Ringtone Trimmer

For the life of me I cannot install the stock ringtone trimmer onto DamageControl v1.0. Does anyone have the .apk file I need and instructions on how to install it?
Thanks guys

ummm get it off of the market? it is free you know! if not google for the apk..it won't be warez as it's free. and to install just put it on your sd card and use linda file browser or another and that's, that. you could also use htc sync to install.

No go on the market. I don't want to use RingDroid. I loved the stock trimmer as it was basic and did exactly what I needed. Nothing more, nothing less

I have the .apk...I believe it's from 1.5, but when I use HTC Sync to install it, I receive a message on the device that it was not installed. No reason as to why though. I've tried installing it through AndroZip as well, same problem. Can't figure out whether I have the wrong file or whether I'm doing something wrong.

Ha ha. Yet another avenue that failed for me. And if I remember correctly, Flipz said his pre-kitchen only half worked with 2.1...I seem to remember him specifically saying not to try to push with it. I learned that only after I locked up my device when I tried to push the trimmer.

The reason the ringtone trimmer from the fresh kitchen didn't work is because its a 1.5 apk n not compatible. You could download flipz ROM and extract it or pm me your email and I'll send it to you

Does anyone now what i'm doing wrong? i know i can directly install the papers using file explorer but thats a pain
I've un-installed and re-installed HD Walls and the patch but i still get the same error code?
thanks

Just tried that and when i try to install a Wallpaper i get the error message then it shuts the app down, i re-open the app and try it again and the same happens
Uninstall all. Than install the Patch at first and Softreset than Install HDwall and than try to install wallpaper!
Did you make the wallpaper by yourself?
Maybe its CFC compressed and you needit uncompressed. Or it is Uncompressed adn you need it compressed!
Wich profile you use in HDwall to make cabs?
No i'm just using ones i've downloaded from from here, i'll try the advise you've just given and see if that works.
Thanks

Just tried this but no luck here I'm really unsure why this is happening i'm quite familiar with modding my phone and have just done a hard reset yesterday so things are pretty clean?!
Hi
I had the same problem with HDWallS.
Eventually I gave up. Ultimately the HDWall cabs can all be installed directly via file manager/Resco/etc.
HDWallS is simply a nice interface for browsing. Viewing thumbnails in Resco pretty much does the same thing.
When you try to install the cab (NOT via HDWallS) does it install ok?
The error is occurring because your phone is still prompting you to allow the installation of unsigned apps. Because the wallpaper CAB is an "unsigned app" and HDWalls doesn't know how to interact with the prompt, you just get the error message.
Try enabling unsigned apps through either BSB Tweaks or HD2Tweak (at least one of them, if not both - can make the necessary registry change; unfortunately I cannot remember off the top of my head which it is).
I just tried that, and I still get the error message...

Did you reboot the phone after applying the settings? Have you confirmed that you can install the wallpaper cab directly without getting prompted to accept the installation?

New version of Quick Boot for Sense UI phones

I'm the developer of Quick Boot, and I noticed Quick Boot was not working on Sense UI phones (such as EVO). Quick Boot is an app that will reboot your phone to recovery / bootloader mode or just reboot it normally. I have created a new version of Quick Boot that should work (it works on my I/O EVO 4G), but I would like some forum members to test it out first to make sure it works before pushing it out onto the Android Market.
You can download the fixed version of Quick Boot from here: (SEE BELOW)
Will only work on rooted EVO 4Gs! It does work with UNREVOKED root, because with this new version I have my own reboot binary in the app's files on the data partition, so the system partition does not have to be writeable.
-------
EDIT: New version! This one should work better. The first version only worked the first time you used it! Afterward, the file permissions would be messed up.
Download link to new version: http://www.siriusapplications.com/assets/quickboot/quickboot31.apk
Thank you!!
Haha I was wondering why it wasn't working on my evo and only my samsung moment. Good stuff, thanks for the update.
Works perfectly, thank you very much!

If all you're using ROM Manager for is rebooting to recovery, yes. But ROM Manager can do so much more.
noob question of the day, what is quick boot. further more what is fastboot?
I press the buttons and nothing happens.

thanks so much for this isaac. Also, I have a question. I use a widget called switchpro that has a reboot option. It doesnt work just like the old quickboot wouldnt work. Does this quickboot install files that might make switchpro work again? Or does quickboot keep to itself more or less.
worked great thanks. This doesnt fix the ROM manager reboot option tho.
Great job working perfect here.
This is probably my favorite app of all the ones I use.
Are you now invoking reboot etc by shell commands instead of relying on the reboot file?
I am working on an updater and would love to get this code working and not have to rely on the reboot file.

Nope, I just bundle the reboot binary with my app and copy it to my app's files directory. I change the permissions with chmod and then can execute it just like the bundled reboot binary, except it works.

ROOT GoClever R103 10"

USE THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK!
Rooting your device can void device´s guarantee.
Follow the steps:
1. Download the files in the attachment and place them in the root of the sdcard.
2. After the first step is done a window will pop on your screen. Select yes and the device will reboot short after in CWM.
3. Now, according to your options you can flash superuser+busybox or supersu. I recommend superuser because we can uninstall the root with this choice. Go to install zip from sdcard and choose the zipfile from the card, press enter then yes when you are asked if you are sure you wanna flash.
4. Reboot device!
*DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING
Success! Your device is rooted.
Now because I didn´t figure out how to access the CWM, we need to keep the update.zip file but is enoying to have the update popping all the time so we will rename it from your favorite file manager. Whenever you want to uninstall the root rename the zip again to update.zip and place it on the root of the sdcard, run the update and flash the unroot zip.
To check if your device is rooted download Terminal Emulator and enter the su command.
Please stay tuned because I have a debian port for this device with working sound and drivers in deb bootstrap.
You can find me on my youtube channel and subscribe for the latest news!
Thank you! If you appreciate the tutorial and the job done please don´t hezitate to donate! ( every penny counts and will develop new apps!)
You absolute star! Thinking that this will make a lot of ppl happy
Before I root, not being a techie I don't understand what a debian port is - are you saying that the sound wont work once rooted at the moment?
Thanks a lot

You can root it ! A debian Port its like a rom with linux on it, a flavour of linux named debian. That doesn´t have sound on other devices except this because I found a way to implement it.
The device will work the same after rooting. And I am working for a custom JB rom for this device.
Hope you will support me!

Hi, any news on the Debian port?
I'm willing to test it if you have a work-in-progress port
Been a bit slack getting around to doing this but finally did it today.
Two things:
1) It definitely works great and my R103 is now rooted
2) Get the No-frills CPU Control app as soon as you have it rooted - this thing was sluggish as hell until I installed this app (needs root) but flippin flies now!!!
