Hi together,
i'm running the shubkraft canogen build android on my HTC HD2 and missing the contactlist of the Windows Mobile Version, where you can jump to a new letter just by pressing this letter on the right side, no scrolling at all!
Can anyone tell me how to get that back?
Thanks!

Hi folks
I just recently purchased the HTC Touch Pro, but am still carrying the HTC Kaiser with me for typing SMS messages as the slideout keyboard on the HTC Touch Pro does not seem to be able to type national letters, like ú,ü,ó,í,ð etc.
I've been looking just about everywhere for a solution, but have so far been unsuccessful. Does anyone here know how to solve this?
Thanks for your interest
Sorry for bumping, but is there seriously noone else who has this problem?
I still have to carry around my HTC Kaiser for the same reason
I don't know about ú,ó,í,ð and these stuff. But ü and the other german "umlauts" are just mapped on the keyboard by using the FN key + letter in the german keyboard layout.
Hi,
I have installed the Hornet 5.1b ROM that has Win6.1 as the OS. I am able to use all the hardware keyboard functions as standard i.e. the default letters and default symbol for each key.
The problem I have is that the "Sym" key found on teh Wizards spacebar will not cycle through the available symbols available for that specific key. I.e. If, on standard Windows Mobile device, I wish to enter the pound symbol (£) I would press the Fn key + the G letter that has the $ sign as it's default symbol. I would then press the Fn key and the Sym key to cycle through to change the symbol to £.
The actual Sym function on my current ROM does not work. There is no functionality at all for this button.
I do not want to flash to another ROM as I am very happy barring this one issue. I am wondering if anyone knows how to regain this Sym functionality? I have done plenty of searching and most results will refer to language changes - this is not what my problem.
Hope to get a helpful response to this thread.
Cheers,
DocJ0nes
I just wanted to thank you because I never knew you could do that!
It works fine on my custom WM6.0 ROM.
OK on WM6.5
Just to remark that sym function works fine on my Qtek 9100 h/w keyboard running WM6.5. I'm using XDA2's (Haseeb's) ROM.

Glad to help at least
How is the 6.5 ROM? I'm reluctant to try it as my tests with converted language ROMS in the past have not been fun.
Anyone else know a solution to my problem...?

Well, in general workable. Slow in messaging start-up, but otherwise like a heavily-loaded 6.1 Well worth the "sacrifice" in my case. I use Spb Mobile Shell v.3.0 and have disabled CHome.
Hi All,
Can one of you guys send me a UK version of the sym.txt file found in the root of the windows directory on your wizard. The sym.txt may have a 4 digit number in the filename, this is the one I need.
I would like to compare the file you have with a working "Sym" button configuration and hopefully fix mine myself.
PM me for my email address if you are interested in helping me

Like everyone else, I thank you for telling us about the feature. I always wondered what "sym" was supposed to do. It also does accent marks. =]
I'm pretty sure I don't have a UK sym.txt and I don't know where to get one, but here is my sym.txt if you want to compare anyways. It works, but I think it is WWE:
Hi,
Why is WM6.5 only comming for Rhodium (Pro2) and not for Raphael (Pro)??
Is It a possibility whenever WM6.5 is official that the develloppers strip It so It can also be avalible for the Pro?
Greetz,
Fabian1985
There are already wm6.5 custom roms for the Raphael. Dont expect any official ones though - why are the phone companies going to bother, they'll just tell you to upgrade the the newer handsets!
been running 6.5 on my pro since day one. i would rather not use a provider rom anyway
If they offered an "official" 6.5 rom, there are those that would say why bother getting a new phone. I've been running 6.5 on my Fuze since May...no issues.
Just step over to the rom section, install Hard SPL and jump right in.
Because the TP doesnt have a dedicated windows (icon) key which is required for all 6.5 handset. It's dumb, but that's the rule as far as I've heard

The lack of the Windows button really does drive me up the wall, especially as the TP seems to have issues with the touchscreen in the corners... is there any way to remap one of the other front buttons to act as a Windows key?

You can remap the home key in winmo6.5. Here's the link to the post
Can that cab be installed on the latest EnergyROM without any issues? I would really love to remap my home key to start. Double pressing the start button goes to the today screen anyways, so it makes perfect sense.

There is a dedicated windows icon key. Trust me, it's there.
Hint: The Diamond doesn't have one.

Why official update if we can have greater ROM´s made by dear Chefs on XDA!!
Imagine, my Universal came with WM5, and now I´m using 6.5!!
Hello! I was wondering if anyone else is annoyed that desktop users cant swipe in Windows 8?
Well it bothers me! I would of put this in the Windows 8 Forum but my post count got in the way!
But anyway here's my question...
I've Downloaded Mutitouchvista. It works and activates all of the tablet features.
The problem is that the replacement cursor doesn't draw over context menus or anything Metro. Making it Useless in most of the OS.
It's been plaguing me for awhile! Any Ideas?
Thanks,
