htc S550 leather pouch - cant fit headphones - Desire HD Accessories

I bought this on amazon for a tenner and had it delivered yesterday. even though it was advertised as a pouch specifically for the DHD, it doesnt quite work. for size its fine, but at the bottom theres a strap of leather which covers up the headphone and micro-usb socket. so if you're planning on using the DHD regularly to listen to music, you've been warned!

Can't you put your phone in with the power button side going in first?

i bought this case as well, and i think it is fantastic, if you need to charge or listen to music, just put it in the other way!
the only warning is how excellent the quality is for a tenner!

yeah i can, but i'm pretty sure i'd read either on amazon or HTCs accessory site that you can access the power button and headphone sockets through the case. nothing about one or the other! besides its just easier to have it inserted the 'right way' round as you can pull the phone out just a bit and turn it on to check the time, notification bar, etc. and even upside down you still cant hit the power button from the bottom of the case.
you're right though, it is a workaround, i was just a little disappointed as all they needed to do was put two smaller leather strips at the bottom instead of one big one blocking the sockets.

from being on this forum and seeing how ridiculously picky the people are here, they would have then complained it wasnt holding the bottom of the phone strongly enough and it would fall out!

lol! i dont think i'm being that picky though, am i? its like buying a tshirt with no sleeves. sure you can get it on, but it kinda defeats the purpose!

its just, when i look around the forum, there seems to be some really silly things that have been made into mountains from molehills:
slight gaps above screen that you can barely see
slight gaps with the sim cover
people being too rough and breaking their sim cover
people want more led colours
etc etc

to be fair that sim card cover is flimsy cheap crap, and i dont want a flimsy cheap piece of crap attached to my £500 phone. if i wanted that i would have got a galaxy s.
but back on topic, why do you need access to the power buttom when its in the case anyway? and why can you not reach around the strap to touch the power button?

By the way one question
This pouch has a sleeve that is used to take out the DHD from the pouch it self.
When you put or take the pouch from your pants pocket, does the sleeve comes out accidentally ?

this "sleeve" you refer to is just a piece of ribbon attached to the pouch which the phone rides on when you putt the ribbon and takes the phone out the case. No, it doesnt get pulled accidently when you take it our of your pocket

nope. however if you want to be really really critical i would say the ribbon is around 1/4 inch too long and dangles loose when the phone is fully inserted. its one of those tiny things i notice but by no means a deal breaker.

the strap at the bottom is too big and you cant see the power button at all, but thats not really going to help me. what i meant to say was, when i want to check the time for example, i dont want to pull the phone completely out of the case. so instead i can pull the ribbon, press the powerbutton, and check the time (along with checking for messages, missed calls, etc). but theres no way of doing that without taking the phone out completely if it is inserted upside down.
now, after writing all that i can see myself how ridiculously fussy i'm being! i do like the case, it does the job just fine and i dont feel the need to return it. (although i might try and drill a hole through the leather strap to slot in my headphones )

Any decent cobbler's / leatherworker's will have a drive punch which will make a much better job of modding your case. Offer them a couple of $localcurrency for the trouble, I'm sure you'll be happy with the result

How good is the Sleeve case included in Nexus one package?

Hi,
Can someone post some high resolution photos from Nexus one sleeve included in the package?
How good is the sleeve and whether it protects the phone in case it hit the desk or when it is in our jeans pocket?
Thanks
I dropped mine on a hard floor from about 4 feet. The sleeve saved it but it still sounded scary. I'm still waiting for my silicone case to arrive.
The sleeve is nothing special. It's neoprene, perhaps 5mm.

I can say that it works very well as far as protecting your phone. I have a N1, but my cousin was trying to see if her Sprint Hero could fit in the sleeve and just when she put it in the sleeve, it fell on the floor. We slid it back out of the sleeve and apart from the battery door popping off, and we snapped it back on, all was well.
I have been using it and it seems to work well enough. It is slim and has the cute android on one side. I'm going to put the Zagg body protector when it comes out in conjunction with the sleeve.
Thank you all for the replay. I think I will stay with Clear-coat screen protector and the sleeve. but can anyone please post a photo of the sleeve ?
specially when the cell phone is inside the sleeve. I want to know whether the sleeve fully covers the phone or the phone is taller than the sleeve.
Thanks
It's actually a pretty good quality case. I would compare it to the one which came with the G1, just different material.
Here is a pic I took with the N1 camera

It's like the Body Glove mobile phone cases... Nice and compact..
I took a quick video clip of around the case and a frame grab here showing the depth of the phone in the case

The same thing happened to me. i dropped mine but it wasnt 4 feet and the phone came out alright. like you said it was scary.
The case is nice, it is slim and cushy. That said I don't think it will protect it from serious falls. If you are careful its nice, it slips in and out easily and doesn't add much width of it at all.
I will be looking into other things as well...that you don't need to remove in order to use the phone but we will see. I hate adding width to the phone at all
The sleeve is just OK for now, until better protective cases hit the market!
Thanks everyone for sharing the pictures and your thought.

I think the sleeve does it's job, however I cannot hear my phone calls very well when it's in the sleeve, and if your trying to answer a call when you do actually hear it you have to hustle to remove it from your pocket and try to get it out of the sleeve to answer the call. It's tricky. I cannot wait for the 2 docking stations that are coming out at the end of the month. One for the desktop and one for the car. Both will use the little gold contacts on the bottom of the phone. So you do not have to use a docking station with a damn micro usb sticking out of the docking station, you will be able to just set your phone onto these stations, and it will charge without connecting anything.

Eh, who said anything about them coming out at the end of the month? They haven't been announced at all, much less given release dates. We only know about them because they passed through the FCC.
From my past experiences ...
... Just wanted to share this: I have had several similar sleeves that came with phones I have had in the past and here are common problems I have found with them:
(1) Most of them use glue in addition to stitching in their construction. After months of use (and possibly from body heat if commonly stored in pocket), the glue starts to marr the phone
(2) Most of them have nice soft OUTER finishes but not so on the inside. This is true for the N1 sleeve too. Feel the roughness of the edges and sides on the inside ... not sure anyone would really want their phone sliding up and down on that especially if the sleeve is snug.
(3) Most of them tend to double as screen cleaners if used a certain way (either on the inside or using the outside), but end up leaving surface scratches in the long run.
(4) Even the best of screen protectors tend to affect the screen resolution and/or viewing angle even if just slightly.
Granted that these experiences ranged over several manufacturers (Sony Ericcson P series, HTC, etc) and several skins/screen protectors, but I have now built up my knee-jerk reaction of a shudder everytime I think of a sleeve or a screen protector .... of course, thats just me
Just my two cents ....
On a side note, I am in search for a vertical flip style ("book style") for my N1.
I guess my logic is this: protect when not in use, but let me have the best resolution when IN use ... in case anyone knows of a good one, please let me know?
Thanks!

Clingo Car Holder

I just bought this new car holder two weeks ago and I have to say it's awesome! I've had two car holders before this, one giant universal one that was ugly and broke really quick, and a SGS specific one bought off Ebay that scratched the backplate and was no good.
I saw this at a local store last week and decided to give it a try, it's a universal mount that holds using an adhesive pad, but the pad leaves no residue or stickyness on the phone it just holds the phone, and then when you pull it off it comes off. My phone has never fallen off and one time just for fun I tossed the phone at it lightly and it stuck, thats how sticky this thing is.
The best part is once it starts to lose its stickiness due to dust, skin etc you just rinse it out and start over again.

I would like some more reviews for this it looks very interesting will it also hold with an invisibleshield attached to the back or is it slippy then? I don't want my phone to fall off while driving it could cause a lot of damage to my phone

I'd like to know how sticky the sticky bit is as the roads over here are atrocious, I don't really want to have to fish the phone out from under the pedals while doing 100kmh
I like the idea of these but i don't think i'd ever trust it to hold the phone properly
I have seen a video of someone going over speed bumps and the phone stayed attached but i'd rather go for something that i know would be sturdy due to the holder. Just my opinion.
Got mine the other day.
Where I'm living at the moment there is road crew everywhere screwing with the roads. Potholes raised bits in the road. Suffice to say the roads are f'ing terrible.
And this thing will not let go if it at all. After driving around for about half an hour it was actually quite difficult to get my phone off the holder.
Driving around there is very little vibration in the phone, all the joints in the holder are very firm without being a ***** to use.
Overall im very impressed
As an extra test, I just went on a 600km road trip on Monday and it held my phone the entire time, I love this thing
For those who don't believe in Clingo I must say that it takes me two hands to take my SGS off of it. It is STICKY.
When you remove the phone off the holder does it make the back of the phone all weird and sticky?
And will it stick to a phone case? the case has a smooth and a bit of rubbery feel to it
I bought one of these also and found it to be very good.
You just have to watch out for the bump on the bottom of the SGS in positioning the phone during sticking.
I had one of these for a while but have now switched to a holder that my SGS just slots into.
It doesn't leave any residue on the back of the phone. It doesn't work too well with leather cases as it likes a nice smooth surface for maximum attachment and a word of warning, it can lose some of its 'strength' if the sun is baking your car all day. Even in England where we just get ****e weather, last summer mine dropped off a couple of times whilst driving which is why I ditched it.
And one final tip, get a retractable car charger because you can then 'set the slack' in the cable so that it does not pull on the phone. Curly cords can cause the phone to work itself loose as they always try and retract into their original shape. Plus retractable chargers are neater too.
I use the i9000 specific one from Ebay (dealextreme actually). I've hacked it a bit:
- shortened the bit that goes over the phone so it will push less hard
- removed some sharp edges that could scratch the phone
- removed the bendy bit and glued the phone holder and suction parts together at a near-right angle
and most important of all:
- stuck a PU anti slip mat under the suction cup and cut to size (a tad larger than the original suction cup). Now the suction cup also sticks to the dashboard
Those PU mats are like the Clingo backside I suppose. But a lot less expensive. The grip is very good (too good?) as I wanted to remove it from the phone and I was afraid to pull off the back cover. I'm happy I only stick it to the dash

I dont have a case on my phone so I can't comment on that part.
But it does not leave any sort of residue at all. comes of perfectly clean.
Quick update (hope this doesn't count as necro posting) The holder got dusty, started losing its grip, I rinsed it off and the next morning when it was dry it was as sticky as it was when I first started using the holder. Much more time down the road and this is still a great holder.
I'm interessed in it also, but...
The hole of speaker sound, is not covered by clingo??
Because when i'm using satnav/GPS apps i need to listen, but if clingo is above the hole the sound doesn't come out...
Can someone say something about this, please...

All you would need to do is place it on the holder so that it isn't covering the speaker hole when you stick the phone to the clingo holder. You can stick it anywhere you want on the phone so it's only a matter of placement
Only caveat is that smooth/velvety materials don't stick well. My HTC EVO stock battery case doesn't stick for long, and the Seidio active innocase is too smooth to stick. Works great on a stock iPhone and my HTC Universal. Holds that one hard enough to pull the battery cover off!
My concern is will it rip off my invisible shield when I try to take it off the mount. I can see the adhesive pulling the film right off the back of my phone.
I've got this for my Samsung Galaxy S II, and it will almost *always* remove the battery cover due to its grip when trying to take the phone off. Good and bad

Cases / Shells - what're you getting / reviews:

Ultimately I settled on the trident case, pictures in this post. Thanks to gtny930 for finding it for us.
There are some other good case recommendations scattered through the thread, as I get the time I will source them up here for easier reference.
--------
Hey all, i've been searching amazon off and on for cases for our wonderful device, and finally pulled the trigger on one:
Link here
Says it's by HTC, and I ordered from BlueMall, at $0.32 I couldn't not get it...
Rubberized case, two pieces to fit the slide function, looks like a winner.
I doubt it'll be as good as an otterbox as far as protection, but a buddy of mine has an otterbox for his Inspire 4G - and suffers from serious overheating problems. Since our phone already suffers from that with the stock battery i'm gonna pass otterbox by on this phone. (Anker 1900 battery solved overheating problems for me)
Anyways, at less then $3.50 shipped, seemed like a fantastic deal.
Meantime, I have a screen protector and bodyglove on it now, which seems to be a good temporary fix until some proper protection was available. Love the glove, but to me it's only a temporary solution.
What're the rest of you doing for a case or protection for your phone? I'd love to hear about it.
ArmorSuit and HTC Messenger
I got this:

I posted "customer pics" of what is looks like on my phone too at Amazon.
I'm coming from the G1 and was used to the G1 sleeve so I also bought this:

It's a nice fit and doesn't stick out the top.
As a side note.. I also bought the case you posted. I like it but it won't fit over the ArmorSuit and I really like how the suit looks and feels on the MT4GS. The phone with suit fits well in the pouch...good combo in my opinion.
Found this on Ebay. Still waiting for it (and MT4GS) to come. =[
I'm not allowed to post links yet so just put a dot in between.

MT4GS Cases / Shells
The rubberized hard Body Glove shells offered by T-Mobile (and sold on Amazon, eBay, etc...) are bulky and are missing holes for the microphone above the camera lens. I ended up buying the full body Invisible Shield and it looks great. The only problem is that they didn't include a piece for the bottom front of the phone (under the buttons and around the touchpad). I can put a hard case over the shield if I want, for extra protection or to just change up the look.
I have the solid black case. Just some things to note. First, the back piece is very tight, and I don't think it will ever fall off. However, when removing and replacing the cover, the clips can easily scratch your phone. Second, one or two clips may not actually "clip" to the phone, but rather just get stuck near the top so it still holds from pressure. This really isn't noticeable, but it leaves indents from the pressure on the phone's case. In addition, the clips scrape up against the backside of the screen when sliding up the phone, and over time, start leaving a very noticeable mark. I corrected this with a just a strip of tape over where it was scraping.
The protector for the sliding part of the phone was a bit of an issue. It clips very tightly to the phone, but the clips scrape a lot against the edges of the phone next to the keyboard. In addition to making it a little more difficult to slide the phone, it leads to wear overtime (noticeable wear actually started in less than a few hours of normal use for me). I corrected this by actually cutting off the clips, and using double sided adhesive to stick that part of the case on. It doesn't scrape anymore, but at the same time, it just doesn't look good as the case doesn't properly hold together.
I don't really see how much of this can be fully fixed. I used to own a G1, and I didn't notice the issue of cases scratching the phone until it was too late, but I was able to notice it on my MyTouch. I'm hesitant to go for the BodyGuardz. I had one on my G1, and though it was nearly invisible protection, and protected 95% of the phone, I ended up dropping my phone and it landed on a sharp rock on part of the 5% that happened to not be covered (which ironically actually are the corners of the phone, where it is very likely to land on).
I'm actually a fan of the body glove case. I'm just waiting for something with more clearance because of the anker battery. I've heard goods things about the otterbox, but it is kinda bulky.

I was going to edit in my response about the case I got in the first post - but after this one I quoted I need say not much more.
I really want to like the case, it feels nice and looks good on the phone...but it makes it too much of a pain in the ... to get the back of the case off.
I didn't realize how often I pop the back of the phone open to swap out memory cards until I put the case on.
It lasted on my phone for about 3 hours before I took it off...and it scratched one corner of my phone when I did it. Scratch isn't bad, and it'll probably buff out over time, but it's the first damage the phone has suffered - ironically from the thing that was supposed to prevent this.
If you are never going to pop open the back of the phone to get to the memory card, and you don't mind the backside of your screen-half of the phone getting scratched up when you slide it open - then this is a pretty decent case.
I think the scratching the back of the screen part can be solved by using a knife to cut a sliver off the part that sticks op, then maybe using a small piece of electrical tape to cover that clip.
I like it, I want to like it, but I can't use it - I take the phone apart too damn much for a case like this to be practical.
I'm on the lookout for a gel-type case now. Think that'll be the perfect solution. If anyone finds one, please mention it here.
I got the black cheap case today. After reading the reviews I knew better than to just throw it on there. So I took a small metal file that I have, and proceeded to shave each clip down just a little. After a few trials I got the clips shaved down enough that they all fit and are not pressing against the bottom of the screen hard enough to scratch it.
The coating on this case was not really rubber. Its more of a dusted flat black. It's not slick to the touch, but it doesnt grip like the rubber of the phone.
The phone still fits into the generic style T-mobile mount. But its not as secure as without. I can turn it upside down and give it a light shake without coming loose. So hopefully it will be fine.
I got my psychedelic cover and I'm not very impressed with it. It makes the phone very bulky and awkward to hold (maybe because of my small girly hands -_-).
I find taking the back cover off particularly stressful because I'm scared I'd rip the screen off the keyboard.
Protection wise I haven't dropped my phone yet to see what kind it would provide but I'm guessing it wouldn't fall off the phone if dropped.
Haven't seen any dents or scratches caused by it.
I think I'd prefer it if it had a more rubbery feel as the texture is kind of smooth and slippery.
Overall, I'm satisfied with it but I wish I could figure out a way to take off the cover without the fear of destroying it. Haha.
Lily.

Quick question - in the pictures you uploaded to Amazon the phone back and sides seem to have a checker pattern. Is that pattern due to the protector?
The otterbox exists for this phone? Or you speaking generally about the otterbox product line?

Yes, it's a woven "carbon fiber" pattern. I took the pictures at angles where the light shows it more clearly. I think it looks nice and provides a "non-slip" surface as well without adding any bulk to the phone when you want to use it, which I personally prefer.

http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Messenger-Pouch-HD2/dp/B003DZ13OG/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1314661896&sr=1-1
It's a nice fit and doesn't stick out the top.
As a side note.. I also bought the case you posted. I like it but it won't fit over the ArmorSuit and I really like how the suit looks and feels on the MT4GS. The phone with suit fits well in the pouch...good combo in my opinion.

Thanks for linking this and posting the pics on Amazon., I'm going to order one today.
Thanks. I ordered one and installed it yesterday. The front and back went on great. I had more trouble with the sides but that is because I am not the most deft person around. There are a lot long thin pieces but MT4GS has a lot of moving parts. The phone looks great from the front. But the back has a bubble or two - again my clumsiness.
I wonder how long Otterbox will ignore this phone? Annoying....
Meanwhile, this HTC shell is gettin it done. Only complaint is that its not Otterbox.

That's about the same thing I got that I posted about before - just mine is in black.
I know I said a few posts back that I wasn't going to use it, but I had to do something to try to keep it safe.
I've been using it for a few days now, and while I have my gripes, I suppose it's okay.
I got tired of not being able to put it down anywhere, for fear of scratching the camera lens. This case sits further down then the lens, so it isn't the thing the weight of the phone rests on.
Before, i'd have to find something soft to put it down on everywhere I went, which was annoying. I wouldn't put it in my pocket, because they are always full of dust and whatnot - that little grainy stuff gets into the phone and I didn't want that.
Now, with the case on, it doesn't fit in my belt holster anymore - so I have to put it in my pocket or carry it. Desperately seeking another solution but coming up short.
What i'm thinking about doing is drilling some holes in the back of the case, and attaching a belt clip to the hard case shell itself.
So now i'm looking for either a belt holster or a clip I can attach to the hard case itself. Whatever ends up happening, i'll get some pictures and put 'em up here.
What I really, really, really, really want is a soft-rubber case, like a gel case of some sort that can absorb shock - not some hard plastic thing.

Can you 2 that got this case tell me if it fits OK? I hate cases that feel like they are going to fall off after they are on...does this one do that? Specifically when you slide the keyboard up with your thumbs does the front part of the case feel like it would fall off because of your thumb pressure?
Just wanted to be sure it was somewhat well constructed...the $5 price tag just has me concerned.

No, it's fine. I've dropped the phone twice and the case hasn't come off. And it certainly isn't about to come off from handling/usage of the phone. It fits snug. Supposedly its made by HTC, if that means anything. The case does it's job without problems.
Just waitin for Otter.....
Any body have a silicone case? Or one of these?

Looks good. Other colors available too.

It fits snug, coming off accidentally isn't a problem. Both the top piece and the bottom piece are secure, normal - or even some exaggerated abnormal - use won't knock it off.
The longer I use the case the more it grows on me, I really like the silky feel of it. There have been a few situations already where having a case protected the phone - I haven't dropped it and hope I never do, but since it's becoming a portable video game system/controller amongst other things it can't be without one.
I suppose you could do far worse then this case, but i'd trade it for a gel-type rubber case in a heartbeat. Hard cases don't protect from shock damage.

Car mount?

I have the Nexus 4 with the bumper case and It wont fit my current phone mount from my LG G2X. I need a mount that can do around 5 incs of phone.
maybe a samsung note will do???

? I need something that will hold the phone where I can see it for GPS and music selection while I'm driving.
A lot of people think I'm crazy for sticking something on my phone but I seriously LOVE this thing I bought ( http://www.steelie.com/)
So you pretty much put tiny dongle on the back of your phone, which sticks due to a strong adhesive and that dongle has a magnet that attaches to a ball you can stick on your car too.
I've had for awhile on my SGSII and when I removed it, it came off with no sticky residue or anything! Once I get a back screen protector for my nexus 4 I'm sticking it on there as well.
Here's a picture of my car with the car ball. http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8111732688/in/pool-steelie
and here's another http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/8111732114/in/pool-steelie/
It's awesome because I literally walk in my car, scan the NFC sticker and stick it on the ball. SNAP on. It's adjustable since its a ball you can move it around.
The only downside was the price. It's a bit expensive but seriously, I cannot have chosen a better product.
I feel like I'm an advert for them but seriously. It's awesome. Watch their youtube video! They started from kickstarter too (random tidbit)
Two downsides .. price and this thing on the back of your phone.

I like it on the back of my phone lol doesn't add bulk at all IMO.
Not to mention it makes me want to check everything in my household if they are metal so I can stick it on it

Have you thought about attaching that magnet to the back of a case and placing the nfc tag inside where the back of the phone would be?
It would be a good way to keep the back of the phone clean and still have a way to attach it to your car.
Steelie looks really cool, but it's quite pricey for what it is. I'd mount the phone ring on a case rather than right on the back.

That's how I had it on my SGSII, attached it to a TPU case. It worked pretty good too but the back is so nice on the nexus4 that I didn't want to cover it entirely so I was gunning for a bumper+backscreen protector.
Either way the phone attachment comes off readily with no residue issue when it comes to it

Works like a champ.
I pray someone creates an inductive charging car stand/holder for us.
if there's anyone else looking to buy the steelie, the shipping is only $5 on amazon.

Two that I found. I'll be purchasing one of them and trying it out soon. Says its fits the Optimus G which is essentially what this phone is.

Yes, this exactly. I want an inductive charging mount.
The steelie looks interesting, but would probably render the induction charging useless. I wonder if the large magnet on the back would fight with the induction current from the charger base?

It is. I just sold my SGSII and phone socket is sitting on my desk until I apply it on my Nexus 4. They give you lifetime replacements for the sticky part that goes on the back of the phone socket, so I had them send me a new one for free.
All I need is my back screen protector and my bumper until I apply it back on
I'm using an Arkon MG114. It was cheap and does the trick. I miss my GSII t989 car dock. I don't have the bumper on my phone yet, though I think it would work.

I personally prefer the slimmer TPU cases....
I went with the T-Mobile D3O case when I first got my Blaze over a year ago and since then I have dropped it a number of times, from shoulder height, onto tile and concrete floors, and there isn't so much as a scratch on my phone.
At first I was skeptical of the D3O material, but it really does its job. The case is as thin as a cheap TPU case, but much tougher and way more protective. It also covers the SD card slot, which was a must for me. I didn't want to take a chance with a card coming loose in my pocket or when I dropped it. It also does a very nice job protecting the buttons and making it harder to inadvertently press them without being too hard to press. And unlike some of the cases I've seen from other companies there is no ugly branding of the case manufacturer anywhere on the outside, only on the inner edge where the phone sits.
If you're looking for a low-profile and well designed case that does a nice job protecting your phone without looking tacky, I highly recommend you check it out.

I'm a fan of the d30 too, it does work, imo. I have 2 extra ones, one new in box and a used one. Not sure what I'm going to do with them, I just ordered a new one and they sent me two by mistake, lol.

I own a blue/black version of this case (without the clip) this has definitely saved my phone, I've had the same case on for about a year now and it still looks new. It does add a bit of bulk, but hey, what can you do?
If you were considering getting this I say YES! but don't pay $20 for it. Try this
They have plenty of colors and way cheaper than DayDeal

Are we talking about the same case:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007NCJ13A/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just bought one of these and I'm finding it way too stiff and rigid. It's hard to press the buttons, the power button although stiff is not a huge issue but the volume ones are. Trying to turn the volume down results in the volume going all the way down to silent because the case is so tight and stiff it keep on depressing the button even when I let up. Trying to turn it up is hard to as there is a sweet spot that i have to hit just right and that's only if when I try to turn it up it does not push on the down side to. Does this case ever loosen up? Very frustrating !! I like putting my phone in my pocket so I'm trying to find one that does not have a clip or kick stand or one that can be removed.

Give it some time, mine was like that too but I really have no complaints since it always saved my phone when I've dropped it, and I've had some nasty drops happen to my phone... It's a top quality case, it's the only case I have for this phone and I've had the blaze since May 2012
