FEATURES
kernel is 2.6.29-perf, Cyanogenmod 7 Based (Gingerbread 2.3.5), overclock is supported (710 mhz max)
KNOWS BUGS:
- FM not working
- Wired headset not working during calls
- Wifi tethering is not working with built in method (settings -> wireless), but works well with the app from the market "wireless tether for root users"
- Camera is now working (thanks slk77) but buttons are not correctly skinned, minor bug
- Qrcode apps not working
- Usb thetering not working due to kernel limitation
Keyboard issues:
The main problem for keyboard is that there are different versions around of this phone with different keyboards...
In order to gain the same characters mapping as before you need to move back from the original rom the file named qwerty.kcm.bin located under system/usr/keychars in the same folder of the new rom.
The file that is now packed in the rom is the one from the italian version of u8300 that should be ok for european users. Other keyboard versions need their own file from the old eclair rom.
I'm packing some of the keyboard layout to help you with this, they are in form of zip update, flash them after the rom and remember to fix permissions!

PREPARE YOUR PHONE
- Root the phone with z4root
- Install rom manager from market
- Install the custom recovery from rom manager, choose huawei ascend recovery
- Reboot into recovery and do a full backup of your current rom
INSTALL ADRENALIN ROM
n.b.: If you are coming from a previous adrenalin rom version I suggest you to wipe data and do a fresh install to avoid problems like bootloop or Force closes.
- Put the file Adrenalin.2.3.5.RC1.update3 into the root of your sd card and reboot the phone in recovery mode
- Choose wipe data/factory reset from the menu
- Choose "install zip from sdcard" and select Adrenalin.2.3.5.RC1.update3 from the menu, go on with the process
- Once done, reboot the phone and do the first boot, it should take 3/4 minutes
- Reboot the phone once again in recovery mode and again choose "install zip from sdcard", but this time select patches.zip and go on with the process
- Once done, do not reboot, but select "advanced" and then "fix permissions", it should take a minute or less
- Reboot and you are done

get rom manager, clockwork reco and finally i get 2.3 on my u8300 and it is working fine, it is really light and clean (how to install google apps such gmail, maps etc?)
some bugs at the first impressions (notice that i am a newbbie and this is the first rom i try on android, so some bugs aren't a real bug but depend from my incompetence):
cannot pull up the notification panel
cannot find screen alignment utility
can't find add new google account (only new email)
the in call screen is always in portrait mode (so it is rotated by 90 degrees)
this is a very best starting point for developing this huawei device.
i'll wait to test newer build
thank you very much for your efforts!
sorry for my english, if u need more detailed reports please contact me in pm, so we could speak italian ^^

thank you znial for your bug report
you can't pull down the notification panel because the touch is not aligned, and the main problem is that gingerbread don't use no more the tslib so there are not possibilities to align it manually trought a program. Align must be done by kernel side and this is so hard for me T_T but i'm working on it ^^
google apps need to be downloaded from market

uhm... I have it... that's strange...
wich language are you using?
btw, good news for the calibration method, a guy at google groups is developing a system to do the calibration
http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting/browse_thread/thread/d8ab71947bc96c6a/78fa66c89d0b5d99
but we will need to wait a bit I think...
For the Google Apps (and market), install this: http://android.d3xt3r01.tk/cyanogen/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
ty for the app for the app market ^^
You are welcome. I am doing some experiments with the rom.
As far as I've seen, the touchpad is working correctly in landscape mode. So it's a bit weird but it's still usable.
I like the idea of Gingerbread on this phone
u are right with market xD
I've uploaded the wrong release of rom -.- sry my fault... I'll add back market with next release
OK, i solved the Problem of the Google Apps.
Download "gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip" file to your computer and copy and paste into the SDCard root . Turn off the Phone and Boot in recovery mode "Press and Hold Green key + Volume+ and Power up all the same time" and select "Flash from SD card". Then you'll see "gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip" and Select it. Install and reboot and done u'll see all Google apps.
1) does this rom supports "answer button" on wired handsfree ?
2) how much phone works (approx) ?
3) does barcode scanners works ?
4) can i mount card via USB without console\adb ?
i tried this swedroid.se/forum/showthread.php?t=40999 mod of CM7/2.3.3 & it got all this bugs now :-(
About the Notification bar the problem is no the calibration, i believe is the drag button is bugged, cuz u cant drag up or down,
btw i find a way to open it,
Go -> Menu -> Settings -> ADWLauncher -> General Behavior -> and chose Swipe Up or Down Actions -> and Open/close Notifications
I hope some genius solve this, but for now is better then nothing

All of my Rom's from this point forward will be Voodoo enhanced. Which means, if you do not have a voodoo kernel now, it will take a few minutes to first boot up.
If you are coming from a Rom that IS NOT STOCK( AKA REFUSED or INFUSED), please skip right to "Vodoo" install instructions.
Install Instructions For Green ClockWork and Modified Recovery 3e:
The install instructions are for phones that have been rooted and have the proper recovery installed. If you are not sure or don't please goto the main forum and download the proper sources.
Also, a word of advice to the in-experienced. It is best to install a ROM with a battery that has been fully charged. Otherwise you are going to have to WIPE the battery stats. If you flash a rom and it seems like your battery is "off", I assure you , that is most likely the problem. Plus it takes at least 72 hours to get an accurate reading.
1.) If you are in windows , make sure you have the proper drivers installed. If you don't have them , google it.
2.)Plug USB cord in and allow it to Mount USB Storage. Copy the ROM(a.ka install zip) to the SDCARD.
3.) If you are on another rom that has the Extended Power Menu, hold the power button down and choose "Recovery" from the menu. Otherwise, open up Rommanager and reboot into recovery.
4.)If you get the original 3e recovery, choose "Reinstall Packages" .
5.) When you finally get to the Clock Work Recovery screen, you can choose to wipe your data. Otherwise proceed to step 6.
6.) Choose install zip from sdcard, choose the zip file and choose yes to install.
7.) The most IMPORTANT THING THAT I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH. AFTER YOU INSTALL THE ROM, OR ANY OTHER ROM, REBOOT AND LET THE PHONE SIT FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES.
8.) If you are having issues, it might be due to not wiping then entire phone. Sometimes it is best to wipe DATA, CACHE , DBDATA and SYSTEM. But CAUTION, you will lose your apps , so please make a backup first.
9.) Enjoy and send me lots of thanks or money
Install Instructions For Voodoo Recovery:
1.) Copy file to your SDCARD. ( either mount via USB or push via ADB)
2.)Reboot into Recovery. From the power menu(hold power for 2 seconds), choose Recovery. Or poweroff the phone by holding the power button for at least 10 seconds, then hold the power button + volume up and volume down all at the same time. Or if you have the drivers installed and the android-sdk, adb reboot recovery works wonders.
3.)Once in the RED RECOVERY, choose install zip from
SDCARD.
4.)Choose your zip, install and Reboot.
5.)Wait at least 15 minutes before playing, let it settle. Build the Dalvick Cache.
It was just re-born, it needs a moment to take all the greatness in. Like NEO coming out of the matrix for the first time.
6.) Send thanks
And if you are having problems , please try to get me a logcat. Also I am available on IRC at the #INFUSE4G or #teamwhiskey on irc.freenode.net. And you can also contact me VIA private messages.

The Camera Program from UCK3 had a sensor issue, it would constantly run eating your battery. Also the front facing camera , like GTG's will force close if you take a picture . We are working on it
so which one did you include? the one from UCKE5? or other?
What is the difference between using the voodoo kernel included with this ROM and a voodoo kernel from infused 1.3?
None, they are both the same. I have noticed sometimes when you install it over each other things get odd. The reason why I asked for people who already have to install the ROM with outis because of that.

He's saying use that other download link if you already have it because, obviously, you don't need it. I'd imagine there is no difference between the kernels since gtg was involved with it.

A special thanks to all of you willing to test almost everything I throw at you, It helps so much thanks guys.

Hey guys sorry for taking so long to do well... anything :-(. Since I have let my A2 go to take advantage of an amazing opportunity presented to me by another smart phone manufacturer I weighed the options of just letting the supercharged rom die or hand it over to one of the other amazing devs here for the a2. And after literally 354 pm's requesting updates, fixes, or just to get back in the game it became clear I couldn't let it die! And lucky for you guys rdavisct is willing to take the rom on! I hope you all the best of luck and I know you are all in great hands with rdavist. I encourage you all to check out his work and to stay tuned as I know he will make great things happen for your devices! Thank you guys for all your support and hard work, You made a dev out of a tinker lol.
************A note on over clocking***********
For best results this is how ya need to do it. (only if you are using the old method exp typing 1200 into terminal emulator)
-Do not over clock until your phone is fully loaded (feels like setup lag is gone)
-Use motor_hot_plug governor
-Set min and Max to 1000
-Reboot the phone
-Wait till the phone is fully booted (again feels like lag is gone)
-Now open terminal emulater and type "su"
-Now type "1100"
-Run at 1100 for a few mins put some stress on it at 1100
-Now go to terminal emulator and type "su"
-Now type "1200"
****I'm seeing much better results if I "break it in" the over clock as opposed to just jumping in at 1200****
Thanks to Rick#2 for this overclock method.
Original OC thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1341514
************READ ME************
If you are running V4 you will need to delete the file OC3 in system/ect/init.d in order to use this overclock method, the default method in V4 is different then this one but they are both included. Please read the post linked below to learn how to set your own clock speed.
If you want to OC to say 1200 you would open terminal emulator type su, then echo 1200000000 > /proc/opptimizer
Another option is say you know your phone is stable at 1250 you could go to /system/etc/init.d open the file oc3 and change the values to 1250000000 and you would be at 1250 on every boot. DO NOT SET THIS TO A LEVEL YOUR PHONE IS NOT STABLE AT YOU WILL BOOT LOOP.
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/14511-op...4-overclocking-kernel-modulesofficial-thread/
Why distribute a rom as a backup?
It's just so much easier to maintain a rom like this, by just using the /system image for the restore we keep things small, simple, and updates can come much faster. We are also eliminating the possibility of a bootloop during flash to a new rom and we don't need a prep rom that causes gps issues! This will also mean the future updates in theory should never require you to format /data. That means we should not have to lose all our setting's in future editions of the supercharged roms!
____
-Beta;
It means the rom is a "WIP" Work In Progress, With enough of the features working to be a daily driver. In this stage the rom is not to be considered as a finished product or 100% stable. Expect bugs, (Report bugs!)

I see the link to the new rom is up Could you please provide a link to the "stock deodexed rom"? Thanks
This is working well so far.
So far, Overclocking with opptimizer doesn't need to run for 24 hours to work properly; at 1275mhz I'm beating a galaxy nexus in antutu.
I kinda miss the stock blur homescreen
Do we have to use Go Launcher? Just wondering, Thanks again for another great looking ROM.
Love you lfaber! Great news to wake up to! Will flash tonight once I get home from work. I have the stock deodexed rom already on the phone and I will report back any issues, if I run into any. Thanks!

You can install another launcher if you wish. I prefer ADW Launcher on my touchpad... It works well here too.
Also, I was able to restore the stock launcher
Drop BlurHome2.apk from the StockRootedOcWebDeodex zip back into /system/app directory, reboot, then install Moto Home Fix to switch to it.
I was wondering if i could use the themes from the StockDeodexRootTogglesOc-2 rom?
So I decided to go ahead and install the ROM and realized that the theme is already there.
Running this all morning so far, its nice and fast and stable, Thanks again!

How is your battery life so far?
i installed everything and it looks great so far!
however when i try to open AnTuTu i get a force close.
any ideas?
nevermind.
i updated the app and all is well!
When I try to open my google account to stop it from syncing certain things i get a FC that states. "The application Accounts (processcom.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
I also am not able to find the email app. I use exchange and can add my account but not able to find the emails.

My battery was holding its own pretty well, I would not be able to give an actual percentage now though, I plugged it in to transfer some files and forgot to unplug it...

Common ICS leak bug: shutdown/Reboot "stick"
Fixes: try whatever you want
1. Pull battery after first boot
2. Superwipe before installing my superlite
3. After install take a nandriod backup and reload that backup.
3. Last Resort fix. Backup your Internal SDCARD data which is the /emmc to your computer via usb cable, boot to CWR, format /emmc, superwipe and reflash superlite. Again this is a last resort, and will delete all of your data. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN EXTERNAL SDCARD TO FLASH FROM.

Fix:
Recreate the MMS shortcut!
No LTE at first boot
Fix:
Pull battery after first boot (or move to a LTE service area j/k)

Fix:
Call your voicemail or call your cell# from a land line, time is updated over the air from your network provider
An APP Force closed after loading backups.
**Common if you load backups. #1 or #2 should fix it quick
Fixes:
1. Reboot to CWR >> Fix Permissions
2. Settings >> APPS>> Clear App data >> Uninstall app, Reinstall APP from market
3. Reinstall Superlite, dont load your apps data, just load the apps.
4. Dont load backups, just reinstall all your apps by hand from market.

No I didnt do anything for it. Its random. Its some sort of first boot up cache/db.
If you have this trouble pulling the battery after first boot fixes it.
Does this come with romracers kernel already in there or do I need to flash it separate? I ask because I see a separate link for it

Repeat the installation instructions 3 * it should work
Installed over 'Working Rogers ICS' ROM, and it worked fine, home button still doesn't work, but screen lock and receiving calls work, so that's two steps forward. I then decided to go for broke and installed 15 toggle, ICS camera, romracer kernel, and agps fix. Something in there broke it, since I lost the background and notification area, I imagine it's the 15 toggle, so I am reflashing the ROM right now. My fault, I know, too ambitious.
Update: reflashed, home button works! Now I just need 15 toggle ICS theme to work, and I'll be running a perfect ROM for me.
everything is awesome except my market keeps FC-ing. any advice, should i just install another ics market over it?
I just keep getting boot loops. Installed it 3 times as per the instructions.
Update: Ok its booting now. i had to do a Dark super wipe. Then i followed the instructions and now its loading. Will report back if i see any other errors.

Ladies & Gentlemen welcome to Starship Triumph. A CM7 based Rom built from Source using G60 final as a base. Heavily Tweaked and designed to be lite-weight, fast and efficient like any good Starship should.
THANKS
The usual cast of characters, Tickerguy, isaacj87, mantera, ziggy46, Austrie, Whyzor, Mobstergunz, b_randon14, Jaay Dogg, sblood86 from the Kindle forums and of curse the Madman G60.

Made sure all base system stuff like Phone,Messaging,Settings and Launcher & what not get top priority,
Modified a few buffer sizes,
Increased scrolling speed just a bit,
increased image quality
Decreased outgoing call pause duration,
A few battery saving tricks like wifi will scan for a network every 180 seconds instead of 90.
Almost forgot, is Themed out the wazoo!
Issues (Slandered expected Triumph CM7 issues)
HDMI does not work (Maybe one day but until that day I say its worth the trade.)
BT or Wi-Fi enabled will prevent deep sleep mode. (Toggle, Toggle, Toggle)
Some videos in portrait mode flickers.

Thanks have been putting together an arsenal of images over the last few months and fitting them together like a jigsaw puzzle. Was so happy with the way things had come together almost sent you a zip to check out late Saturday night. One thing I’m thinking about changing is reversing the star button on the dialer. Think things would look more symmetrical. Going with the transparent dialer buttons had been a last minute decision, did not look out of place when they had been solid. Otherwise probably not as noticeable had I not just pointed it out.
Downloading now ;-)
Dam XDA just sent me a happy birthday email, nothing yet from the other hang out who will not be named.
ROM has been fantastic so far. Very fluid and battery life is way up from the TickerGuy ROM I used to run on my fiancee's Triumph. As of 1.3 the camera still force closes on me when I try to use any functionality in it (like its freezing on open but not force closing until I push a button in the app). Using another camera app like Pudding Camera works just fine.

Just out of curiosity had you been on a previous version of CM7 or Starship before flashing v1.3? If so clearing the App data in the Application settings and wiping Caches may help with the Camera. I haven't had any issues with a clean flash but will restore a backup and then test coming from the previous version and ran into issues doing the above fixed. Also I am a big fan of formatting /system before flashing. Sorry I don't know if this is the case with the above issue but figured I would cover all basis.
Hey Chairshot! Yes I was coming from a previous version of CM7 but I went the fresh install method and went by your directions (Wiped everything out and started from scratch). I was hoping that would work as well! abut unfortunately it hasn't. It did this on a previous CM7 ROM as well. As with the previous ROM, video sources, like Skype, work just fine with the Front facing camera.
Hey not sure what wrong try twice to install went thru all the steps but after reboot stuck at red logo
Would either try doing a full wipe or downloading the .zip again if you had already. Just posted a new .zip so would be a good reason for downloading again. Otherwise the previous .zip was downloaded about 150 times and am pretty sure I would have gotten an ear full had it not booted so one of the above 2 things should work.
Just in general wanted to post this about how to check the MD5. Will let you know if even a single bit is different then the original file. A good thing to get in the habit of doing before flashing, could save some potential grief down the line.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1135620
There is also an App on the Market that can be used to check the MD5 on the phone.

This is correct but still something else is going on because I can verify it boots and again has been flashed many many times by other users without issue. When flashing the .zip in Clockwork are you seeing the progress bar and text on the screen indicating that the package is being installed? Also are you doing a full wipe or coming from another version of Starship or CM7? make sure If coming from another CM7 or any other Rom you will definitely %100 need to wipe data /factory reset. Lastly are you still trying to flash the same .zip or have you download a new copy?? Would recommend not downloading it from your Phone, they always seem to have issues. Other then that I am not sure what else I can suggest as it is definitely not an issue with the Rom. Currently at my Moms trying to clean out her Virus infected computer and even on her Virus infected computer I just downloaded the .zip and it flashed perfectly fine.
Hey and thanks ,yes did see the progress bar but it loads to fast did after reboot noting happens that ok went back to the rom i had before thanks again .

chairshot215, if applicable, can you merge the audio changes from g60madman in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631260
And his 3G fix from this thread:

into Starship? Or let us now if they're not applicable? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
