There are many other post. You can use CWM to disable Voodoo by scrolling to voodoo section and setting lagfix to off . Then flash the .zip of the kernel, then the rom. Depending on what you flash, should update CWM.
How you should i update CWM?
get the .zip of the CWM version you want to update to. Reboot into recovery and install zip from sdcard.
Should i go back to stock with this file, before i change kernels,CMW and ROM?

No you don't have to.
The Clockwork Mod Recovery *last updated 7.10.11 comes as a .tar file. Did I download the wrong file?

the .tar files are flashed thru odin. you'll see pda button. Click it, find the .tar you downloaded. make sure a second time that your file is in the pda spot, click start. let odin do its thing.
Hope this helps.
CWM
I followed the youtube video by originaldobo to root my phone. The .tar file he recommended to flash thru odin was the ABeastA3_DXC.tar.md5
Should i flash the CMW - Clockwork Mod Recovery (imnuts) *last updated 7.10.11 or just keep the the status quo?
Can someone please link me to a working gingerbread infuse kernel flashable in odin? I lost root and recovery with the new beta leak, and I need help.
so your in a Boot Loop?
and i believe you can take the CWM Zip and extract it and find the kernel file in there for Odin. take your Pick.
Sorry for the noob questoin, I've searched and cant find it anywhere. Could someone please point me in the direction for the stock kernel? I'm rooted and on 8.5.5.13 with blades kernel. I am trying to update to .18 with CWM but it fails becaues I dont have completly stock firmware.
Thanks
You can get the stock kernel from the asus website. It's packaged up in the 8.6.5.13 rom in the blob.LNX file. Flashing it might be a little tricky. I think the easiest would be to apply the stock rom, then update, then re-root. You won't lose data.
If you have cwm, the update might fail unless you mount the staging partition. Roach's version of cwm might do this for you.
You can also flash the update through adb.

Worked great thanks
I would really like to know if this is possible. having issues and thinking of going back to stock. can anyone tell me how to specifically install voodoo on stock kj2 firmware?
I found a post in the dev section that has a flashable kernel with voodoo. possible to flash that kernel to stock rooted firmware?
I went back to stock, rooted, installed clockworkmod, flashed the bali kernel, and now i have voodoo and it is awesome! had i known all about voodoo and known i could have it just by flashing a kernel, I never would have flashed a custom rom.
I want to install a different kernel on my n8013 but want to be able to go back to the latest stock kernel (which is included with Darkman's latest n8013 deodexed stock ROM). I've looked around for a flashable zip of just the stock kernel for the CMD3 build of the ROM but can't find one.
If I run a backup in TWRP and only check "boot," will that be enough?
Or, can I just grab the "boot.img" located in the root of the ROM's zip file? (if yes, how do I turn into a flashable zip?)
Basically, I want to be able to go back to my stock kernel without have to re-flash the entire ROM or reinstalling an entire backup.

If you are running TWRP you just need to backup "boot".
