DIY: The ROM Kitchen for Pharos
base on Pharos Official ROM 1.11.707.1
I have released a ROM Kitchen for Pharos at PDA Mobiz month ago.
Since there is somebody asking for a kitchen, I think it may be useful to post it here too.
This kitchen was created from the Pharos Official ROM 1.11.707.1 which I have already posted here.
DIY was created to be a clean and very flexible kitchen; it has not been optimized for speed.
By the way, I haven't said that it is not fast.
What do you need?
An Official ROM; you need to extract OS.nb to be used with DIY.
I haven't included it in DIY because I want to reduce size of file needed to be downloaded.
You also need an Official ROM if you had trouble flashing your device, just in case.
To download: Visit Pharos Official ROM 1.11.707.1 Thread.
pof's NBHExtract; you need it for extracting above Official ROM.
To download: Visit NBHextract: Extract contents from NBH files Thread.
DIY; Download: DIY-1.11-1.0.rar from RapidShare (55MB).
Setup the DIY
The DIY can be extracted and placed any where on your computer, no matter it is XP or Vista.
You just need .Net 2 ...
After that, use NBHExtract to extract the RUU_Signed.nbh from the Official ROM.
You will get a file call 04_OS.nb along with few others.
Rename the 04_OS.nb to OS.nb and place it under ~\DIY\Build\ROM folder.
How to build ROM?
Well, there are three batch files;
1.BuildOS.bat, you can choose OEM(s) you would like to include in your build.
2.CreateOS.bat.
3.htcROMTool.bat.
And it is as easy as 1-2-3.

Special thanks to bepe, pof, esteve and many other developers who started the game we are playing.
Special thanks to Ru Chonburi (ruchonburi) who create the SPL for unlocking our Pharos.
Special thanks to vivi, hong1201 and many other friends at PDAMobiz.
I hope this DIY inspire you as Noonski's did to me.

Allow me to reserve this for future use ...
another Reserved
just in case ...
great work, suracha!
thank you a lot!
thanks!
and I have a question, how can I translate the ROM in another language (chinese)?
I would like to get a english rom and translate it in chinese.
China ROM
Well, I have never worked with any ROM other than WWE.
If I were you, I would extract ROM again from Official Chinese ROM. I think I saw some of them in this Pharos forum.
yeah, but the CE OS and the build versions of chinese official rom is so old, I don't like it
Seems that Chinese rom is different form wwe...
but i just wanna ask how can i make a "start pic" rom only
Why there is not so much guys use pharos
How can I add other Tools to be cooked straight into the ROMs, like Advanced Configuration 3.1?
Also, how can it be translated to German?
must be very difficult
but i also think i saw same german roms in this forum
I posted in Tornado, since that would be the port I'm interested in, but I imagine a new ROM would be appealing to all Smartphone users.
Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard
CE OS 5.2.19593 (Build 19593.1.1.7)

The Pantech flasher extracts a number of files from the PBF. I've packaged up the files and a download link is now on the original thread. Hope that helps!

Thank you very much.
I had successfully dumped the rom.
you can use prepare_imgfs *.pbf -nosplit to get a imgfs.bin
then dump to OEM and SYS.
I am cooking a new Vox rom with it.
thank you for your rom.
I'm not familiar with what it takes took cook a rom but is it possible to use this rom to make something compatible with the Motorola Q9h?
I am looking for a copy of Da_G's newest kitchen uploaded to somewhere other than rapidshare, it keeps telling me my ip is being used and very much annoying me. If anyone can link me or tell me of another kitchen hosted somewhere other than rapidshare I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance
Do you have the old kitchen files? If so, then I may have the update for you.
Hi everybody i have a benq e72 and i flashed it many times. And now i want to cook a rom for special to me. Can someone who has got kitchen send me and tell me how can i cook a rom?
Sorry for my bad English. I'm Turkish.
I don't know how to Cook so don't ask me how, but I can provide you with the kitchen.
http://trinest.com/BenqE72Kitchen.rar
If you do figure out how to use it, release a rom based off the current build of Win Mobile, English etc. The community for the BenQ hasn't been updated for a long long time with a new release for various reasons.
Thank you so much I wish someone know how to use this.

The new XIP is from your 23017 XIP
And could you tell me how do you port it?
Spiaatie? Could you tell me how could you port xip?
Try this one.
Copy files to ROM folder and insert in os.nb by running ''INSERT_XIP.bat''
To port XIPs you can use software from [here]
Thank you! It works but in Settings>About build is still 21812.
