Hey guys
I have an AT&T captivate with the stock rom (rooted) and im having issues with recording videos about every 30sec to 1min the video freezes for about 1 or 2 sec then continues to record. as well as when im listening to long mp3s (like audio books) about every 3 or 4 min it skips for about 1 or 2 sec.
now im curious is that related to the lag that these phones experience ? and is there anything that you guys would recommend to help that ?
has anyone experienced this???

I had skipping in audio playback when I was stock, and when I used OCLF.
Changed to VooDoo and it went away.

I installed the OCLF and it made a huge difference! but it still skips, thanks again for your help
I am running rooted stock with no issues. it is probably related to some type of IO blocking by some other app. Voodoo should cure it. I am running without voodoo.

Running ICBNB and noticed when playing music with any player (using stock mainly) get a sort of skip maybe once or twice per song and have messed with voodoo controls and no change in any setting just a simple 1 second skip thats just getting annoying wondered if anyone else has encountered this. any help would be appreciated!
Hi, everytime i play a video on youtube it plays normally for a few mins but then it suddenly just pauses by itself, when i try to resume it , the video starts from the beggining.
Does anyone know where's the problem?

Maybe that's not the answer You want but in my case Kyrillos was buggy on my SG3. Now I'm a happy user of CM7. Just had Kyrillos few days.

I noticed mp3 playback will skip (best way I can describe it, sort of similar to the old old cd players being bumped while playing) on custom ROMS. Happened on Miui.us v2.12.28 and Avatar 2-Feb-2013. So I rolled back to stock I727UCLF6_I727ATTLF6 and imagine my surprise that mp3s playback with no skips at all.
I'm totally lost, not even sure what to try next. I even looked at the debug monitor during playback but nothing seemed obviously unusual.
Anyone else run into this problem?

Did you flash any audio mods or anything like that when I ran miui for short period and avatar didn't have issue with mine... did you wipe dalvik and cache in music player then reboot
My audio skips in the Google Play Music 4.5.910I.560208 (latest).
But not like op's, it just like's to skip to next song when there's 30s-1:30m left of the track :S Not always but 3 out of 10 times.
No audio mods at all. Even noticed this after flashing avatar.

I have noticed if I use a different CPU govenor the skips become less frequent. I went from power save to conservative.

I've never got this but you could try poweramp and set the audio thread priority to ''Large +250ms'' under Audio>Advanced Tweak

As the title above, what causes this? I play a 720p movie in my Sensation using the MX Player and it have some distortion in some part, the distortion last for 3 - 6 sec though. After that it was normal but after around 5 minute or such it appears again. And i use the jelly bam rom. Is it because the codec? But some vids in game show that problem too.
Do i need to turn off like force 2D in the dev or such?

I updated my Skyrocket via Kies to stock JB. Looking back at the videos I've recorded in the past month I noticed that the videos lag on playback, stop playing after a few seconds, or are unplayable at all. I have tried recording at the 720 and 1080 setting and still get the lag. I know it's not isolated to my phone because my wife's Skyrocket (also on stock JB) has the same problem.
Does anyone else have the same problem? If so, what is the remedy. I don't have this problem with the videos I recorded when I was on stock ICS.

I did not face any such issues when I was in the stock JB.. now running CM 10.1. You can try to flash it again.. follow the below threads -
