Hey everyone,
in reply to vaughnhcky89's request here I started developing a widget.
As more and more people are requesting a separate thread for this, here it is!
Since HTC screwed up the runtime used in Sense-ROMs, the widget will display the day and month names in English only! On AOSP ROMs, the localized name will be shown.
Suggestions now also possible through UserVoice
Manual:
Settings are accessible via click on the left edge of the widget. The main area opens the Alarmclock upon clicking.
Coming up:
* (semi-transparent) background
* More translations for Sense users

thanks for opening a new thread. definitely bookmarking this.
Awesome, keep up the great work!
is it possible to have the widget stretched to the whole width of the screen? i've tried changing it myself yesterday but failed lol.
I'd also appreciate more size options. Oh, and a half-transparent black background option (compare dClock). Oh, and world peace while you're at it
Seriously, mighty fine app.
I'm still sticking to an earlier version though because I don't like the fixed font type right now. I've changed my system font and having a big widget in another font type kinda destroys homescreen aesthetics right now

Darn, I was hoping for that change as well. I wanted to use this as a replacement to the sense clock on my home screen, but it looks silly with a full-sized widget below it.

aww.. too bad then. i love it the way it is, but i prefer it if it's bigger.
any chance you could tell me what i should change in order to make it stretch? i've looked at typoclock_widget.xml in older version and noticed you use absolute layout. so i changed the x- and y-position of every text and scale up the text size a bit. but i got problem when compiling the apk back.. no idea what i did wrong though.

With those older Version it was very easy. Will attach my Mod this evening (old version). Also i will also try to figure out, how to mod the new Version..
OP, can you give some details on your theme/dock/icons? I'd like to know how I can get my phone to look like yours. I love typographic themes!

The TypoClock is amazing, I love it
This is a great clock
The new version won't display diacritics in Czech language (November - říjen)

There are two versions: black & white.
Both are full-sized (4x3 cells), perfect for the use with WidgetLocker.
This it how it looks on my GSM Hero:
I used the older version which uses your systemfont!
So i can't guarantee, that it will fit on every phone - it depends the Font you're using! (Screenshot: DroidSans, default font)
PM/AM-fix is integrated!
Widgets are attached, thanks to Semicuda!
You can also follow me on Twitter!
Thanks for the HDPI Version! Looks great

The dock icons are from here, the dock is attached and the taskbar is this one. The wallpaper is from here and if you use my dock, you'll need an invisible icon for the app launcher, since the ^ is part of the dock. The transparent png is here.

OK... so after a lot of work and experimentations i finally got my device to look the way i want it to.
Since there has been so much changed from my last versions i decided to make a new thread for this one.
Thanks goes out to all the devs for any android device out there.
Special thanks to Stalebread (custom animations), Calkulin (FRG83 port | usb tether hack/MMS fix), Burst (apktool), Konikub (detox theme), Kingclick (Kernel), Jesusfreke (smali/baksmali), Myn (sprint hotspot hack), dsixda (Kitchen), JsChiSurf (Power control widgets mod), all the beta testers (wmdunn, tonwarr.the.incredible, protoadies), and many many more.
Special thanks to wrx4me for his great work on the BootAnimation.
For a quick video of v3.0 of the rom, look HERE (thanks to zedomax.com for the quick covering of the rom).
OK... this rom is fully themed... close to nothing was left untouched.
Custom animations that was originally created by stalebread and modified by me.
About 90% percent of the theme is originally my own creation (besides the icons from konikub detox theme).
i did a lot of work to tweak the system inside the xml's and a couple of jar files which also lead me to the best news.... no more of the famous purplish gray that htc loves so much but probably most of us hate (all is now black, white, or my personal images).
This rom has everything that the stock rom has minus the sprint apps and the htc lockscreen, and plus a few additions. (see changelog)
All the packages have been zipaligned and all images/apks have been optimized using PNGOUT and Optipng for maximum optimizations.
Please note that a full wipe is needed if u coming from a different rom.

Has anything changed from the last beta you sent me? Everything is running very smooth still and flashed beta v3 on my GF's phone this morning also without a single problem. Great to see the thread updated, very nice!

I like it. Is there any way to disable the animation when sliding the lockscreen? It flashes then shows a weather animation. That makes it look choppy weather animations.

mmm... i can switch tha animation with another one in the future... u can disable all the animations from the settings though if u'd like or use spareparts to speed/slow them up/down.
im dont usually use the htc clock... so i never paid attention to it... but i looked now and it doesn't seem so bad...
keep in mind that if u got information syncing right now some things might slow down until its done syncing.

yea... i skinned googlemaps... street... and changed up some tiny things that i saw had issues in the beta 3...
if u not using all of the htc sense apps though... just replace the com.htc.resources.apk, services.jar, and framework-res.apk inside /system/framework/
if u r using sense apps...
u would want to also replace htctwitter.apk and ofcourse some of the apps...
but if u dont feel like it... just save what u want from the old rom and flash... but u will need to wipe cuz i changed/moved some apps.

Thank you for that info! I think the animations were just too fast. I used spare parts to make them slower and it looks like the normal htc fade animation when unlocking. Now to really dig in and test. Looks great though.
Flashed it and looks and feels real smooth. Menu transitions are real nice also...

Sense has too many homescreens so I use launcherPro with quickdesk for my widgets. It's really a shame because I like what you did with the theming of the launcher but I still get the transitions, the stripped down black and white, and the other goodies you packed in here!
Im downloading from megaupload right now file says mikfroyo 2.0 beta 3 not mikfroyo 3.0 am i getting the wrong file?
Edit.
I just answered my question so am downloading from your hotfile link now instead.

yea.... i always get confused between window and transition animations and which one does what...
i think i speed up the wrong one by mistake by default... ill make sure to switch it next time.
it should have been slower on the dialogs/menus/transitions and faster for the flip animations...
nevermind though... its a quick fix i can make or u guys can fix yourselves using spareparts.

Do you want to have your clock included?
If you are a better graphic artist than me and you would like your clock parts included in this application then get in contact! Make sure these graphics are yours and that you are okay with them being used royalty free.
Guidelines:
- The PNG is 294x294 with transparencies.
- Clock face, background and uh... other stuff should fit inside 280x280 (or inside a circle that is 280 across).
- Hands should be in separate graphics (minute, hour) and the pin/center needs to be centered on 147x147.
- I can send some layered guides in layered Gimp (.xcf) or separated into separate PNG format if needed.
To Do/Future/Maybe/Like-to-haves:
DONE - 8 bit graphics, currently using 4bit (ARGB4444) graphics to avoid crashing.
- Option - Choose to launch Android Alarm Clock on next click (Pro?)
- Ability to load local custom images (Pro?)
- Create pop-up notification that asks the user if they want to customize the clock when it is clicked. Dialog would time out after about 2 seconds (configurable?). Would save from accidentally opening clock configuration when using touch screen.
SOME - Clean up graphics and add improved graphics.
- Pro Version? - Possible Pro-options: extended graphics, loading custom images, Date, etc.
DONE - Glass as a separate selection from face and shadow (current problem is that it would require displaying another bitmap. It currently displays one bitmap {built from canvas} under the arms of the clock.)
- Remember user selection after leaving and returning to configuration activity(s)
- Add the current date and/or day of the week and/or month in a few locations on the clock display.
- Add the option of displaying a digital clock (also skin-able?) in a few places on the clock
- Possibility of future clock Packs. These could be themed and also the clock package could be open sourced so that artists do not have to release their clock packs through me, but can publish them directly to the market. Imagine a Minimalist pack, a Deviant Art pack, a Girly pack (you know, hearts, rainbows…)
- Add Easter eggs

At this point the 2x2 clock fits a clear QVGA screen, and the chooser seems to work, even though it is a bit squished. I think my official line is that it 'works' for QVGA, but is not currently supported.
The clocks them selves should work on any resolution screen (though they should not be stretched past a 4x4 icon space). But the chooser is not optimised for very high or very low resolution, but should work just fine.
I have released 0.3 of the clock and will update the first post today. Version .04 should be coming out before new year and will contain clearer clock edges and higher color graphics to support better gradients.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Ok, please enable it in market for QVGA. Now I'm tested, it works correctly for all sizes (2*2, 3*3, 4*3).
Thank you!
Installed and running very well on HTC Desire, Thanks, and Have a great christmas..
Could be a seasonal theme, possibility..
barcode is not working, rapidshare has reached limit???
Would love to download but like previous post RapidShare has reached limits and QR code not working.
This looks great, I was able to make one look exactly as I wanted. Only thing holding me back from using it is no access to alarms when tapping it like the stock clock widget. If you could add in this functionality it would probably immediately be the best clock widget on the market and worth paying a couple bucks for.
I can't find it in the market and i can't download it. Could've you upload it to xda?

I'll second this comment -- the typical use case for a clock widget is to fiddle around with it for a while until you get one you like, after which you probably won't change it for a while. Once it is set up, it's much more convenient to be able to access the alarm when you tap on the clock.
If the widget provided easy access to the alarm, I would definitely use it since the clocks themselves look great!

Sorry guys. it should be available from the market. Just search for Custom Clock. Should be right at the top. I will have to check the links and either fix (or remove) the Rapid Share link. I will also try to upload the newest version.
Love the 'thanks' messages and the screenshots! i would love to see more screenshots! Maybe I will upload my current. Home.
I am hoping to release a newer version soon, and hopefully it it might be ready for 1.0 releasise. When that happens I may keep the AD supported option with fewer options and graphics. Then release an AD free version with full options for $2, $1 or maybe $.50. LOL
Working on some new graphics and adding a Glass option for the next release. v1.0 I hope to have completely costomizable colors, and maybe the options to load a user chosen graphic for the Face.

Wonderful. I look forward to seeing this evolve. 1x1 would be a great option for those sensitive to screen flora
Btw. Search market for "custom clock widget" and it will rise above the pay for dross that it renders obsolete.

Ha!. Thank you.
I will consider a 1x1 widget if I get enough requests. I did not want to clutter it up too much. (BTW it resizes well from 4x4 to 1x1 if you are using a custom launcher like ADW or Launcher pro.)

You probably familiar with the Great Secret of Life.If not, well thats OK.
Every biocell aligned in harmony with organism.
Every organism aligned in harmony with ecosystem
Every ecosystem aligned in harmony with earth
Every planet aligned in harmony with universe
Even the steering axle wheels is in alignment with your car (hopefully) lol
Now YOUR EVO is a TOTAL CHAOS and OUT OF ALIGNMENT!!!
How do we fix it?
step 1, install rom
step 2, open terminal, type "su" (terminal emulator included in Plutonium)
step 3, press accept
step 4, type "a2sd zipalign"
step 5, profit!
As a result you'll get that harmony (better RAM usage and smooth ROM performance)

Looks nice. Tap to open app is cool. I will be honest. Right now it's just like every other digital clock out there. Some things I can see that may set you apart.
1. A different name. everything is named "X clock" name it something like "Tom's Super Sexy Timepiece of the Future"
2. Add a feature to adjust scale. I have a big open space on my home screen for a nice free digital clock.
3. Integrate a multi-alarm system and/or datebook depending upon your level of ambition
4. Animations? Have a little man in a funny suit blow a horn on the screen when the alarm goes off and you have to punch the little [email protected]#tard to shut off your alarm
5. Multi-language? I dont speak any others but I have heard some people do
6. Borders around the clock
7. ability to control font and scale of date separately
who the hell am I? Lol. Looks nice, will continue using it. Does it auto-update?

Hello forum users XDA;
Here I am holding a new topic for the development of LauncherAdvanced now done with open source - thanks AnderWeb.

What would LauncherAdvanced?
It would be a launcher with the intention of being lightweight, fast and beautiful for our android devices, it is used for open sources AnderWeb (ADW developer), enjoy all the modifications that will be made from source to you.
This launcher is intended to be small package and less RAM can use, so do not expect unusual things, but necessary for a launcher customized it.

What do you mean when you say you deleted folders? I have access to folders still, they're just not as visibly attractive as on adw.

Very fast, stable, and Smooth on Galaxy SL I9003, thanks
I tested on my HTC desire Z and this is nice! Look good, stable. Thanks!
I said that when they procure delete the folders, I meant that blacked out some values of languages that are not needed and left it lighter.
Some ideas to still going?
My opinion: Keep on android path, dont do what tsf did for example..going some completely different way compared to what google proposes...
Start looking on what Holo Launcher do..what ADW new version itself did..
And then start to improve..improve..improve..try to make it as fast as possible..as stable as possible..
I really like to try new launchers..i change mine launcher almost every week..and still not find some launcher that fit everything i want...maybe it could be borning here =D
Good luck on development! =)
Just to know..you will keep it open source?
depends what you mean by keeping it open?
The launcher code I mean
yes, I'll keep it open, out of respect for AnderWeb. : Cool:
Version 0.7 available for download, please be kind enough to pass tests and all possible subjects for further, hugs to all.
For me all work well. On GB 2.3.7 no FC or lags.

Hello forum users MadTeam;
Here I am holding a new topic for the development of LauncherAdvanced now done with open source - thanks AnderWeb.
Last version - Version 0.7 date 2012/12/03
My source - thanks AnderWeb -> Source LauncherAdvanced
What would LauncherAdvanced?
It would be a launcher with the intention of being lightweight, fast and beautiful for our android devices, it is used for open sources AnderWeb (ADW developer), enjoy all the modifications that will be made from source to you.
The intention is to always meet the demands considering having the lightweight launcher, do not ask me to put various wallpapers and functions that are not needed.

Would it be possible to add option in app drawer to group apps alphabetically in vertical mode like it is in 360 Launcher?
