hey i hope i dont get flamed, i think ive been as specific as i can in my subject to a target audience. im just wondering if anyone has used my backup pro to backup and then restore and has noticed that after restoring they have the same ringtones; im expecting a major firmware upgrade soon (the infamous X10 2.1 upgrade) and want to know if it's worth jotting down my ringtones in a .txt document or if the app will do it for me.
(p.s. I know how rowdy some people get in these forums, so apologize for any offense in advance)

Im shure you who've got msn messenger have all used the native windows live messenger in rc30 with droidsans IM fix for non us tmobile sis (Makes it use data insted of sms) and have all noticed how amazing it is compared to ebuddy and buddymob for connection ?
Well i found this website http://www.droidsans.com/content/MSN-with-non-T-Mobile-G1 And its the file that made us able to use it as part of tweak tools by droid sans... well i was hoping seeing as the file used is .odex if theres anyway of creating something new like this for the newer builds with built in IM?

New to the WinMo world and here! I have had my Sprint TP2 now for about a month and I love it, even with WinMo 6.1.
I am eagerly awaiting the unlocker due out today and I wanted to know that steps that I need to take to back up my phone / sprint roms prior to doing this. Specifically, I want to make sure that I still have Sprint NFL when I upgrade to 6.5.
Can someone please point me to the correct thread if there is one?

get pimbackup its all you need. you can search for cab files to install sprint apps such as the nfl application.
how do you know the unlockr will be out today?

quick backup for me is to backup the pim.vol file in the root directory. it has my contacts. good luck

I use dashwire for most things. It's free and it works. You'll need something else for calendar and apps I think. I miss the old windows mobile app that would back the whole thing up to an SD card.

I'm having a serious problem. I sent a SMS to a good friend this afternoon, and he got an altered version of it.
When I look in my Sent SMS folder, I see what I typed. When looking in his Received SMS folder, we see a modified version of what I sent him.
Before my original SMS we can now read this "I bought a segway, and am being drunk, sorry" (in French)
Then come my original SMS.
He use a Palm Pre2, and I have a Sony Ericsson Neo, with the latest official firmware, and root access. I didn't unlock my bootloader.
Recently, I installed "Set DNS" to solve the Google Market's unbearable slowness.
Do you have an idea about the cause of this problem?
Should I flash my phone back to original firmware?
Could Set DNS intercept my SMS and modify them?

Problem solved, it is a bug from my friend's Pre2, he has got some of his messages mixed together. The text that have been added to my message is coming from someone else's message.

In what way was it altered? Can you post the before and after messages (French is fine for comparason purposes)?
I know that some carriers have SMS Signature features that can be set up via their website/account admin tools, is it possible that that's what you're experiencing?

I ran JellyWiz for a few days but there were a few things I needed that I couldn't get ( I Know due to the T Mobile Base.) I need the Verizon usage widget to work along with I was missing NFL Mobile... I know I read in the right thread (I have to post here since I have never posted on this site but am rather experienced with Android..) that you can possible change the build. prop to get the verizon apps available in the Play Store.... But my reason for all of this is I REALLY want to keyboard he used in this ROM.... (Stock Hybrid not custom.) I have searched the net high and low looking for what version it is... I tried to extract it from the ROM and installed it but it kept crashing... I am assuming because the build.prop was for 4.0.3 and I am wanting to run it with 4.0.4 Can someone point me in the direction of where to locate a working .APK for 4.0.4 or get me going in the right direction.... Like I said I can pull it from the ROM but am not sure what all I need to change in my ROM to make it work.... Thank YOU for any help..... I am going to go browse through this section and start answering some questions here so I can build my rep up and be able to inquire in a more appropriate location... Please ignore this... After further flashing I now see that it is all just the stock Samsung keyboard... It had been so long since I set up any emails on my rom that I noticed the "@" and ".com" buttons on JellyWiz and really wanted them on mine... I have them more or less already... The layout is a little different but when typing in an email address field it brings them up automatically..... I do feel very schmucky for this........

so here we go (aaand i posted it in a wrong place already)
i installed (with the big help of this community cm 11) and i really like it but when i want to use the calendar it says i can only using it with registration with googles!! well, exactly this was the reason what brought me here in the first place
So does anybody knows WHY on earth do we have to do this? and please.... i must not syncronise with some weird onlineservice like google, itunes or any cloud.... just totaly simple my pocketphone ...which i can backup on my e.g.desktop
and is it possible to back it up on the sd ?
I would looooooove to get a hint
