Guys,
I'm after something I'm not sure exists. I use LauncherPro and use the "Friends" widget to show the Facebook and Twitter feed (scrollable) on one of my screens.
The downside however is that you can't post a pic/video from here. You must use a different application which means having all your tweets/status downloaded again. just isn't tidy!
So my question is, is there an application out there that houses a wdiget that shows Twitter/Facebook timeline (scrollable) and allows you to post natively from the application, pictures/videos/links?
Tweetdeck does this however the widget to view the feeds is shocking and shows next to nothing!
Any help greatly appreciated

I recently bought the Touch Pro (my first WM device after using Palm for years), and I am happy with most of it. What I just do not understand is why the calendar is so limited. You can merely view the month and scroll through months. To actually view appointments or change them you have to open the calendar app. This is totally ridiculous! The calendar screen should be the interface to reading your appointments and interacting with them. I have searched the forums to see if anyone has added this capability but have found nothing. I would be happy to pay for a PIM that truly integrated with the TouchFlo screen. I appreciate the modifications that you guys have done to the appearance (changing dates, adding themes etc), but I do not understand why someone cannot modify the calendar page so it shows the live calendar app as it were. If someone has done this and I have not found it, then sorry for making this comment - please direct me to it. If this cannot be done, then there has to be a better launcher than TouchFlo out there, and I would appreciate someone directing me to it.
With thanks from a complete beginner...
The app you need to replace the calendar with one of your own in TF3D is here:

I too have used Palm and Agendus for many years.
I tried Agendus on WM but was very disappointed at the performance.
I am now using Pocket Informant.
Thanks for this. I successfully ran the program and now when I click on the word 'Calendar' on the home page, PocketInformant opens (thanks for the tip, taninu, it looks really good).
But this is not really what I meant. On my Touch Pro, I have a tab which displays a static calendar (if I edit using DiamondTFD, it is called 'unknown' so maybe this is not standard in Europe?). It is this calendar that I would like to display PocketInformant. I noted the below post, which I wonder is maybe referring to the same question? In any case, do others have that calendar tab? (same level as home, people, weather, MP3, mail, internet, call history, SMS, settings, programs, photos - 12 in all).

Another point we're all looking for, is to change the calendar elements management on Home tab.
Can't wait for your next release.
I was searching now 2 days for it. Finally I found that the element-management is damn hardcoded:
- 1 AlldayElement
- 1 CurrentElement
- 1 NextElement
Patching smt like this is some level too high for me.. I'm sorry..
I've always been a confused, badly organized guy, and my head is one big chaotic mess. Since I wont carry a paper agenda all the time, I've recently bought a smartphone (SGS2), mainly to keep things organized and structured.
The problem is, for each task there's a different app. Now I've got a zillion apps, and I wonder if that's the best way to structure/organize things.
I currently use on my android phone:
- Jorte Calender synched with Google Calender.
- Dropbox to sync files between different platforms
- Evernote for my journal/notes/to-do list.
- QuickPic to view my pictures (normal pictures and pictures of paper documents) and video's.
- Opera is my main browser and I use the build-in bookmarker. The bookmarks are synched between my phone and my pc.
- Build in sms/contact Touchwiz app for my contacts
- Gmail app for my mail and mail addresses.
- etc
I want to reduce the number of apps to get things done easier and faster. You guys know any all-in-one apps that are capable of many of the listed tasks? Or could you explain how you structure things?
EDIT: Sometimes I don't even know what app I should use for certain things.
For example: I'd like to make a list with my favorite movies. Should I do this with evernote?
Or: I've got something scheduled and used my calender app for that, but I also need to make a few notes about that appointment. Do I use my calendar, or a notebook app like evernote?
Thanks in advance.
Jochem
What do you guys suggest?
I would just use evernote for everything! Why do you make such a mess with apps? Just get used to ONE app, and you should be fine
There is as of now, no "multi-app" that can do ALL of your tasks. Unfortunatly, I think you'll have to use the apps the way you already are. Unless you want to root your phone, and install a custom ROM that has some sort of "multi-app"
Hello.
Seeing as how I'm new here, I cannot yet post this information regarding the Minimal Reader Pro thread in the Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games area. If there's an admin that feels that the following should be moved to that area, please feel free.
Concerning auto and manual refresh problems:
I experienced the same problems described in most recent posts in the thread, and have so far been able to perform manual and automatic refreshes to draw new feed items into the widget by consolidating all of my feeds under a single folder (label) in Google Reader.
I have local news, Engadget Mobile, CNET, CNN, and Yahoo news all filed under simply "News" in Google Reader, and now the widget refreshes without issue. Three refreshes 30 minutes apart produced new unread items for each individual feed.
I would prefer to keep the feeds separate in Google Reader, but hopefully my workaround will provide the developer some insight into what's going on with the app. I'll post meaningful updates as I have them to share.
Cheers,
C.
I have been looking for a today dock app that will pop-up when I place my phone in it's dock at daytime. I want something that displays upcoming appointments, tasks/todos (all from exchange/google calendar), aggregated news (custom rss) and aggregated social (facebook, tweeter etc).
I've created a mockup to show you what I want. Anyone know of such a software or perhaps wants to create one?
Hi guys, there are four Android apps that I would like to recommend to you!
Spotify: Spotify maybe the most popular music streaming services in the past several years. With enormous number of songs, this app enable users not only listen to the songs they like, but also create their own playlist of their favorite songs. In addition, users could also get updated album reviews from large music publications, such as Rolling Stone. As a result, this could improve the customer satisfaction about this app, which makes this app so popular in the market.
Flipboard: Flipboard is my favorite news reading app in Google Play market. With millions of users around the world, Flipboard is probably one of the most popular apps in recent years. I love this app, because it provides a personalized miniature magazine out of everything that I am interested. In addition, I can also create magazines and add more content from websites to my Flipboard, which is quite interesting. Moreover, adding and deleting items on Filpboard are quite easy and I can also share my magazine with my friends on Twitter or Facebook .All these functions make this app stand out from ordinary news reading apps.
MoWeather: MoWeather is the app of the year in my Galaxy S3. MoWeather is both pretty and functional. The app background is not only beautiful but also animated, which I believe is much better than Yahoo Weather. The 15-day-forecast could help people plan their holidays or business traveling a lot easier. In addition, the real-time photos shared by people around the world could also provide timely weather condition in those places. As a result, this has changed the way that people using a weather app, which makes this app more popular.
Evernote: I use Evernote to synchronize notes of all kinds, such as voice memos, pictures and PDF files. The app is amazing, all the notes are not only accessible from Evernote applications and website, but also highly searchable and tagable. The new version of Evernote improved the navigation function of this app, which enables app users to access recent notes, tags, and shortcuts quickly. I will refer to Evernote, every time when I want to take a note or search for documents that I need. I put Evernote in my dock and it has become one of the most popular apps in my Galaxy S3.
How do you guys think those apps, looking forward to your comments!
What's the point in suggesting 3 very popular apps and a non popular weather app?
