[Q] Bluetooth DUN CLIENT?

Hello,
I have a nook color and a "dumbphone" (samsung s5600) which has 3G and bluetooth, but no wifi. On my ipod touch, i use an app called iBluever to share my phone's 3g connection over bleutooth to my ipod touch.
I've searched and searched, but couldn't find an android app to do that. There is one PDAnet, but your phone has to be an android phone too, in order to work because you can't enter APN info in the client app.
Does someone know an app to let me share my dumbphone's 3G connection over bluetooth to my android tablet?

Not sure if your phone can create the PAN socket needed, but if so...
I think my phone supports PAN, so this should be perfect!
But i can't download it from the market. It gives me a download error every time it try. Can someone provide a link to an apk?
Solved the problem and installed the app.
But how do you setup a PAN network? Is there a J2ME app for thatN

"cloud" service video stream no wifi

Hello to all,
Does anyone know of an application or service that allows you to take videos from your home computer and allow you to stream those videos on an android device without having to be connected to the same wifi network?
I've searched around, and the only options that I've been able to find are those such as Skifta, TVserity, etc where you NEED to be connected to the same wifi network as the pc with the files. Those options work wonderfully.
However I'm looking for something more similar to Google Music where you upload your music, and are then able to access your music anywhere, through the carrier network or through another network
Basically, I'd like to be able to watch (stream) the videos I have on my computer anywhere that I go, without having to fill up the memory on my phone
Any ideas?

Get familiar with using VPN services like Logmein or Jump Desktop. That's about it.

[Q] Tether Application Without Internet Connection

Hi,
I have minecraft pe on my tablet. Usually, I need to play multi player with other people in places without wifi. On honeycomb, I solved this using the tethering setting. However, on ics this setting does not work. I have downloaded lots of wifi tethering applications ( like FoxFi) but they all required an active internet connection. My question if there is a tethering app that does not require an active internet question in order to be used.
(Btw, I'm on AOKP milestone 5)
Bluetooth or WIFI direct works pretty well to setup a LAN connection. Or search for a LAN app in the market.

Is there any way to use mobile data while connected to home wifi network

Hey guys, I've searched and seen similar questions asked with no clear answer. I live in an area where my the internet speed is extremely slow. My mobile data is much faster and allows me to stream videos, music etc. However, in order to connect with all of my other devices on my home wifi network (chromecast, roku etc.), I'm forced to use the terrible wifi internet speed instead of my mobile data. Is there any way around this? Apps, hacks etc?
You could possibly try a teathering app. That might work. I Hope This Helped in any way.

My home Internet is extremely slow and the only carrier available in my area. It's too slow to use any streaming services
How about Wi-Fi router with sim card support?

Nox / Google Maps / Proxy question

My use case requires me to use a proxy to connect to the internet. I'm running Nox on a laptop and have configured the Wi-Fi "WiredSSID" with my proxy information. I'm using a few apps inside it one of which is Google Maps. Apparently, most apps won't connect to the internet with this configuration but I've noticed that Chrome works just fine. Is there a way to set this up correctly so that Google Maps and other apps will work? Right now my only workaround is using my iPhone as a hotspot and getting the mobile 4g data from that straight to the laptop but its not an ideal solution due to poor speeds in my area.
