HTC PHONESI know we love them and I am sure this has been asked but if it hasn't how many HTC phones have you owned. I will start.
Blue Angel
Universal

Excalaber

Rhodium

And if it wern't for this site I would have not had all these.
For those who don't believe me my work phones have been Sprint and T-Mobile but I have AT&T. I was totally bummed when I bought the universal just to find out 3g wasn't the same $1000 down the tubes. Remember don't lie.
Mmm...
I think I have replied to this question before...
I own/owned:

Well, until now i've only owned the HTC Touch Diamond 2 [Topaz]
And with CHT 2.0 it's a great phone
But soon i have my Desire HD [Ace] Can't wait for it!
I just started but i'll probably never leave HTC, i love the phones
How many? Hmmm..
O2 XDA Terra --sold after about 1 year of usage---
HTC Diamond touch 2 ---sold after about 1 year, I wanna get a newer one---
HTC Hero ---sold after about 1 year, I wanna get a newer one---
HTC Legend ---given to my bro---
HTC Desire ---taken away by my sister just 2 days ago ---
That makes 6
htc phones I've owned
Well my love of HTC started with HTC StarTrek (Cingular 3125 ) It was an awesome experience at the time. Smallest winmo device it was.... . sold after couple of years.
Then I got a Palm Treo 750 (made by HTC). Sold after a year.
Then I got a HTC s730. It was a sliding non-touch winmo device. I've used this till it died.
For a very short time I used HTC tattoo... Then returned it and got me a HTC Wildfire. Right now this is my phone. But hopefully, after a year, I will get a new one. I am not sure which platform though... I want to try Win7 but at the same time, android is great. It is what Palm should have evolved in to. Ease of use etc...Bravooo Google.. We will see I guess what it will be. Curiousity or satisfaction...Hope it won't kill the cat !!!
First the HTC (qtek) Wallaby.. Sold that in eeum, 2008 for 150 euro's (I was not expecting that much, but hey if they give me 150 euro's why shouldnt I sell it )
And now have the HTC Wildfire
startek
I liked that I could run the full os on startek
hmmm i dont use htc
I had 3 HTC phones so far:
Project Amy 6.0 (HTC HD2 "Leo" T9193) [Sold]
Project Amy 7.0 (HTC Desire "Bravo A8183) [My current phone]
Project Jet 2.0 (HTC Touch Diamond "Diamond" DIAM130) [Sold]
I also had borrowed a iMate JASJAM (HTC Hermes 100) and that phone was the biggest piece of $#!+ in the world, it made nitroglycerine look stable. I HATE THAT PHONE!! Heck it still played up after trying different radios and cooked ROMs.
I've also used an HTC Universial (wanted one at the time), HTC Kovsky, HTC Maple, HTC Panther and an HTC Raphael. Although that Kovsky was a bit wonky, the keyboard wasn't real crash hot on it, but it worked pretty good.
Tytn 2-still laying around

hey guys,
My first touch phone was an iphone (first generation), and back then i hadn't heard of HTC lol.
so, I want to what was your first touch screen phone and give some details also
Mine was an HTC device, the Blue Angel. Details of it are here:- http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel
It was that device that enticed me to join XDA Devs. I owned other non-touch HTC devices before that one.
Now i'm onto android with the HTC Desire and loving it so far
My first was a Samsung F480L....
Mine was a g1... had winmo non touch screen before that

mine ws motoRocker by Motorola.. 2007.
Still going gr8
Blue-angel, still fully working
Mine was the O2 XDA Orbit: http://www.my-xda.com/devices/xda_orbit.jsp
Knackered the screen at the end of its life, went all fuzzy from being pressed against my keys in my pocket....never again...lol
mine was htc touch diamond...purchased right here at xda marketplace...
SE Xperia X1. first 6 months using it was a joy. slowly it broke down and died.
my first touch phone is the HTC Desire (dont laugh)
my previous phone was a Samsung G600 slide/camera phone
First touch screen was Samsung Omnia I900 (really wish i had picked HTC..)
Second, Third ... Samsung Omnia I8910 (thought I would have learnt! - getting a Forth tonight as the other 2 have all had the same firmware issues!)
But, I have *upgraded* to the HTC Touch (Elf 64/128)... Its funny how a 3 year old device beats the newer samsung phone...
Sony Ericsson M600i, going back a fair while now ('06 I think), followed by a TyTN 2
lol
first touchscreen phone was a htc universal.. with a broken mini usb jack had to charge using a external charger.. got annoyyed sold it and bought a htc prophet now hate that too so getting a htc desire
Mine was the Palm phone on Sprint.....waaaay back in 2002.......
Palm Treo 750 =)
it was really special to have a touchscreen phone back then, shame its so mainstream now...
mine qtek 9100 then htc wizard (almost the same) then htc diamond then another diamond but 850 mhz 3g then iphone 3g, samsung omnia, and now an hd2 and a iphone 3gs
Sony ericsson w800
PPC6700 (HTC Apache), but it wasn't my first PPC. That would have been the original Compaq iPAQ from 2000 which was my first color PDA. My first touchscreen device was a Palm III I bought used in 1999.
I am so close to getting my entire family on HTC devices.
I have a TP2, daughter has an Eris, Son getting an Imagio.
The wife wants an Android phone but she (like me) needs a physical keyboard.
Of all the Android devices HTC has put out, why are there so few with physical keyboards (both on T-Mobile at that).
UGH...
Now she is leaning towards a Moto Droid... .
Not only on young Android
for WM too
Hope last qt2010 we can see something
What about this one?

Tmobile my touch slider
Every major carrier has an HTC WinMo device with a keyboard. That being the TouchPro2 is carrieried by the big 4 and some of the smaller carriers too, whereas TMO is the only US carrier to offer HTC Android devices with a keyboard.

True, but verizon does have the droid.... If you really must have HTC then idk...
HTC Wildfire may has QWERTY keyboard...
MOTO milestone and ME600 also have QWERTY keyboard.
QWERTY keyboard is unnecessary for me.
The Wildfire doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard. It's like a baby made of Momma Nexus and Papa Desire.

Thank you.
PC70110=HTC Wildfire?
In China, many sites say PC70110(or Wildfire, you can visit:http://www.pdafans.com/article-6189-1.html) has QWERTY keyboard......
The PC70110 is not the Wildfire. The picture is the Wildfire. The PC70110 looks has a keyboard like a TouchPro2.
Interesting phone although.
I literally just posted this in another forum today, but I completely agree. I am dumbfounded by the lack of an HTC Android QWERTY. Then again, looking at the history, it could be on its way in 4th quarter. Granted, these were almost all WinMo phones, but still...
HTC's Verizon release schedule for example:
Keyboard
HTC Harrier - November 2004
HTC Apache - February 2006 (odd delays, believe me, I remember)
HTC Titan - December 2007
HTC Raphael - November 2008
HTC Rhodium - September 2009
No Keyboard
HTC Vogue - April 2008
HTC Diamond - April 2009
HTC Droid Incredible - April 2010
Seems like a pretty obvious pattern to me. Sometime in 4th quarter most likely, but I'd love to see some more leaked info soon. In the past, we've typically already seen the first in the wild shots, FCC info, etc... Nothing so far, which has me thinking I'll end up with the Droid 2.
I will say that I'm getting closer to being comfortable moving away from a hardware QWERTY. I am definitely switching to an Android device this fall, and with multi-touch keyboards and Swype, I'm feeling a little more confident in the transition. Big step though, had a hardware keyboard since 2004.

Well it is moot now. We ended up getting my wife an LG Ally
I think most hardware companies think it's all about getting the latest chips and screens, slapping it in any old case, and getting it on the market. Keyboards take time and effort to design. This is also why just about every non-Apple phone is painful to look at.

Oh, HTC already has the design of the near-perfect keyboard (Touch Pro2). The fact that they haven't put it on an Android device is what boggles my mind.

Agreed....
Honestly, I thought I'd never replace my G1 without having a new hardware keyboard. Wife had a few free upgrades so we got our new MT3GS's, and I've used the keyboard maybe 10 times in the weeks I've had it. SWYPE has made me a believer, I will probably never use the keyboard again unless SWYPE is not available.

I couldn't deal with it, so to the TP2 I went.
Hi everyone, I have been wondering what people think is the best phone on the market and why?
This thread is designed for those who want to purchase a new phone, but don't want to buy something that is only hyped and has no substance. By the people, For the People!
Please state the phone and your reason why it is your personal favorite. (Note: It could be any phone, even the iPhone 4.)
Thanks To all those who post!
I thought the Motorola Dynatac 800X was pretty coollio, last week!
My favorite phone by all means is (because I own it) HTC HD2. Mines is a TMOUS, but if you are planning on buying one get the world version its universal. Here is a video (not mine) on why the HD2 is better than iPhone 3GS in versus type explanation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9cOMoouatY&feature=related . The HD2 is a versatile device. It has the capability of running Windows Mobile 6.5, Windows Mobile 6.5.x, and new to the device many versions of android. I personally enjoy its big 4.3 inch screen. It has a pretty good 5 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash.
Exception: The phone overheats alot!
That's funny,

There are way to many phones out there to choose from. Money is also a variable. I have a HTC Doual Touch and I am happy with it for now. I am aware that it is not the best but it is good enough.

Whats funny is this was a monutmental breakthrough in cellular phones. The precvious model looked like a car battery with a phone on top. My neighboor got the first car/cell phone ever made and showed it off to the neighboorhood. It was funny because no one ,,,, got it. No one understood what that big ass cynderblock represented and what it would lead too. So when ever I see the older cell phones I think back to the original and laugh thinking, if you'd been carrying that car battery the past 2 years this thing looks like its from startrek.
I here there will be a new Brick just around the corner

my favorite is the htc hd2 too, but thats because i love winmo, and i love the option to boot android too (wich works just awsome, better then i thought).
but for a totaly new person, i wouldnt recommend to buy a winmo 6.5 phone, cause that OS is sadly dying more and more, and the hd2 will probably the last winmo device.. ;(
i would wait for a new phone to come out..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=599210
I'd go for the hd2, I don't own it. But I like the device.
sent from my x10i that is banging for a 2.1 upgrade. ...
Now i have a motorola dext. pretty good phone, really.
But i love the NexusOne and the HD2, if i have money i buy one.
I love my HD2. Even before I Android running on it. WinMo is smooth as silk on it. I love options too.
I love my diamond,if i have money i would buy a desire!
Well, mine is the Desire.I own it,I love Android,I love the device itself and would recommend it to everyone!
Thanks for the Replies

Heh...mine took hours to charge and in 5 minutes it was dead...lol Actually, though, I couldn't get a whole day on a charge. And that was with all wireless off and in standby. New battery didn't solve it. And the UI was horrendous. I almost wanted someone to beat me to a pulp for buying it.
With the announcement of Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS everyone was wondering if their current device would see it or not. Manufacturers were quick to announce as to what phones of theirs would see this brand new OS. HTC was no different as they announced what of their phones made the cut on their Facebook page way back in November. Well they continue their Facebook announcements by announcing specifics on upgrade timing as well as announcing other HTC phones that are going to make the cut.
According to this announcement the HTC phones that made the cut include the HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD. They join the list of phones that will receive the update “later this year.” That’s right they join the likes of the Rezound, Vivid, Amaze 4G, EVO 3D and EVO Design 4G.
HTC also announced that the Sensation, Sensation 4G and Sensation XE will see their upgrade by the end of March this year. The Sensation XL will see its taste of ICS “soon there after.”
While you can get some unofficial ICS ROMs for those unlocked HTC phones it’ll be nice to see some of them getting it in an official capacity. Those with the Sensation, or a variation of, can look forward to some ICS goodness here in the next month and a half. Enjoy!
