What is "fastboot" under application settings?
Your phone boots up faster, literally.

How could it be anything but?
What is the disadvantage?

Fastboot is like putting your phone in hibernation mode. Thatz why it wakes it up quickly. If itz not on and you turn your phone on, it will turn on from a reboot so to speak so itz not as quickly. But itz still pretty damn quick

I havent noticed any battery difference. Seems less for me than a continuous call. After a few seconds silence the connection stops until someone pushes the talk button.

No issues at all here. Less battery drain than phone calls themselves...

This is weird, me and a few of my family members use this app. It is great for me because I hate sustaining a conversation, so a few exchanged words and its back to whatever I was doing. I didn't notice any battery drain out of the ordinary.

Yeah i apologize i think it was probably my rom i had at the time.
battery kills me too. not during use, but when it is constantly pinging the server (even with use on WiFI only setting)
I will try reinstalling to see if I can fix it, but I wish it didn't have to CONTINOUSLY run in the background
okay i got it up an runnin, error on the roms side..fixed the rom now im TIKL away..it does seem to drain battery life..i have been using this rom for 4 days now with incredible battery life (22-30hrs). with TiKl up its down to 7-hrs...thas no good, but it has to stay on to get calls...so if you want to use it, then use it...if not then dont...no way to fix..if you kill the process/task then you will not recieve the calls
I rooted my phone and am using the Leedroid rom. I tried to shut it down and can't seem to get it to stay off. It shuts off and then about 5 seconds later the CW Recovery screen pops up. Any ideas?
Thanks
Tommy

I'll bet it's plugged in isn't it? It's a cwm bug or something. Unplug it and it will shut off.

I agree. Just sharing what I know of the issue.
Yeah but that's the whole idea. I want to shut it down and charge it. It shatges quicker that way. I did unplug it and it worked likeyou said. Defeats the purpose though. Haha

I don't think there is a solution, I'm pretty sure this is just a problem with the recovery. I'm not sure if koush could fix it or not. It might just be one of those things where if you want clockwork recovery, you gotta live with the bug. I'll take clockwork.

Haha true but any other recovery that would allow for this? Not a huge deal just curious
Nope, for the inspire just clockwork
I've heard turning fastboot off works. Haven't tried it myself yet though.

I have the same issue... Phone will boot right back up after I shut it off and its not even plugged in... Does yours do it too or is it just me? Fast boot is off too.

Mine only does it when the phone it plugged in. It stays off when it isn't
I also have this problem. I usually turn off my phone before bed time.
Rooted a few days ago, and this issue sucks. Will clockwork ever get fixed to solve this problem?
I'm not sure if it's due to new cwm or new bootloaders. I know my usb cable is jacked up, looks like the far right pin. Because of that the charge function is jacked because when the phone is in sleep mode it does not say it is charging, but the battery indicator shows that it is. However if the phone is completely off it does not go to the battery charging screen, but boots into recovery. Don't know if this has been noticed before. It would be nicer if it went into download, but I thought it was cool, and maybe slightly helpful.

Haha nice!
Umm jacking up more pins to just letting it hit the pin 4 and 5 could "maybe" get it in download? Just an idea lol
do yourself (and us) a favor and DO NOT attempt to flash with that cable....
go get a new one...

Okay so I got my Nexus S in December of 2011. It's worked just perfect, it's a real peach but yesterday I was trying to use it normally and it froze. Then it shut off. So I left it a few minutes and turned it on again. It starts up with the black screen with white letters that say "Google" and it never loads more so I wait with it for s few, then pull the battery and try again many, many times. Same result.
I really hope someone knows how to fix this without wiping the phone. Please Help!

Weird charging notice appeared on my lock screen after JVKPE. The weird thing with that notice, I'm not charging the phone and I don't plugged it to the USB as you can see in the attachment.
It appeared when my battery level went under 20.
Any idea?
Maybe it means its time to charge? I'm not sure
Cheers

It may. So you say, she's dreaming of a hot, juicy charge. I don't think that's the way It should be. Because of samsung I'm getting much older than I should be. Sigh...
I'm not really sure, never came across this
Cheers

This should solve your problem
remove go locker and restart your phone.. download the latest version of go locker from google play and install it.. and if you still face the problem try using factory default settings
