Not on XDA.
As you have found out, XDA doesn't tolerate warez or warez requests, so please don't ask for warez anywhere on the site.
Please read the forum rules at http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=530 before posting, as I notice you are new to xda, and think about the ethics of asking for free access to something which has cost lots of money to develop.
You want them? Buy them.
Most of them are crap anyway.

.... and just a little addition regarding the ethics,... the reason we are so anti warez here is simply that if we as consumers do not purchase software and games legitimately, hard working developers (more so the independent ones) could simply decide to pack it all in,... We'd be truly stuffed then.

Treated unfairly at xda

Dear ardchoille,
You have received an infraction at xda-developers.
Reason: Commercial Links in Signature/Profile/Post
-------
Linking to sites with paid work is not allowed under XDA rules.
-------
This infraction is worth 3 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.
All the best,
xda-developers

The mods removed my "make a request link" in my signature.. I guess I'm no longer allowed to do custom artwork for the community. First they tell me that I can't link to my paid themes, but they don't do anything to people linking to paid apps. Now I get an infraction for having a "donate" links in my signature but tons of others are allowed to do this.
Why are these moderators singling me out for punishment when I'm doing the same things others are doing? Is this how we want our xda community managed?
1st off. I will come right out and say it.
NO ONE, I mean no one from the Team Whiskey Development Team sent in a complaint. We all appreciate everything you do for our team, so why would we do that.
2nd, Someone who says they are from Team Whiskey, that isn't the following:
Sombionix, ViralBlack, myself (Krylon360), DesignGears, Morfic, ardchoille, and SkOrPn; are lying.
And as far as the infraction, you may as well give EVERYONE who has a link in their sig that has Pay For stuff on that site a infraction, starting with me. Why, because we have a Donator's section.
Enjoy.
Krylon360 off XDA.
If you really are the only one treated this way, looks more like personal vendetta instead of forum moderation.
They have done this to me also, which i think it really stupid,
all i did was provide invites to a certain site, not post the link of the site here,so they banned me for 7 days, maybe those ppl need a life
and also new mods are allowed to break the rules but if membes do they get a warning
Since the OP has been posting links to paid/commercial software it falls under rules 7, 8 and 11 of the Forum rules
So this infraction was giving in full compliance with the rules.
If there are (as implied) other users who link to software with the intent to sell, please report them so we can evaluate and take the necessary actions.
If you think you are treated unfairly, please contact one of the board Admins, present your case in a rational matter and they will look into it.
Opening a thread isn't a good way to handle it.
Regards,
EquinoXe
Ok, since you want to play like that, I am more than happy to explain my (and other mod's actions) in public.

If it isn't clear enough, you are clearly selling your work on XDA. Your signature was modified to remove the link to your website where you are selling the themes (in case you don't see any issue with that, this is known as advertising)
Just as my pm as well as pulser_g2's pm, we both quoted the rules that you are breaking by doing this. In case you missed them, here they are:
7. Do not spam.
If you wish to advertise a product, contact us we provide ads. But do not post it in the forums, it will be removed and you're likely to receive a ban.
You are however allowed to sell used goods like your own device, parts of your device or accessories for your device in the marketplace forum, please read the rules there before posting. (This rule includes signatures, if you use a signature it will appear in your post)

11. Don’t post with the intent on selling something.
As an elaboration to rule number 7, don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. If you are the proprietor of a for-pay product or service, you may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or offer support on the product, but you may not make any posts with the primary intent of selling. This includes posting press releases, announcements, or links to downloads for trial software; the only exception to this is when you’re posting an exclusive release to XDA. Off-site downloads are permitted as long as the site does not require a fee or mandatory registration to access the content.

@Krylon,
Your work and Team Whiskey's is fully featured on XDA and free of charge to members. Donations are only prohibited when they are asked up front as per Rule #8
8. Donations.
We appreciate all donations to xda-developers.com, it keeps our forum online and well maintained. As a user you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work. However donations up front are not allowed, this forum is about sharing, not about getting paid to do something, that's what your job is for.

There is nothing wrong with having Donate links in your signatures. Asking for donations in lieu of a service, product, etc is no longer a donation as is called selling.
So, before you all jump in trying to defend him, make sure that you read the rules first. Plain and simple. I am not acting on a vendetta (hell, I don't even know him). He is selling his work on XDA and that is against the rules. No ifs, no buts.
If you are all so hellbent on not reading the rules, you have a moderator among your ranks. Ask him and he will tell you the same exact thing I just did.
Per forum rule 11:

As such, having threads open for the sole purpose of showcasing a theme requiring payment (I call this selling, but this could also be classified as requiring a donation up-front) is not acceptable.
Likewise with linking to these threads off-site, as that is advertising of your paid product.
Users are free to have a donation link in their signature or (recently added) button above the user profile. You are not allowed to require donations for access to work (selling), or offer to do work in exchange for donations (see end of rule 8 regarding up-front donations).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, on an unrelated note, posting invitations or offer of invitations, to sites engaging in the distribution of warez is not permitted on XDA, and re-adding the offer to a signature isn't acceptable behaviour. Rules 6 and 9 cover this.

Jeez...
First of, you were giving invites to D*******d, which is a warez site (one of the largest torrent trackers on the web). So, right there you broke Rule 6
6. Do not post warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, either pay or find your cracks and serials somewhere else. We do not accept warez nor do we permit any member to promote or describe ways in which Warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained.

You were told once to remove the links in your siggy and since you didn't comply, these were removed for you. A few days later, we found out that you had placed these links again, so you got banned for it.
The "mod" breaking the rules that you are describing here was reprimanded for it. In case you guys are wondering, this is for posting an eBay link in a MP thread, which is not allowed. The link was removed and a warning was issued to him.

You obtained approval from the creators to upload these without permission I assume? Or are they all under a 'open' license?
edit: and yea, it's just an unzipped ROM's dumped /system/app directory uploaded to mediafire.
edit2: looks like CM6 perhaps? I also see Facebook... Amazon MP3, etc
sorry guys. i had this in the dev section for a guy who needed them and they moved it

You posted this orginally in DEVELOPMENT !?!?! You may want to stop doing this posting others work with no credit crap. This is the third thread you posted of others work with no credit and lame excuses. Read the forum rules, you are clearly violating them. People really do get banned for this stuff. If you are tryin to send something to "a guy" you shouldn't say "for those of you who can use them" that implies a broader intent, and if it really was a favor to "a guy" then figure out how to use the PM feature. Please stop clogging the boards with stuff you didn't make, stuff that any member can get EASILY, stuff that an actual dev worked hard on. If you ever actually develop something feel free to post it, but leave other peoples stuff in their own threads. And please learn how to post in the CORRECT section.

From a Notes Freak: this App is Fantabulous!

Handy Note
Can create absolutely beautiful notes. As with anything valuable, theres a learning curve.Spend time with it.
It's new, I'm beta testing. Much more on the way...specially in terms of GTD.
MOD Edit: Link removed, we dont condone warez!
Hi, I suggest to remove that link, warez is not allowed in Xda.
Bye
The right link is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appbody.handyNote.google
Anybody tested with CM9/10?
This looks like a good S Note replacement for non-Touchwiz ROMs.
And yeah, OP, your link ain't nice man.
Not cool.

Not only do you link to warez but also a site distributing paid for apps for free. This is not what XDA is about, support the developers, purchase there apps.

Paid Theme

Any one knows how to download a paid theme like this?:
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=t...r=EMUI&thid=25524&model=mate8&version=EMUI4.0
Thanks for your help
I don't think you can unless you are in from China.
Asking for download of a Paid item for free is considered Warez and as such is against forum Rules.
