hi guys i have htc hd2 and i search for ds emulator but i cant find it.... the only phone i can find this emulator is iphone ...........
it does not exist, only gameboy advance, gb color, and snes, emulator, those are the only nintendo emulators for our phones
There are a pretty good Playstation emulator for HD2 and other Windows Moble, check it out : http://www.fpsece.net
Lmao at the tags
Why would you want a Ds emulator? Its a pocket size (roughly lol) games machine with crappy games.
Im sure it'd be fun for a week or two, but nothing compared to FPSece...
and the use of one screen would sort of ruin the whole DS thing...
actually the ds has a lot of great, fun and INNOVATIVE games... your bias is extremely apparent in your response... on the other hand.. you are correct at the fact that a ds eulator would be pointless due to the lack of a second screen... and most likely the one you heard about for the iphone was siimply a rumor...b/c if the hd2 can't do it..... then....
ds have nice games pfffff my nervous i find ds emulator only for iphone!!! why all aplications is for iphone?????
Hi guys, I was hoping we could get a project together to work on a Playstation 1 emulator for Android.
What I miss about my HD2 was FPSECE.
Something like this for us Android users (mainly snapdragon) would be awesome!
A paid app for it would be even better. (money going to whoever creates the app, not me)
Tell me your ideas on this!
+1 was thinking about this when i found at that the N900 had a PSX Emu, Chrome Broswer and Firefox :|
PSX Emu is on almost everythin except Android :/

Would be cool.. but I'm sure it would absolutely KILL the battery
How do you plan on controlling games?
I can't really see this being an enjoyable experience, unless you have a BT controller or something and you're sitting on a plane or bus where you can prop your phone up.
Iphone has it... wers its buttons ... as long as touchscreen buttons are correctly layed out across the screen it shud be fine. I dont find it hard to play the snes emu or any other emu on the nexus tbh
Also on the N900 they got the ps3 pad hooked up... maybe thats summet that can be done on android, now that would be...
I'm more interested in a n64 emulator myself.

Maybe somebody could figure or a way to connect a dual shock 3 via bluetooth. lol
I saw that someone managed to get the Wii controller to connect to the iPhone for playing games
This would be absolutely awesome!
Thanks for all the responses guys!
I think we cold make this or a N64 emulator happen for snapdragon devices.
For a physical controller:

bump. Let's get this thread going again!
I would personally love to see this happen and have loads of GI Bill money to DONATE toward the cause!

oooh! that would be awesome.
Maybe someone with C++, linux, and java can help us out
Has anyone tried contacting the developer of Fpsece or the developer of Psx4all? They might be able to help get a ps1 emulator for android.
Yes and was completely ignored...
this is a shame, with android becoming more and more popular, a KILLER app like this could change the tide faster. I hope some bright folks reconsider and make one.
Guys with the way the Nexus handles multi touch, PSX games would be near unplayable. Any game where you are pressing multiple buttons simultaneously will have a big problem translating over. Hell, this even applies to many of the SNES roms there.
sad news i was surprised on how well the hd2 handled it. damn do i miss playing psx on it
PSX emulator would be a waste of time, how do you expect to emulate 2 analog control sticks, 4 buttons and the R1/R2/L1/L2 buttons? Only very basic games would be playable.
Even playing PSX games on a PSP is difficult enough sometimes.

its not a waste of time..its available for windows mobile and works beautifully for the hd2..also on the iphone
and it is almost done..yongzh the creator of the emulators on android and zodttd the creator of the emulators for iphone are working together on it
So I've had my phone for a couple weeks now, I was hearing all this buzz about how awesome Android is now and how far it's come so I just took the plunge. The phone has been fun to use and explore as far as widgets are concerned etc... but if I would ever make this my full time device it would have to do everything that my other phone (iPhone4) does. This brings me to the games... so far on the market all I've seen are pretty shoddy looking atari or nintendo looking games, where are all the graphically intensive and/or beautifully designed games in the market? How do I find games that actually take advantage of the GPU in my phone (Galaxy S)?
Gameloft has bunch of 3D games like Avatar and Assiasin's Creed for Android on their website, I can't post links so just google it or go to Gameloft.com and go to their Android section.
Also, emulators

Why don't you go buy a dumb flip phone and supplement it with a PDA? Oh, maybe because you want one device to do multiple things? Imagine that. With phones like the Epic out, phones are starting to pack some pretty nice GPUs - you shouldn't dismiss gaming just like that.
To the OP: Check out Gameloft's stuff like someone else mentioned, they really are top of the line, but they refused to list their games in the marketplace. SNESoid, NESoid can run SNES/NES games. There's also some decent paid games in the Marketplace, you can usually find a demo or Lite version to try. With more people flocking to Android, more developers will start creating fleshed out games other than Bejweled clones (hopefully).

I wonder why people say garbage like oh get a PSP if you want to play games, Or if you want to use a navigation system get a gps, etc. I for one buy a device so I can do it all with one device. Or else I wouldn't buy it. End of point.
oh if you want a phone buy a land line phone instead it works better??? Logical I think not!

Except Gameloft that begins to bring its Iphone hits to Android, there are few 3D games on our favorite platform.
Few days ago, I played Asphalt 5, that's not a bad game, because Gameloft proposed some free demo versions on its website (not avalaible n the market)
You can also try some good games you can find on the market like Speed forge 3D or Replica Island (not in 3D but a very good game).
At least you can try emulators (gensoid, gameboid...)

You can also enter a Ford Fiesta into an Indy car race too...
Best tool for the job is the simple summary. I for one am glad that the entire market isn't dominated by games.. With all of the porn and sound boards there wouldn't be any actual useful apps left.

Cool video, showed me some games I'd missed.
A question about Gameloft's games; I downloaded Dungeon Hunter, love it!
aTrackDog tells me there's a more up-to-date version than what I have, but I can't access it from the market.
Are their games auto update? Or do I need to do it manually?

You need psx4droid...
And you'll need the bios of the ps and images of the files...
FFVII runs really well (on samsung i9000)
You should try quake3droid if you like FPS games. It's awesome.
just a quick question: WP7 with Xbox live or iPhone or Android, Which among them would u recommend for hardcore gaming on the go considering present and future support and software? i'm having second thoughts about my device and was thinking of maybe switching. please no consoles, pc's, etc.
If you want HARDCORE gaming, neither WP7 nor iPhone will be good enough...PSP/PSP2 is what you'll want
You could wait for the rumored (dc if it's "confirmed" it's still a rumor to me) Sony phone, supposed to be like a psp running android.
i mean, only from those 3, wp7, iOS and android. i was thinking about gaming on the go with the same device making calls, sms, email, movies, music

for gaming on the go with the best future potential, i'd say wp7 has that crown.
Currently, android. Give it a few months and WP7.
Currently have an HTC Trophy, wife has an iphone. My mom has an Android (really!). So i guess the right thing to do is stick to WP7 and be patient
as much as i know we have emulators for psx and other conosles on android?^^
winmo got a psx emulator too (not wp7)
Cool, a psx emulator! Thats a plus then. Hate this dilemma

wp7 doesnt have ish for it .. what are u talking about .... only gameloft hd and dungeon defenders are worthwhile games , and theyre for android
that said id reccomend a galaxy s series or psp phone or a tegra2 phone
What screen size do you think you need for hardcore gaming? I can't imagine playing anything in great detail on a screen smaller than a tablet (iPad, Galaxy Tab, etc.)
Any screen size will do i guess or maybe at least 3.5"
Although i will never buy an iPhone, i have to admit that iPhone wins for gaming. Casual gaming, not hardcore. Android sure has WAY morapps then WinMo, but tbh, i was a bit dissapointed at the quantity/quality. iPhone has dedicated officaial game devs, wheras android is open source and there aren't that many blockbusters.
i personally use ny Ipod touch. i don't use my tab for games, there aren't many :/
Android is best for gaming. At CES, lots of new games were demoed for Android.
http://www.appolicious.com/tech/articles/4690-ces-android-other-platforms-see-a-big-gaming-boost
WP7 has the potential to be a big gaming platform, but it's never going to happen if people don't buy it, and so far, they aren't. Of the few who have bought a WP7 phone, fewer people are satisfied with it than people who bought Android phones.
http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/71041
Are phones carrier subsidized in the Phillippines? If not, then you will get a whole lot more phone for the money going with Android over iPhone.
Android has better hardware for games
iPhone has better optimization. The devs all just focus on one device hardware to build upon. the apps are more stable.
Gangstar on my ipod touch 2g is smoother than on my Samsung Galaxy Tab :/
p.s - I'm not a Apple fanboy.
None for now. WP7 might have a chance with XBox Live integration (and I think we might see some XBox games ported over, maybe not), but nothing much right now. iOS does have a ton of casual games, but not too fond of hardcore gaming on it (I think the screen size is way too small). Android has the advantage in hardware (obviously), but has a lack of drivers and, with the exception of emulators, the game selection is poor (might change).
Windows Mobile 6.x True playstation emulator.
FSpcse on TG01 = Unbeatable
(except hd2)
the new PSP
I would wait for the Atrix to come out, as it will be a powerhouse.
iPhone seems to get more support for games though and they are always released on iOS first.
Play Station Phone
ok!ggggggggg

Only those of which Sony port over, I seriously doubt they will be emulated.
I really wanna get excited but I can`t, Sony have spoon fed us mostly rubbish in the PSOne department, initial thoughts from what are suggested is that it is more of the same for PSP.
I want Sony to prove me wrong on this soon, but we will see
Hope they port Need for Speed Underground Rivals *-* or FreeRunning
Hey...First game they oblige to port is the PATAPON series!!!
then all the others!!!
PSP ports are already here
Japans PS Store app has
QRuTon lite (Sony Tablets)
Piyotama lite (Sony Tablets)
Ape Escape Academy (Sony Tablets)
Loco Roco: Midnight Carnival (Xperia Play)
Also the US Sony Tablet S comes preloaded with Pinball Hereos, which was a PSP game originally. It's touchscreen, no on-screen buttons needed.
QRuTon lite (Sony Tablets)
Piyotama lite (Sony Tablets)
Ape Escape Academy (Sony Tablets)
These games will be available only on the Sony Tablets? Why? =/
I'm guessing because the XP doesn't have the necessary horsepower. The Sony tablet has double the cores and double the RAM.
If it shouldn't be up to horsepower because the PSP only had a 300 MHz processor the xperia play has 3x that

Locoroco looks like an emulator: it is a bit laggy and has a menu to quit that looks similar to psxperia.

It's a port. there's no way in hell that the play can emulate psp games
If it was Emulated I dougbt Sound would work and Image would be choppy framrate would be like 2 and Port's are made to suit the device specs not to be Emulated.
Emulation can only be done on a Device With x6 power of the emulated machine
When it comes to Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, I certainly hope that it's a slightly superior port in terms of visuals. Perhaps something along the lines of the PS2 counterpart that had better lighting, textures, and shadows, but without the gimped censorship (wishful thinking).
you know what would be awesome?
if you could play the games that are ported to xperia play again people using psp
