Media Store for Android? - Android Apps and Games

Does anybody know of a Media Store for Android like iTunes? I just want an app or something for the computer where I can go purchase high quality movies, then put them on my phone. No subscriptions, just a place where I can download movies for like 10 dollars whenever I want. I'm sick of downloading crappy quality movies from the internet. Anybody else with me?

[Q] Media Streaming to Phone

I have been trying to find an app that will allow me to stream music and video's to my phone. I found the GMote app and it worked well for what it is, but it will not play back to my phone any video that isn't .mp4 it seems. AKA - .avi and xvid. Is there some other app that I haven't found that will allow me to steam these to my phone? I did a search through the forums and couldn't really find anything. Thanks in advance.
Bump ^^
Anyone know anything about this or does an app like this just not exist?

Wait for VLC media player

Orb live or plex will do it with a server app installed on the PC. The Android app costs money but the service is fee.

Well Skifta was a damn bust! Only single folders unless you load that CRAP called XMBC on your system and than it's such an awful interface I could not even get a single folder added to the videos.
Has nobody found a good solution for this yet!

[Q] How to play a movie on an android tablet

I have purchased an ePad 2.2 android tablet for my nephew. I've successfully loaded songs and music videos from my iTunes account to a micro sd card. I have been able to play them on the tablet with no issues. I also downloaded a couple of movies but I've been unable to get the movies to play. The odd thing is the file formats for the music videos are the same as the movies, (.m4v). Yet the music videos play and the movies do. I didn't convert any files to different formats. I'm only using the "My Video" app that came installed on the tablet to play the music videos. Yet the "My Video" app won't play the movies. I'm guessing it's because the movies have an index whereas the music videos are just plain videos. Also, to get my iTunes files from iTunes to the 16 gb micro sd card I simply did a drap and drop in folders I created called music, music videos and movies.
I've searched all day and have found nothing to help. Does anyone have any clue how I can get the movies to play? Is there an app I can download? I don't have access to download thru the Android Market. I've been using Amazon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! U can email me at [email protected]. Hopefully I've included enough info to be helpful. Please ask questions if I haven't.
Thanks so much,
Dgj
The standard video app is rubbish but most video players like mx video player for example will play your files. Just try a few free ones and see what you prefer, you may find some at getjar.com which gives you free apps and is a respected site so you will find a lot of market apps free there.

play itunes videos on Android tablet
itunes videos are drm protected, you have to get a DRmare M4V Converter to help you remove DRM. check this: macobserver.com/weekly-sponsorship/sponsor-drmare/

It's because it's country music. Lol j/j
There was another thread around here about some music playing & others that wouldn't. You might have to search for that one...I don't remeber the subforum.

Burn the mp3s to cd then import them from the cd. Even if you convert to mp3 it keeps the stupid itunes drm. Atleast that is how I was able to play some music my brother put on my laptop after I lost his and his wifes passwords.
I suggest you to install the Vplayer or ArcMedia to your phone to play the special MP3s. BTW, if you always rent movies from iTunes, you may interest in keeping iTunes rentals forever.

Transferring movies and videos?

Hey guys this is probably a simple question but I can't figure it out. I have an old iTunes acct and want to dump it but I want to transfer all my movies, music and vids first. Now I transfer some videos just fine but some won't transfer, and my movies won't transfer at all? So what do I got to do?

I know that all iTunes movies are protected by DRM and can't be natively played on non-Apple devices/software. Their music was protected, but they stopped doing that a few years ago, so you might have a mixed bag there. I still use iTunes for the AirTunes remote speakers, so I haven't looked into it, but I'm sure there are some ways around this somewhere on the web.
As for your other videos, I'm guessing those were videos you got from other means than iTunes. I'm thinking that they are in a format your device/software doesn't support. You could look into other players to add that support.

[APP] Airplay video to Android?

I am able to airplay music from my android to apple tv using doublethink, bit I am interested in going the otherway and playing video on my android from iTunes.
This app....
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplayer
...Seems to work, as far as getting my android to appear in iTunes as a device to play to, but crashes once I select it.
Are there other options? What I find are only audio or do what doubletwist does...
Thanks
