph...rs/pcmcat171900050024.c?id=pcmcat171900050024
Its available at other online stores for a fourth of that (or less), even ebay.

I can't really use it if I want it to be charging. It pulls it and some part of it doesn't touch when I'm using it so I have hold it in place

And it only charges as USB power instead of AC like the Verizon one.

I have a generic one it say 1 amp does not charge my phone.
I want one, that I can use the cable that came with my phone or one that comes with a micro USB cable.
Dual USB one would be a plus.
Thank you.

$4 for a 950ma charger with a micro usb adaptor. This charges my phone really well. You can still charge your phone while using your GPS.

This is a 3rd party seller through Amazon. I bought mine from Amazon directly and it was around $5.

The tmobile "universal" charger is available on ebay for about $12. Micro usb cord, plus usb port for an extra device. Good for about 1 amp. Works great with g2x, g2, vibrant, and an ipod...
for the same price range (shipped for $4.56), I have this one - Output: DC5.5V +/-5% and Max 1000mA - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160576610155
Thanks for all the replys. I have some chargers to look over tomorrow.

That's the same one on ebay for $4.56 shipped (with the cable). I have one, it works great.
I have this one from monoprice.com; $1.16 plus shipping (add some cables to amortize the shipping charge), and it works just fine.

Just wondering where it says it outputs 2 amps. If that's the case I'll head over to bestbuy and pick one up

It doesn't say on their website or the box either. A little google-ing finds the answer easily enough tho. Here's a best buy Q&A that lists it at 2amps and there are several other sites that list the same specs.

I agree with you, I have been using one since the mid 90's and it has more than paid for itself by the savings from not having to buy cigarette lighter adapters. Also, before I retired, I used it to charge my laptop while driving from one client meeting to another

Charger has a short cord

this is my first HTC device, so maybe this is standard... but with my 2 prior samsung devices, the usb cord that came with the charger was about twice as long as the one that came with my HTC One X. it seems like it is unreasonably short. i'm going to have to get an extension cord to plug it into the wall and let the phone sit on my nightstand while charging!

You can always use your old usb cords they will work

Like the person above me said, use the old one you have. Problem solved.
All phone companies are going this way. A penny saved is a penny earned. lol. I guess we have Apple to thank for this one. Their sync cables have always been short. Only takes one, and the rest will follow.

yeah i'm sure the old one will work. but i want to sell my ATT GSII, and to get the most money for it i'll have to sell the charger with it. really don't want to go out and buy another usb cord... so i'll just go with the extension cord in the outlet. it is disappointing though.
mine is the same length as my samsung usb...
nevermind

mine is a good 6 inches shorter, at least. which samsung? i've had an infuse and a SGSII (both AT&T) over the past 9 months, and those have long usb cords.
Search eBay for "samsung OEM micro USB cable". I bought a whole bunch of them a while back; about $1.99 each with free shipping. Also, you can get the Samsung wall chargers, which have a lengthy cord as well. Search for "Samsung OEM wall charger", when I bought them they were around $3.00

Not gonna be very compact but I can see using that and an external Battery to make it 100% wireless.

But you would need a power source, the mat can't just obtain electricity out of thin air. The closest we may get to a truly wireless charger is a solar powered one...

Yeah but you could just make a power bank, that had the ability to use inductive charging, for example, the official Google wireless charger for the Nexus 4,imagine if there was a battery inside that semisphere, so it's a power bank, you charge it at home and take it to wherever you want, when u put your phone on top, it starts charging, it's not getting the electricity out of nowhere, it's getting it from the internal battery inside the semisphere that u charged at home, the same way u could build a mat that does this, batteries are like 0.5 millimeters thick, so you could make a mat that is 1cm thick and u charge it at home, then u take it with you and u charge your phone putting it on top of it... Any of those would be awesome

Back up LG OEM Travel Charger

I do a lot of traveling and need a reliable backup charger for my nexus 4 but don't want to play m pay $20+ (with shipping) for another nexus charger. I found this charger on Amazon, says it's an LG OEM Charger so I'm thinking it should be of decent quality and compatible with the nexus. Anyone purchased this charger for their nexus or have experience with it?

dual android car charger

Anyone recommend a dual usb/Android car charger. Preferably a 2 amp if it exists. The wife and I both have galaxy's an S3 and an S4 and it would be great if we could both charge of the same car charger. If one does not exist I suppose I could use 2 separate 2 amp ones since we have dual charger ports in the van one battery and one engine
Thanks
Monoprice has a dual port 4.2a charger on sale right now for under 10 bucks.
Lots of 3.1 amp dual chargers on eBay for like 5$. They are usually 2.1 amp on one port and 1 amp on the other port. But 4.2 amp dual charger for 10 isn't a bad deal to be honest.

I think the reason they mark one as Ipad is because the ipad requires a min of 2.1a to charge. Smartphones require less. But I don't think the usb port connector is any different. I am pretty sure you could still charge any other device through the port marked as ipad as well. I'm headed out of town for the weekend but I can try charging my other phone through the 2.1a port and let you know

I bought one of these : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AYTLSRQ/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works great, it's 2.1a so iPads and some other tablets can also charge on it, and it's very small (it sticks out even less than the original cigar lighter )
It charges quite fast as well.
