Does anybody has the problem when opening the "my device" application that it opens frequently the "my account" application instead?
I dont my have mytouch 4g yet. But i did use this on the vibrant and it did the same thing. if i am correct, the my device icon takes you to another part of the my account app. are the tabs at the bottom different if you click the my device icon compared to the my account icon?

They are the same:-( I think once I got the other tabs for the my device part. Not really a problem because I don't use the application very often anyway.

Hmm... interesting... are you sure you don't see the icon which is essentially "Talk" in a callout balloon?
Ok, then try this: Use Anycut or Better cut, try to create a shortcut for activity... search the list of activities... you should see "Google Talk - SingInActivity"

thanks for the help but nope is not appearing on that list, seems that the stupid provider uninstalled it before I got the phone or maybe it was affected by latitude idk
is there any way to install it or to find it on a folder?
so far there is only wifi calling in the US, but everywhere else 3g calling is also supported.
look for skype in the market!
Update: direct link from skype- www.skype.com/m
Yeah, great news!
Anyway...The back button doesn't work, and there's not a software quit button in the app. The only solution to close skype is press the home button and then kill the process in the process list...pretty annoying. Just sent an email to skype developers.
Think we can expect an update soon..but at least there´s progress
@pyngwie you can close by choosing "disconnecting " in the statut option
FCs on my N1
i havent been able to change my status to online. is that happening to anyone else?
I can't download it...

This is correct, but it's annoying because the menu button only works in the profile view - it should work no matter where you are in the app (especially the buddy list, since that's where you're most likely to be.
Also, be aware that by default, BOTH the 'Startup Automatically' and 'Sign-In Automatically' buttons are checked - you may want to uncheck the first to conserve battery.
So.......how long until we have a 'fixed' version of the apk that spoofs location for 3G calls in the U.S.?
I hate the sign in and sign out crap, why can't I just exit the app and then have it sign me in automatically when I start the app? The automatic sign in doesn't work like this, I tried. Once you sign out the box is no longer checked and you have to sign in again when you restart the app.

the Skype windows app is a pain like this, too. If you use any of the 'standard' exit methods (click the x, etc), it only minimizes it. You have to right-click the icon in the system tray and choose 'exit' or whatever there. *Really* annoying.
Here's APK: goo.gl/r77f

Skype desktop isn't quite as bad, you still get automatic sign in when you restart the desktop app.
so can we get someone working on this apk to enable calling over 3G/HSPA+ for the US?

The Skype app that is on the market is the same one that was pulled awhile back with a couple of minor changes.
The iPhone app is a 2.0 release so lets hope that Skype will update it's Android app to keep up with the iPhone version.
As it stands now .... Skype's Android app SUX!!!
here link to skype that been modified to work over 3g in usa. it was posted on droid forum. it worked fine on my n1 over 3g and wifi.

FC's for me, any special way of installing it?
I am new to the Android Market. I just got the Transformer but I have had an IPhone for years so maybe that is why I am confused.
Lets says if I do a Search for Facebook apps...tons of apps that don't even have facebook in the name or description come up. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?
Another question, then when I do one of the side options how come it only lets me see a few? I am sure there is way more then what it is showing me.
Thanks in advance.

No, you aren't doing it wrong. Dev's can "tag" their apps with search keywords. So, anything that interfaces with Facebook in some manner could have a facebook keyword - it would be up to the user to determine if the app fits the need. An app could be one like "Flow" which a user could interface directly with facebook with - or, it could be a plugin for another app/widget that allows the user to view posts or pictures from facebook.

Not sure what you mean by "side options" - which screen? the general screen, a particular application's preview/order screen?

Oh thanks makes sense now. I meant like if you click app store Entertainment you cant seem to browse all of them. Also is there a way to get rid of the scrolling apps on top?
I will be driving and on a major highway with businesses and sometimes nothing will load that requires the web. Like facebook just keeps saying "loading". Anyone know anything about this problem or anything?
By the way I have been reading these forums for a while but just now decided to join. I also have a Samsung Nexus S 4G,
By the way, can some one tell me how to put my phone type under my avatar and where to go to do my signature....Thanks
Should not be driving and facebooking.

Up top under quick links is where all those options will be.
Probably best not to Facebook and drive haha. I'll bet it has to do with switching from tower to tower though. Can't really say because you're on CDMA and I'm not familiar with that technology.

Thanks do you know exactly what I would click? I don't know which quick links your talking about. I am new to posting on this site. Thanks again.
In the menu bar up top, there's a link that says "quick links" with a dropdown symbol next to it. Click the dropdown and there is a section that says "User Control Panel" You can edit your signature from there.
This is a question and a minor annoyance,
whenever I access the "my apps" section it shows one column for the apps and update status and on the right it shows the open/uninstall option
and the permissions it has.
The problem is that it doesnt state whats new, description, rating etc. unlike a cellphone play market which redirects to the app view on market (like if I did a search for it).
It really bugs me that I cannot see whats new (I could live without the previews rating and comments, but they would be nice to see them too), it only shows the permissions it requires (and its not even like I can modify those so it is only half informative).
So far the only solution to this annoyance is going to my apps, watching which apps need an update and then from there do a search for the app to see what's new.
Is there a solution to this? either make it load fully on the right side or redirect me to the "market search" for the app like in cellphones?
Thank you in advance to all
I attach a screen of it so you know what I mean.

Yes this is how google have designed it. You click on the large icon at the top and it tells you what is new....
Try the app "Changelog Droid", you may like it.

The big icon? I would have never thought of clicking the little then the big one. Thank you! you have solved one of my biggest annoyances with play market on this wonderful tablet!
