Another Reason why we need 2.1

If you use Winamp on your Windows PC you now have pretty seamless integration between your desktop player and your Android phone. The Now Playing-style setup you're used to comes to Winamp on Android, and with it comes with a very intuitive interface: the now playing window is actually a drawer that can be expanded or collapsed at any time, the rest of your library lying behind it. In addition, the player controls are always just a tap away, allowing you to control your music and see your queue from any screen in the app.
Along with the standard widgets, shortcuts, and scrobbling that have become the standard for all Android music players, Winamp also brings the ability to sync with your desktop computer over Wi-Fi, no need to dock your device. Of course, for you speed enthusiasts, Winamp includes standard USB syncing as well. If you're a Winamp user, grab this up right now, because it doesn't get any better than this. Heck, I don't even use Winamp, and I might keep this app around—its interface really is that great. Hit the QR code to the right to check it out.
Neat.
Saw this the other day, but I don't think it's EQ equipped? It'll need an equalizer for me to even consider using it post the 2.1 update.

Don't know about Winamp but Power Amp has some really stunning EQ features. Look it out at Droid-den.com!

BlueMusic is the software that will allow you to listen to music played on your WM2005 PocketPC or Smartphone with your Bluetooth headsets.
It's now easy to listen to your MP3s and many other audio formats, wherever you are with your Wireless Bluetooth Headset.
It's even easier to use BlueMusic together with Skype, or other VoIP software.

Music is wireless! The new 1.0.510 version comes with lots of new features:
The Smartphone version and the PocketPC version are now combined in one single version to make everything easier for the users
No need to press the Headset main button anymore, just pair the headset with your device, and press the Start button in the BlueMusic interface. The audio gets instantly redirected to the Bluetooth headset
For PocketPC users: 2 versions of the today plugin are available. Also, you can now disable the plugin and use the shortcut in Programs
For Smartphone users: improved graphics and functionality. BlueMusic looks even better now.
Trial version allows 40 seconds of audio instead of the 30seconds in previous versions
Supports both landscape and portrait, both QVGA and VGA, and also Smartphones with Landscape screen resolution
The new version can be downloaded here
But it is still NON-Stereo right???
Yes that's correct. The "stereo" feature would mean a bigger project and different releases for different devices. But it can be an idea for a different project. Thanks for your input
Cheers,
Raul
Hi, I wonder when we could see some custom skins and widgets for PowerAMP we all know that since version 2.0 that is possible.
On the other hand I thought of the possibility of some application to customize the widgets using the PowerAmp public API, I could think of something like Bowtie for Mac or Windows CD Art Display where the users could have the option of make their own skins or install from other users, just like Widgetlocker.
I have created a PowerAmp widget "mod", it hasn't been easy to do and it is not suitable at all because I have used many widgets to create the "skin" so it create more system processes, so if we could have an application to do that for us it would be great.
I have no programming knowledge so the changes I made are purely visual, with help of Photoshop I have achieved a result similar to what a developer could get in a single apk (of course only if this is possible).
Look at the screenshot below to get an idea what I mean.

I hope some developer can do this (of course, if it is possible), I know that many would buy an app that can do this, and many others would donate to them if they can work on something like this
Please leave your opinion even if you don't like the idea and think that this is stupid and I'm only wasting your time, any feedback is appreciated.
If this thread is not supposed to be in here please move it to its right section. Thanks
I was thinking about this just the other day - the Android userbase kind of sucks. I mean, you get a piece of software as well-made as PowerAMP and we still have zero custom skins and zero custom widgets?
Barely anything even uses the PowerAMP API...
I guess fragmentation is to blame once again
I've been searching for poweramp themes as it just is the best player that gives the best sound quality ever! I came across this one:
http://androidforums.com/android-themes/532036-extreme-skin-poweramp.html
It's not very popular yet on the market as you also have to pay 0.76 euro for it. Have not tried it yet but hope this may help
Hi friends I just noticed that while during a call we are able to play music in background using third party media player like poweramp but only we can here that and the person on other side of call are not able to listen that, also the volume of call and music can be controlled separately. Now it could be possible to mix all sound like.
1. Sounds of call and music can be played through different speakers ie headset, Bluetooth or speakers separately.
2. Two or more media players able to play on different speakers.
3. We can mix call and music so the person other side of call can here music also..
4. We can record audio from different source like Mic,call,FM or music separatly at same time
5. There should be a mixture interface from which inputs and output can be controlled..
May be achieved through kernel/Rom modding along with some applications or any way...This will make our android devices great.
This is just an idea and I hope our great developer might take a look on this issue.... Thanks.

Not a development thread - moved to General.
I for one would like to see something like this.
I want to be able to record to MP3, snippets of songs I'm playing in Spotify to make ringtones and alarms.
Clearly it should be possible and our devices are most probably artificially limited to prevent piracy.
Can't see it changing any time soon unfortunately.
Guys,
Here is the Latest Google Music Player name as “Now Playing”. leaked beta version
After launching the Redesigned Google PLAY Store (v4.0+), Google now has planning to release brand new Music App which is named as “Now Playing”.
This with neat and simple user interface, this app actually will win your heart. This Now Playing app is still in the beta stages but the only unfortunate thing is that it still doesn’t have the access to Google Music Library and makes it the best 3rd party music player with simple minimalist and simplistic view.

This perfectly working on our GNote device. We can expect lots of improvement after official release..:good:
Hope you will really enjoy. Just thought to share with you guys
Will this work regardless of where you live or is it just for a few select markets/locations?
This isn't Google's work, and it's not the next Play Music app. Get your **** together. "Now Playing" is developed by Jack Underwood, and it's a themed version of Andrew Neal's Apollo player (the one that ships with Cyanogenmod CM10.1)
"i've recently started work on a Google-Now themed music player. It's orginally based on Apollo Source Code by Andrew Neal. It's got the stage where i'm happy to show it off and would love some constructive criticism and feedback."
Show some damn respect. You can find the Now Playing thread here .
^^^^This if anyone is interested in this app please follow the link that LordManhattan posted to actual developers xda page.
