flashable smoothsense+translucent notification tray+dropdown mod. Requests now open. - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

HERE IS THE MUCH AWAITED MUCH WORKED ON AND MUCH FAILED (BUT NOW WORKING) FLASHABLE MADE BY ME. this is only my third flashable, but works perfectly. the problem was (for those of you paying attention) is that my update script was not compatible with the lengthy smoothsense mod.
credit for smoothsense goes to faster3200
credit for the translucent tray goes to xeudoxus & fxn
credit for the dropdown mod (i think) goes to manup or virus, not sure who
credit for screenies and testing goes to _metalhead_
i take only the credit for composing the flashable
i hope you all enjoy this great flashable. looks really nice. looks even better with ava's customized espresso rosie that was a part of his v7 rom. as far as i know, the file is nowhere to be found (except here), so i will post here for all of you to enjoy. credit goes to ava. upload not working so link: http://db.tt/MxWNgDc
enjoy, flashers of the evo world.
and also, if you already have themes installed, send me your framework-res.apk and services.jar and i will do the best i can.
Because this seems out of date for the new OTA somehow, I am trying to create a new version. This takes some time, and is not number one on my priority list. (what is number one is a 3 command root kit for the new ota so people will stop asking for an easy way to root). the new version will also include the power controls in the notification tray by jschisurf. i will start once he releases the 4g toggle publicly.
Until then, i am taking requests to port and/or combine this mod. Send me your framework-res.apk and services.jar. Both are located in the system framework folder. I will do the best i can.

Nice work dude! And it's manup456 who you want to credit for the translucency.

i think i am right on the translucency, and there is some contradiction over who did the dropdown bar. if somebody knows for sure, please post.

Can you create a zip with just smoothsense to be use with Metamorph?

Same here. Using Fresh 3.3.0.1.

Thank you very much appreciated. All I needed was the smooth sense. Thanks again.

Awesome mod! I just flashed the white battery icon w/% ...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819568 and it wiped out your mod, settting it back to the white tray. I prefer your mod better so I flashed back..is there any way you can combine the two? I tried flashing the battery mod over yours and it reset it. I also tried flashing the battery mod and then yours and it reset the battery to the stock one I had before. Is it even possible to combine the two?

my zip contains stock battery with percent. if you send me your framework-res.apk (with the other person's battery theme on it) and your services.jar, i will happily make you a combination. you can find both of these in your /system/framework folder. pm both of these to me (or email, [email protected]) and i will combine my theme minus battery percent with your theme that already has the battery percent that you want.

How's the new version coming?

Wondering if you can make the smooth version with regular sprint slider on bottom instead of the android and notifications word on the bottom. I really just want a translucent tray with the battery percent mod in it. I would gladly donate for it. Please think about it.

My next version will be a metamorph, so no more worrying about different frameworks! I am waiting on the 4g power toggle by jschisurf to start a new version. Dukins send me your framework-res.apk and services.jar in system framework folder. I will make you a custom version immediately. My email is [email protected]. Thanks for your continued intrest.

[THEME] [MOD] [4/18] SuperCircleBatteryMod-CM7 STABLE (older circles still available)

One of the problems with flashing these batteries is that when you apply a theme via the Theme Chooser app, it replaces the battery at the levels contained in the theme causing your battery indicator to appear to have multiple personality disorder. I have edited the 2 stock themes, Androidian and Cyanbread, so that you can apply either yet still retain my battery mod. The theme will still apply like normal, it just won't touch the battery. I've made 3 separate downloads so you can choose to replace either of the built in themes or both.

SmoothC is a gradient style of the original C. SmoothGreenGradient is the same as SmoothC execept that it starts at green instead of blue for the progression and does NOT contain any blue. SmoothF is not a matte finish like the original F, but it does follow the same color progression. It IS NOT a gradient style so color change is abrupt. 100-50% is green, 30-49% yellow, 15-29% orange, 14 and below is red. All have my most detailed charging animation I've ever made, which is *very* smooth. I made these 100% from scratch (no templates) and I know they are the smoothest circles you will find (in this resolution anyway).
As always, have a recent nandroid and flash in recovery:

GENERAL INFO
-These are flash update only.
-If your rom has a toggle for battery percentage, turn it OFF. The images have percentages built in and there's a separate image for each percent.
-Always have a recent nandroid backup available should you have an issue. That goes for anything, not just my mods
If you like the work, or I've been able to help you with other stuff, don't forget the thanks button at the bottom, or there's that other thanks button on the left under my name
Thanks again everybody for the kind words, and extra thanks to those who've tossed me a drink [/INDENT]
THE FILES BELOW ARE STILL CURRENT FOR ENOMTHER'S LAST RELEASE Enomther's TheOfficial--all of the versions are themed for manup by default except as noted
**NEW CHARGING ANIMATION**--
This was a pretty big project. I've almost doubled the amount of animation frames, the charge motion is incredibly smooth now. Also, I've rewritten the animation instructions to show an image with the % on it as part of the animation. It will change for every 2% you battery gains in charge. Check it out!

Cool, thanks. I've not tried anything from CM since I first rooted and that was RC1. I just totally love the enom build and haven't wanted to leave it.
A little later, I will flash CM and see what I can find out.
I previously flashed a super circle. Mod from enoms site and it came with these cool status bar icons similar to the one on the desire forum version A. If I flash your version C will it get rid of these icons.... thanks. Great job pendo........

Yes, it will get rid of them. Whenever you flash one of these mods, it will completely replace your current status bar. The only way I know of that would keep what you have is a morph, but that doesn't seem to be compatible yet. I think it could be possible, though if metamorph were changed to recognize the resources and new id's in my framework-res.
So short story is, if you have your bar just the way you want, you'll have to send me your framework-res and I can rebuild it with which ever version you want. Then I can make sure all custom icons that you want get in there.
The Manup version above has every themed icon included with the prethemed rom.....so to the end user, it looks like the only thing I changed is the battery, but in reality it's a whole new framework-res..
Can this be flashed onto the stock N1 rom?
thanks a lot pendo...for now I'll just stick with the super circle mod I have even though I love yours....

OK...sorry guys. I'm still learning stuff and mess up. I tested it by adb push on my phone before I posted...I must've kept the same signature from the manup version. You can either adb push the framework-res file or wait until I can get a new zip. Right now I've just wiped and went back to FRF-91 stock to trouble shoot that version.

Yup, what Akellar said.
FYI - all of our CWM recoveries have ended up with red text, there have been 3 versions total (2.5, 2.5.x, now 3.0) any of which work with edify scripts. JT and other individuals have had to take the one released by koush and hack in edits to work with our phones, because the official versions are "broken" in that aspect - so only the ones posted here will work.
What does not work is trying to use CWM 3.0 to flash some of our theme/rom .zips (the ones that didn't already have edify scripts in them) that's where the incompatibility comes into play.
The text is black on a dark blue background making it hard to read. I read somewhere on the forums how to invert that. I 'll have to look that up. Just thought I'd let you know if you want to tweak the rom.

The clock issue is a known issue with the ROM - it defaults to the same color as the status bar so if you don't set it to a different color - or use a different status bar - you won't see it. Setting the clock color requires a reboot after btw.

I was able to fix the mms dark text on dark background issue.
I 7zipped the mms.apk out of the H57 Andromedena Tek and 7zip it back into H57 SoC.
Looks pretty cool! I had to go through and test a few once I proved it would work to find one I liked.
Are we having fun or what? I'm close to digging into bdemartino's guide on porting
themes, to figure out this stuff for myself.
______________________
I dived into the porting guide and figured out the basics. I decompiled the latest SoC from tator and bdemartino's 2.1 version. I picked the colored pngs I wanted out of the original and replaced the monochrome ones.
I found a better colored mms.apk from the crysis pack but didn't care much for the mms icon, to dark, and 7zipped a different one back into the res folder of the mms.apk.
Everything is about where I want it accept for the gps navigation icon is always there in the notification bar even if gps is turn off. I'm going to look at the png names again and see if i missed a blank gps png or something. Any ideas would be appreciated.
***I just 7zipped the 3 pngs from the original back into the drawable-hdpi-v4 folder. Not sure why this fixed it they are smaller tho.***
Thanks so much to the original creators, rel500 & Crysis21 and these guys who did the ports thefunkbot, phillup & BakedTator. If you're only including only the framework-res.apk twframework-res.apk and the apps that you have theme'd, then just call it a theme
(You shouldn't need any other files anyway, so no need to package this as a ROM since it's all already included in H57)
Good to see another sharing the wealth!

Nicely put together theme.
Look forward to your new creation!
If you are looking for input I'd recommend smaller Wifi, gps...etc icons. Also possibly changing the "unlock" icon to an open lock instead...that's just uuuber nitpicky, though.
Also, is it possible to theme the signal indicator? A blue to match the rest would be awesome (I kinda wanna learn how to do it, too).

Updated...give me some feedback on this if you try it...
thanks, if you would like anything changed just inform me...
I am willing to incorporate all reasonable ideas...
DLing now.
Assuming the one in the OP is flashable...?
Great work getting it out so fast, and thanks for integrating my suggestion!
I'll post back once it's done (not in Wifi atm...).
Edit: Looks pretty good! I might pull the unlock and make it green...but that looks great. What a wicked signal strength meter! Now if only I could tell how many bars it means! Lol.
Weird!! My contacts, call log and favorites all have different default icons...

Greetings Everyone,
While I still try to get the power widgets to work on the new GB setup, I figured I would port this over to give those sense 1.0 lovers something in the meanwhile. I will work on getting screenshots next time I'm on stock.
Thanks to MrLuje in the Desire forum for posting his mod that this is based off of.

Once again, great job tommy!
Oh this is nice! I love quick settings and it was the thing I missed the most when I had to switch to stock for a few days. I would be all over this if I was a stock user. Thanks for bringing this to the community!
Works perfectly. I have my quick settings and my 4 in 1 boot and now i'm coo. All that other stuff is cosmetic. i'm all flashed out until custom 4.53 roms come out.

One thing that would make this better is if the recent apps used showed in quick settings also, is that possible?

I can make a separate zip that will have both quicksettings and recent apps, though I am done for the night, so probably in a couple of days, I'll have it out, rest of the weekend/week is going to be busy.
I've used widgetsoid to replace pcw. Here's a guide on how it works.

It's better than nothing. Nice work BTW.
Tapatalk like cookies ... nmmm
Right on, thank you! Don't use sense a whole lot anymore, but this fixes one of the reasons I don't.
But I always use theme stuff. Would it be hard for you to identify what you changed in systemUI so I could pull it out and just drop it in systemUI of theme I use? Or is it more complicated than that?
Also, does this affect the PCSCII that pops up when you plug into USB?
Thanks for this.

Nice work, I'm trying out the swagged out stock Rom and this makes it even better.
I was wondering can you change which quick settings are displayed? Thanks.

Holy sh_t ca1ne! You are a f_ckin' GOD I could kiss you right now
Here are some screenshots from my Swagged Out Stock ROM (attached below).
Only issue I faced was that the SystemUI.apk didn't work on it's own. (The apk was missing a META-INF folder, is that normal?)
Anyways, I re-enabled transparency on your classes.dex (after decompiling of course), pushed the edited classes.dex to my SystemUI.apk and got it working. (Although the transparency step is not needed). I have attached a working, Swagged Out SystemUI.apk (push it with Root Explorer, ES File Explorer, ADB, it's up to you).
From my testing, I thought some of the settings were not working at first. But after some time, they all started working (nice!).
With your permission, I would like to include this MOD into the next release of SOS (adding in the previous Swag as before, of course). All props would be directed to you (duh).
Also, for future reference (when you have the time), could you throw together a quick tutorial of how you did this? Like, which smali or xml's you edited and where. That would be great for future OTAs. Unless EOL means EOU(pdates) for the EVO
Anyway, thanks again man! This is baller as hell!!!!!
I was just about to start on this.
I tell you what. Those desire guys know their stuff.

+1 on flashlight. It just seems like the most effective for flashlight toggle. Thanks for your work.

Hey, This is sick, Very nice work, Recent apps work perfectly also! Thanks again =D
Sorry for the question.... but in the op it states that Auto Brightness and Auto Rotate are available. When I installed I have everything but those two on my quick settings bar. How can I get those added to my quick settings bar? Did I miss something? I am running the Stock Rooted deodexed 4.53 rom posted by NinjaWolf.
Thanks for your help
Noel
absolutely perfect, my phone has all the new options as possible and as close to stock as it can be. Recent apps works great. Thanks for this.

[MOD] SkySTOCKeteer Battery MODS with Percentage *UPDATED WITH MODS for 2.0*

I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PHONE. NANDROID IS YOUR FRIEND
Cooked this up in UOT Kitchen. It's working perfect on SkySTOCKeteer v 1.5 on my phone. This is a CWM flashable zip. Here's a pic of the Battery icon.
I've added a new Battery! Scroll down to find it! 2.0 Mods on Second Page
This is the battery icon on the phone. Enjoy!!
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket!
Seems to be working for me.
AT&T w/ SkySTOCKeteer v1.5, DA_G's kernel v0.3, and Go Launcher EX.
Thanks for cooking this up!
Thought I would contribute. My percentage in battery icon (It's an upright battery that starts at green) with green overscroll glow. It's for Skystocketeer 1.5. Also one there for stock 727R.
Enjoy!
Thanks for adding yours. It would be awesome to maybe set up a uot "diner" where people can come get the misc things we cook up for the roms!

This is a great mod. Can't wait for it to be implemented on a ROM.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
I made a new Battery Mod that's CM style bar with the % to the left. It has white numbers, for the black bar. They just aren't visible in that pic. I'll update with a screen shot soon.

I agree. Other devices and ROMs have a MODs and themes thread. If you are interested, since you are the OP on this thread, you could start a new one called "skystocketeer MODs and themes" and then I would hope that everyone would go to that one place.
will this work with other roms, or is it just for you rom?
My battery mods were cooked using the skySTOCKeteer Rom files. I have no idea if it would work on any other Rom. Sorry

I take it flashing this would wipe out my Extended Power Menu correct? Anyway you can add the ext power menu to this mod?

I have no idea if it would wipe it out. Why don't you do a quick Nandroid and try it for us so we know! I never installed the Extended Power menu so I'm not sure. If you don't feel like risking it, can you possibly send me the link to the Ext Power menu and I'll install and try it! Thanks!
Yeah it wiped it. Because the mods for the Menu are added to the framework-res.apk file so this one wipes it out when flashing it.

Sorry, I wish I knew enough about the framework to edit and and have both. Thanks for being the guinea though!
I never heard of this UOT Kitchen website.. I guess I never really had to attempt to theme my device before because my previous phone was heavily supported by developers.
But I was able to upload my framework-res that I had with the power menu and apply the sideways battery.

This is my first time using it at well. I'll try that and see if it works for me as well. I just updated to SkyROCKeteer 2.0 so I'll try with those files! Thanks!
*EDIT* NVM 2.0 has the extended options built in! Not on the power menu, but in the drop down bar!
Here's a new CM7 style matching battery cooked from the latest 2.0 release. Cooked with matching blue scheme.
And here's a vertical stock style with percentage for the traditional crowd! LOL Same new Blue color scheme! Enjoy!

hey scoot05redss can you make Circle Battery with % in blue, signal bar, wifi bar also?
The signal and wifi icon is controlled by the rom. If you update to the new 2.0 they will be blue. But yes i can work on a circle one and make it match the new blue!
