[APP Request] Silent SMSs - Android Apps and Games

There is an excellent small application on WM called "HushSMS" which is used to send special types of SMS (mainly type0 and Class0).
Any chance to find\develop a similar one for Android.
TIA

A little bit of googling lead me to this:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/flash-sms/com.qf.FlashSMS
seems to be janky, but I can't find anything else on android

Yes I 'm aware of this app but it does send only flash SMS. If you got the chance to try the HushSMS for WM you will know what I mean
Thanks anyway for taking the time to search and replay.

SMS & Smileys

Hi,
does anyone know how to add Smileys to the standart SMS application in WM 6 Classic (I am using a Moto Q9h)?
I also wouldn't mind to buy a Program - however all I found so far don't seem to work on the Q9.
Thanks for some ideas/links/cabs...
Smiley SMS
Have you tried SmileySMS? If not, maybe you want to try it, get it here on post 185 (got more smiley added):

If you have tried it, then just forget this post
Hi,
thanks for your Tip - however that Program doesn't seem to work on a WM Classic/Smartphone like my Moto Q9h
But - please: keep it coming!
Thanks!

1.2 works fine, but only for the pop ups, not for the tmail application.
try Extreme Text
Had a few problems with smiley sms as it doubles the incoming sms...is there anything else i can do?
Cheers.

Mark threaded SMS: "unread", a call as "missed"

Hi,
there are times when I am in a rush and I receive a SMS that I should reply to, or a missed call, but I totally forget about it later. It even happens that I just say "I'll call you back in 5 minutes" and - remember to call a person tomorrow!
Now I didn't want to ask here if someone knows a good doctor for the senile persons, but:
I know that it's possible in old displaying way (every SMS displayed for itself), but every new rom has a treaded SMS - not to mention that I like this new way of displaying much more.
So:
Also - for Calls: "Mark call as missed" option?
Thanks in advance,
Nenad
P.s. - I am almost sure it's not possible through a menu, but there might be another way - REG, cab that I missed...
P.p.s. - if there is no way to do it (by now) - could it be a good idea for someone with skills and some free time?
same request here!
with old HTC Vox (S710) this worked fine - but with the new 6.1 its impossible;(
if I switch formTHREAD-Modus to the old behaviour its possible again...so WTF microsoft did here?
and is there a solution for using the UNREAD also in thread mode?
So - no solution for this problems?
Well, it looks like every progress - this one also has it's bad sides...

Vibrate phone Until I read the SMS, hard to do?

Hi!
I'm looking for a program that basically vibrate my phone when I get a SMS from sender X (not from Y or anyone else). But also vibrate the phone until I read the SMS.
I have been googling my ass off to find a program that will allow this but can't find any. So I gave up and decided that I will try to do it myself.
I have done some intermediate coding in VB6/VB.Net, more than basic C++ and very basic Java. Never coded anything to mobilephones.
Is this possible to do? If so, how hard? Do you think I will be able to do it?
The program should work on HTC S740 (WM6 Standard)

Well the latter of you ideas already exists here on this forum(the reminder vibrate). The first of your ideas also exists if you are will to block sender Y's alerts (audio and vibrate) all together. Just do a little searching if you are interested in these programs.
CG
did you take a look at PhoneAlarm? you can make some profiles, which can repeat the sms alert virbration untill you read the sms
MissedCallReminder.. just download it and you're done
on the other hand, it's not free but spb phone suite also does this.

Windows Mobile 6.1 - Text Message question/rant

Hey guys,
First time posting, big fan of xda.
My question/rant is: Why can't windows mobile handle a large amount of texts? Has anyone found a workaround to this?
I use text messaging to communicate with all of my friends, and have hysterical and important texts I get on a daily basis and want to keep around forever.
I just upgraded from a dash to a touch pro, just because the dash couldn't handle keeping my texts around... and low and behold neither can the touch pro. I only have around 4,000 in my inbox (had to clean this out a few months ago) and 9 or 10,000 in my sent. With these hardware specs, it shouldn't be a problem. But why is it? As a long time software developer and from the perspective that I don't want to trash important items for no apparent hardware reason, this makes me irate!
Has anyone had any luck configuring WM to handle this many texts? If not, does anybody else try to keep around their texts? I've been reduced to backing them up and storing them elsewhere...
Thanks for your help!
Can't handle as in, no more room to store them, or as in, it gets laggy.
If lag is your problem, you could just create a folder (or more) called something like "archive" and store everything there. With fewer message in the inbox lag shouldn't be a problem

SMS applications for Windows Mobile?

Are there any applications to replace the standard Windows Mobile SMS application? I find using the WM SMS app with a virtual keyboard to be cumbersome and the UI is less-than elegant.
I'm certainly not asking for iChat, as I'm not exactly fond of how it looks either, but I do want something that will at least let me easily proof-read my texts that are longer than 2 lines without having to stab the up and down arrow with just the right sensitivity as to not make me lose my place.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to make the SMS experience better for WM 6.1?
Thanks,
Nick
You're not the first to ask.
Whilst unfortunately I cannot aid - what I can tell you is that I know several have asked/tried and i've not found a decent solution.
Manila has a different interface for sms these days but its not without its problems, particularly on a landscape device (at least with the rom i have on my x1)
Non-Threaded sms allows for better proof reading but of course its not threaded.
I'm interested in something aswell, unfortunately any of my programming knowledge is useless for such an application
Have you try "Vito SMS"??

Looks like an interesting option, thanks for recommending it. Do you have any screenshots of how it handles long messages (multipart SMSs over 160 characters)? I can't install it on my phone right now nor can I find any screenshots showing that functionality on various search engines.
I'm fine with the Windows Mobile 6.1 implementation of threaded SMS; my main problem lies in the presentation of reading back long messages in a tiny, tiny text area that is impossible to scroll just using touch.
Thanks,
Nick
PCM??
Have you looked into Pocket CM yet?
