Trying to add the maps live wallpaper to my X10 on 2.1 but can't see it under live wallpapers? any ideas?

Yeah I don't have it either. But it's not a problem for me and probably most others lol. Maybe you can download it somewhere? I dunno dude.

I couldn't find it either, but I did find one called Advanced map that lets you select from a number of different map sources. Best part is that it's free. Here's the description:
Set your favourite map as a Live Wallpaper showing your current position. Maps include Ordnance Survey, Google, Satellite, Bing, OpenStreetMap, and USA VFR and IFR charts (aviation)
* Automatic position refresh
* Map caching (low data usage)

You can search for it in the market or if you have a barcode scanner app you can go to the link I posted and scan the barcode there to pull it up.
It's worked pretty well for me so far.
Mine offered it after I installed brut maps.

I dont have it either... tried to find a solution for it.. but have not till dat... :-(
I think that it is only available for froyo (2.2)

Has Google Streetview stopped working in v4.0 of GMM?
Or is this an issue with the Leo?
On my Touch Pro I would just hold the stylus to the screen and a menu popped up with Street view as an option.
On the HD2 I can't see, to get to this. A finger on the screen brings up the address of where I am touching and a small picture that looks like it could be Street View, but I can't select it.
It this my fat monk fingers or has it stopped working on the Leo or in this version of GMM?
If it is still there, I'm guessing it doesn't work with the compass yet (for turning the view).

I have never been able to see streetview, never ever, its not listed under layers on any street ive ever pressed, I just presume that the google car hasnt been round huddersfield yet.
Seconded on the icons, i want them ones

was curious when i saw this post. I dont get street view near me either as i dont live in a city. I can confirm that street view is available in London but i havent tried other cities. I just held on the map until the location was displayed and then clicked that to get more options and one was streetview. im presuming other cities such as Liverpool and Manchester may have street view also.

i had this issue before.this is caused by another app you have instaled on your HD2.some apps seems to replace font for google maps.i know it is bad news but you will have to find out whitch one it is by try and error.install and uninstall.sorry.

That's bad news indeed...i've got a lot of mods done allready. Thanks for your answer I'll try uninstalling some cabs, what worked for you?
Simply uninstalling Googlemaps will also work and is quit less time consuming

reinstalling google maps does not help.it will stay the same.at least it did for me.i would try first some apps which are older or using simple types of GUI.i had this problem with GPS Speedo app as far as i can remember.
I just pressed the screen/card and get a menu. Here you can chose streetview!
I found it yesterday, but its being a bit flaky finding places that I know have streetview (as I've looked at them before on my Touch Pro).
It seems that in this new version (4.0) you hold a finger on the screen and a cross appears. It then automatically tried to find the adress where that cross is.
When it find the address a ballon pops up over the cross with the adress AND a small streetview picture.
Tapping that Streetview picture does nothing!
You have to press the 'Select' softkey at the bottom which brings up a menu.
Briefly, at the moment, I see 'checking streetview' but streetview is not an option on the menu that pops up. Yesterday streetview WAS on that menu.
So... that's where it's gone in the new version, bt it seems to be being a bit flaky at the moment.

How exactly did you set yours up? Don't see an option for it
Install latest maps update and choose maps in live wallapers. Very simple.

Check the market for the latest version of Maps... 4.1 will leave a new Live Wallpaper to utilize...

Thanks, I was looking inside the maps application. Didn't realize it was added to live wallpapers.

Yeah, I noticed this too...
only way i managed was to go back to live wallpaper, select the map. Once there by pinch/zoom motion i finally managed to zoom out though took a bit of trying.
needs a fix

Tap with two fingers to get it to zoom out.
Tried to update mine, but I'm getting an error, package file incorrect. I'm on Modaco's custom alpha 15.
Can't get mine updated as I could even find the map...sigh in Malaysia by the way anyone got the apk
Looks like the map wall paper does not use the GPS to find the location. The location on the wallpaper is far off from the correct location. Is there a way to make it use the GPS?

needs 2.1. so it is only working on the nexus one for the moment
I got mine working on a rooted HTC Hero running Damage ROM. It's pretty cool I must admit however I can't zoom out like someone mentioned earlier and it takes the speed boost from the 2.1 upgrade back around the speed of Fresh 1.1. It's cool though, although I feel I will be switching back in forth to my Sense.
Single tap with two fingers to zoom out
Double tap with one finger to zoom in
Crashes sometimes...

Starting from two days ago the weather of genie widget is not working, it supposed to show the hourly report when sliding the bar, but nothing changed when I slide now
My phone is SGS vibrant and the genie widget is download from somwhere, I tried reinstall, find a new one and install and it doesn't work

Yes is there any replacement, i tried beautiful widget but it takes me to the browser for the hourly report which is kinda stupid...

be sure to report fixes or what a user might have done to break the hourly view. I love the app for that hourly view.

Anyone else having this problem...I go to the weather app on my brand new MT4G, enter in my zip code and it says "location cannot be found"...I tried the zip, and city...it tells me to "try to enter in English"....uh, I am typing in English?!?!?
Any ideas? I searched, but to no avail

HTC weather apps are well known for having very limited weather locations per area, because of this we used to modify the included weather data base.. but with the MT4G you can use the Current Location feature instead, as it will pull weather data for the local you are at. Personally I find the HTC Weather app limiting, I use Weather Bug, the paid version has no ads, it is highly customizable and shows a wealth of information.. the wigets are cool too
Try to find an app called "Go Weather" I havn't looked back since =D

Well, yeah. San Diego is Spanish. Its Spanish for Saint Diego, or more commonly, Saint Didacus of Alcalá. Apparently Saint Didacus coached the Chargers to their first back-to-back championship seasons in 1459 and 1460. I dunno. Sports History was not my strong subject in school.
