I deleted the exe.file & replaced with another version of the task manager but no success.
Is there any other task managers that i can enable the MISI again? pls help.
p.s. It seems I can't use the cab file "show rotate icon' after using this..
thank you all for your help.

I asked the question and got a working answer:
To re-enable the MIS1: device, set it as automatic using the Task Manager. Then use the registry editor (also in the task manager) to remove the following Keys
"HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\OEM_Misc\Flags"
and
"HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\OEM_Misc\Default Flags"
wait a few seconds, exit the task manager, wait a few more seconds and then soft reset. When the device comes back, automatic screen orientation is once again enabled. I suspect that its just a small bug in the program, and now I have a work-around I'm very happy, but I hope the author does produce a new version
this answer came a bit too late...i did it the hard way.."sprite backup"...anyway..auto switch orientation is actually pretty cool, except, when i flip it during an incoming call..it tends to "lag"...and the call gets unanswered!!! now the problem is...i can't seem to put back the default "show screen orientation" cab file for the tray bar icon!
I've just had a play, and adding a dword value of 1000 (hex) with the name of Flags to HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\OEM_Misc\Flags has stopped the auto-rotation, but the little icon on the today screen still works - best of both worlds for me.
Cheers,
Steve.

Looks like there may be unwanted side effects. Sometimes the screen's backlight times out, despite having that setting switched off, but it does come back on if you touch the screen, and sometimes the screen doesn't go off when you close the clamshell. :-(
Cheers,
Steve.
hi there!
I downloaded JUVS HTC Large Titlebar and HTC Enlarge Start menu CABs and installed both on my E-TEN M800 (VGA).
They installed fine and I now have the "large start menu" item in my system settings.
But when I check the checkbox to turn it on, it still doesnt enlarge.
I rebooted the device and still nothing. I basically only need the zooming of the notification icons in the start-bar.
have I missed something? do i need additional files?
thanks
Bernhard
the old one just for QVGA, try this one, but dun know can it work on ETEN
thanks, but it doesn't work.
maybe it needs touchFLO so its only activated when you use the finger? or something like that?
No touchflow wouldnt make a difference on this. Unfortunatly some of the items on here will only work with HTC devices and i think this may well be one of them im afraid. Unless anyone else can shed any light
Tried the Large Start Menu once on my iPAQ, and what I found was that the service (htcStartMenuService.dll) doesn't automatically start. Using DotFred's Taskmanager to manually start the service made the large start menu appear... until the next soft reset.
The same thing probably happens with the large titlebar thing.
thanks ridolfo, this works!
now i have to find a way to start it automatically on reboot
makes my e-ten even more userfriendly!
edit: i just added this nice and useful taskmanager to my StartMenu and on reboot, i open it, go to the services tab and click the little start icon for the LargeTitleBar service. thats it.
works like a charm.
IIRC, you can even open it on the services tab, using a command-line switch. Have a look in the "About" screen for possible command-line switches (I think it's in the "About" screen, but I'm not sure).
I'm still hoping that someone can explain why some of the HTC services do auto-start, but others don't.
yes, because when you install the LargeTitleBar it correctly creates its entry in the Registry and is bound to be started, but somehow it doesnt.
In my brand new HTC Touch Cruise, large menu option is ticked, but after playing around with apps or settings it becomes small, allthough it's still ticked. I have to disable and reenable it to make it big again. It's a bit of a problem, as it happens often. Advice would be appreciated.
same problem
couldn't this problem be fixed by some registry entires ?
I mean to put an application into autostart shouldn't be a problem, well for me, as a hardcore newp it is acutally, but maybe not fo you guys
on my xperia x1 i've got the same problem .

Hi! at all!
Have you found a solution?
Hello,
I am looking for a program that automatically locks my touch pro as soon as I put it in standy, with the on/off button. Because normally my phone is on vibrate and when I take him out of my pocket again it has typed text messages, called people etc etc.
Thanks!
Bob
Search for S2U2, Pocketshield, Throttle Lock, Touch Pro Lock... There are plenty of these programs on XDA.
You can also use AdvancedConfig to enable autolock if you don't want to install any 3rd party software.

I hate to report that yes, you are lol. It's under the "Screen" set of options in Advanced Config. Once you enable it, it's exactly wat ur looking for, no need for other battery draining 3rd party apps lol
since this thread is already started, i didn't want to start another one. does anyone know of any way (like tweak) to prevent the built-in autolock feature from minimizing all programs? for example, i'll be on opera, have to get sumwhere quickly so I press the power button to put on standby and enable the autolock, and when I turn teh screen back on, the TF3D Home screen is showing, and opera will be minimized. can get pretty annoying if ur in the middle of doing something important on the phone lol

I'm not seeing it either. Version 3.3 and only thing under screen related to lock deals with the backlight.

Whew!! I thought I was going nuts. I was sure that it was not there. I was using NATF's 2.2 ROM and installed ADV config 3.3. There was not an auto lock option. However, this week I flashed to RRE's v4.4 ROM which has adv config preinstalled and there is an option for Auto Lock and to set the delay. I am pretty sure that they were both version 3.3 so i am not sure what happenend.
Oh well. It is there now.
cj
i am using pdacorner rom v17, and in advcfg, there isn't any autolock, in screen, What should i do
In ACT 3.3.0.0 under Screen, the 4th item is called "Auto device lock". Put it in Enable and you have what you want
I'm not seeing the option for 'Auto Device Lock' either, and I'm running Advanced Config 3.3.0.0 as well.
I have downloaded advanced config 3.3 from schaps and it does not give me the option to set the autolock either. I have also used a version packaged with RRE's 4.4 ROM and that did have the option. So I must be doing something wrong but i am not sure what.
But if you want to set it you can always try Diamond Tweak. that gives you the autolock option also.
Hope this helps
cj
Yes, thanks very much for the tip about Diamond Tweak. That worked perfect.
The only problem with this autolock feature is that it's still pretty easy to answer a call inadvertently. Ohter screen locks make it more difficult to answer a call by accident.
I can't get AutoLock Screen v 1.7 to start... I've installed it, soft-reset, made the settings, pressing the "Cancel" button...
...and my OMNIA is getting locked with the "traditional" way, the left bottom button "Locked" appearing and if I'm pressing it another button in the middle of the screen appears.
WHERE IS THE BLOODY AutoLock Screen v 1.7??? Why doesn't starts?
I've mostly given up on browsing cause of the stupid ALWAYS ROTATE s*it the shove up our throat just 'case the iStuff has it. Even they put a rotation lock on the iPad.
If someone knows of a way to turn it off, please help!
I've already tried all the recommended stuff, most of it worked on 9.7, but nothing for the 10.
I tried the usual:
deleted opera from htc gsensor list
added the ideltime=100000000 registry string
searched and deleted anything remotely connected to it in the registry
I can't grasp why is it so hard to put an option for it in Opera???
I'm also willing to completely disable the gsensor.
IIRC I tried turning it off (in the HTC settings) in an older rom, but Opera still auto-rotated. Seems it only affected HTC apps
Have a look on my sig link

If you're referring to the Opera thread, it didn't help much. I posted the question there multiple times in the last year, and got no solution.
Shame to hear that, perhaps if you PM one of the masters over there, like lesscro

Actually, I don't believe I will. I've been look for a year for a solution, and still nothing. Even posted on the official Opera forums, still no replies.
I guess no body uses their phone for much browsing.
I did find a lousy workaround:
start Opera
press home button
position the phone at an comfortable angle
go back to Opera
hold the phone in that position
If you hold the phone still enough, it won't trip the darned auto-rotation.
Uncomfortable but kinda works.
The other one is to slide the keyboard out and use it in landscape mode, but that's even worse.
Opera 9.7
I had the issue wth Opera 9.7 as well, tried changing the registry etc. without success...
And solved with the help of BSB Tweaks 1.61.
1. Run Bsb tweaks.
2. Menu -> rotation
3. Select (check) Opera (opera_mainWndClass)
4. Options -> Rotation status -> disabled
5. Close -> Exit
6. Soft Reset
Other things such as album rotates, but opera doesn't.
Hope this helps.
Hey bro i get this app from the market Honeybar it work great with root access.
I work with touchwiz work 100%.
Program tested MX Video Player,Dolphin Browser HD.
It works well and I suggest using Button Savior in conjunction. Barely seen my taskbar in a week
Works pretty well, main problems I have with it are accidentally re-enabling the taskbar in games (tapping near the bottom), and also accidentally hiding it when trying to hit the 'menu' button in portrait mode. They're too close together so it's hard to avoid hitting it.
I asked the author about the possibility of other trigger locations, or gestures, and he responded but didn't sound like he planned to do anything soon.
I installed HB myself, and although it is nice in some ways to get the taskbar (I use that reference with tongue'in'cheeck) out of the way, there are too many apps I have that place "menu" in the location of the hidden button even when I set it to shift left. Many apps I have to rotate to landscape to get to the apps settings menu hidden behind the shift-left positioning for HB. It's just not a sound UI choice.
The option to just leave the taskbar hidden and use Button Savior is better, but it's like using one hack to make another one work halfway correctly in its effects. HB needs more development and it doesn't look like it's going to happen as of now.

Thanks very much for your info. Yeah... this Button Savior is a real true name in case of the HoneyBar's gone somewhere..
Problem I see with using Button Savior all the time is that you do lose the notifications.. and then it's still easy to accidentally bring back the real bar when playing games etc. Oh well.

I don't know about the games... the notification is hiding except the sound but the real trouble is when the call is coming.... you have to activate the task bar to bring back the panel "Answer or Denied" (!!!)
FYI

I did indeed get quite angry at the loss of notifications but I was able to (sort of) get around that by changing the screen density to 171 using Blade Buddy. This set me back to a 2.x launcher.
It doesn't really work 100% however as browser, Gmail, Google Talk will constantly crash. I was able to work around the browser by just getting another browser and Gmail by uninstalling the Honeycomb version of Gmail and installing the Gingerbread version. I didn't care enough to do anything more than uninstall Google Talk.
On the positive side I no longer have to deal with the taskbar. Ever.

Does the Gingerbread version have the Gingerbread UI? i.e. without the multi-paned stuff? I tried loading a Gingerbread version a while back but it didn't work (just crashed). I prefer Gingerbread style -- more room for the content rather than lists of labels.

Yes this is exactly my only issue with honeybar. it would be nice if we could choose the right side as the "offset". Even in portrait I have space just to the right of center that would allow access to honeybar on/off and not interfere with the menu on a lot of apps.
There's a much better way to do this. Using tasker, I have a profile set up that auto hides the toolbar for certain apps and then restores it automatically when I switch away from them.
Follow the instructions in this thread:

Yes but how do you switch away from them?
That is actually what I am trying to figure out how to do. I am trying to set it up when in specific apps it takes away the task bar but also only within these apps after something... (haven't really figured that out yet) happens it will bring it back for an exit. In a perfect world I would love to be able to press both volume buttons to close an app. Which in this case would be perfect but tasker can't do that...
I'm using task switcher pro. It lets you map a gesture to the back button or home button.

what might be cool is to "shake" device to bring back the bar.
you guy also can use AutomateIt... kind of like tasker but to me it more friendly user...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123423
and the pro version is cheaper too...
Using tasker I did manage to make the bar go away by shaking. Instead of setting programs to do it make it toggle the bar by using a shake. I don't have it in front of me to do step by step but if someone wants me to I can put it up.
I would most certainly love to see that "How too" Zadeis.
Thanks.
Here you go!

OK the link smaug408 put up leads to a guide on how to set up a task that when an App starts it will remove the bar at the bottom. The thing is though you no longer have a back button and get out of the app unless it has a dedicated exit button.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301857
I take no credit for the premade files for tasker. The thanks goes to the creator Quietthinker through that link.
-First Open the link and download the attached StatusBarToggle.zip and place the files into /sdcard/Tasker/tasks (in this case you will only need the StatusBarToggle.tsk.xml, the StatusBar_Hide.tsk.xml, and the StatusBar_Show.tsk.xml files)
-Second open tasker and go to the "tasks tab" and tap and hold the Tasks Tab at the top. An options window will come up but select Import and import all of them into tasker
-Third go to the profiles tab and tap the Green plus at the left and give it a name. ShakeToToggle can work but you can name it whatever you like.
A context window will popup and you will select Event and then the Sensor Category and finally select the Shake Event.
You can mess around with the setting for the shake gesture now or tweak it in to your liking after everything is set up up to you.
-Forth once you have the setting you like press the green check mark, select the StatusBarToggle task and you are done. Now when you shake your tablet side to side it will make the status bar go away.
Now I just happened to figure out that you can shake instead of using an app for the context. I take little credit for how this works.
This method requires Super User Permissions. It will ask on the first toggle of the bar if you allow it to remember it afterward, if not it will ask each time.
Great app. Works perfectly
