Mark threaded SMS: "unread", a call as "missed" - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
there are times when I am in a rush and I receive a SMS that I should reply to, or a missed call, but I totally forget about it later. It even happens that I just say "I'll call you back in 5 minutes" and - remember to call a person tomorrow!
Now I didn't want to ask here if someone knows a good doctor for the senile persons, but:
I know that it's possible in old displaying way (every SMS displayed for itself), but every new rom has a treaded SMS - not to mention that I like this new way of displaying much more.
So:
Also - for Calls: "Mark call as missed" option?
Thanks in advance,
Nenad
P.s. - I am almost sure it's not possible through a menu, but there might be another way - REG, cab that I missed...
P.p.s. - if there is no way to do it (by now) - could it be a good idea for someone with skills and some free time?

same request here!
with old HTC Vox (S710) this worked fine - but with the new 6.1 its impossible;(
if I switch formTHREAD-Modus to the old behaviour its possible again...so WTF microsoft did here?
and is there a solution for using the UNREAD also in thread mode?

So - no solution for this problems?
Well, it looks like every progress - this one also has it's bad sides...

SMS & Smileys

Hi,
does anyone know how to add Smileys to the standart SMS application in WM 6 Classic (I am using a Moto Q9h)?
I also wouldn't mind to buy a Program - however all I found so far don't seem to work on the Q9.
Thanks for some ideas/links/cabs...

Have you tried SmileySMS? If not, maybe you want to try it, get it here on post 185 (got more smiley added):

If you have tried it, then just forget this post

1.2 works fine, but only for the pop ups, not for the tmail application.
try Extreme Text
Had a few problems with smiley sms as it doubles the incoming sms...is there anything else i can do?
Cheers.

No Ring Tones or Sounds on my Vario 111

I have just flashed Dutty's 6.1 - and will be making a donation soon.
Fantatic job - now I can run Live mail and Messenger, Outlook and an array of stuff I couldn't do before. Well done Dutty.
One issue: I can get an inbound call vibration - but no ring tone - in fact no sounds from the Vario 111 at all.
I hope I have missed a tick or something simple.. any suggestions out there? Please assume you are speaking to a complete dummy when you reply.
Thanks for all the hard work and advice on this board.

Man, this has been asked sooooooooooo many times it is starting to extremely piss people off.
Change to a 6.1 radio and all is solved. Trust me. It's really been asked thousands of times.

No more tmail.exe input !?! ( only numbers and .?& etc)

Hello everyone,
After a lot of "tricks& hicks" on my phone, I've lost the ability to type sms, mail and MMS...
I mean I can type the To: with letters, but when typing any letter in the sms area, nothing except a beep.
I've surfed the forum but nothing, I think I changed in the registry the type of input specificity of the tmail.exe when trying to install HTC keyboard, EZ input...
but can't find where.
Does anyone faced that before, and could give me another answer than Hard Rest ?
Best regards, ad long live XDA

Seems no one ever had this strange sms issue
Hey hey,
I've just seen the answer of skribzy in this topic this night, and it WORKS!!!
big big up to you
QUote:
I had this problems - First get 'HD Tweak'
Open HD Tweak and go down to section 20 (Keyboard)
Disable T9 mode - I think that did it!
Regards and Xda rocks!!!
+1
Cheers Jeant, you just fixed my Diamond from enterring numbers rather than letters in SMS with the keyboard set to phonepad. That'll learn me for changing EVERY setting at once in diamond tweak, if it ain't broke don't fix...

[APP Request] Silent SMSs

There is an excellent small application on WM called "HushSMS" which is used to send special types of SMS (mainly type0 and Class0).
Any chance to find\develop a similar one for Android.
TIA
A little bit of googling lead me to this:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/flash-sms/com.qf.FlashSMS
seems to be janky, but I can't find anything else on android
Yes I 'm aware of this app but it does send only flash SMS. If you got the chance to try the HushSMS for WM you will know what I mean
Thanks anyway for taking the time to search and replay.

[Resolved] [Q] WM6: SMS system like in WM5

Ave
Just bought a phone with WM6.1 and restored messages from my old Hermes 200 [yeh]; it's like few thousands and everytime I want to read one, system loads dozens of historical sms, what takes time and needs patience [which I, of course, lack] - but why? Isn't there any way to change it into standard sms-viewing, like it was in WM5: one click = one message, no history, no conversation, no threading? It looks better and is much more useful for me [because I don't need primitive machine to remind me what I'm talking about; I'm careful what I write ..].
Thanks in advance for any help,
mrd
The Solution
---------------EDIT---------------
Ave
I've done some more digging and came to the solution - this guy found it and described: inthehand.com/blogs/peterfoot/archive/2008/04/08/disable-windows-mobile-6-1-threaded-sms-view.aspx [P. Foot's solution]
In my case, it wasn't about adding new key, but changing existing one in '..\settings\oem'
Enjoy!
