This looks great, I only have two questions, any issues in building the ROM or adding packages that have already had tadzio tools applied?
In your opening post you mentioned that you are able to use with any device with small modifications, what are these for a Hermes if any?

None that i know of. It shouldn't have any problems.
But i strongly reccomend that if you don't have a HTC Wizard to ask before you try and do anything.
It's written also in the tutorial
I don't take credit for some of the applications that are included in this kitchen ... like bepe's package tool , tadzio's modified mamaich tools...and of course some of the 3rd party apps.
I take the credit only for the whole thing....i busted my ass of to gather all that and make them easy to use
The moddifications :
Almoust all programs are included already. I would only have to edit some batchfiles to use other programs or other commands for same.
If you know what you are doing, you could use it yourself
For Hermes there are some neat stuff in Tools\TTools - thx to tadzio of course
We use one RUU you use another....stuff like that
One friend of mine built an Terra ROM with this...it's not that hard

Hermes Please

First question, tried to dump ROM and I am getting an error
Error ! There is no nk.nbf in the core/extract/source
I place the ROM NBH in that folder, originally was name RUU_signed.nbh, I tried to rename to nk.nbh, didn't matter.
I am using a hermes.

and I will do it for the Hermes too, but be litle patient.
You should use the "Dump nb and bin" and use the "Extra" way
The HTC Wizard uses a nk.nbf ..not a nbh. so...extract the .nb and run it thru the Dump nb and bin ... the extra option
You could extract the .nb with the little app in Tools\TTools\Tadzio\ ROMBaker.exe
You have to rename the *.nb into OS.nb and move it into Extract\ folder
It will split....but you won't be able to make it back unless you edit the
C:\Core\Tools\Batch\Create_ROM.bat according to your device....

The .nbh has to be extracted by nbhextract.exe in "tools" folder. then you will recieve os.nb, splash.nb, spl.nb etc
the os.nb can be placed in "extract" folder and then dump it by using "dump .nb and .bin" from extract panel.

Yes, correct
but he has to use the "extra" option in "Dump .nb and .bin"
his rom is different ..anyway...i will make it work for hermes too, just give me a day

so as of now, this will or will not work for the Wing? my device isn't CID Unlocked but i'd love to donate back to this site by creating a rom especially since this seems very easy with your kitchen. i don't wanna mess up anything so please let me know if this version works with the wing also or if its one of the new ones your making soon, thank you

I cooked a terra rom with this - by using the wingdump imgf_raw.bin and the xip from terra rom. you dump the rum by using "dump .nb and .bin"
The only mistake i did - was editing the .hv files BUT i forgot to convert the boot.rgu back and that bricked my device.
But you can cook a rom. YOu only have to use PKT "manually". That´s all. Just follow the steps from the kitchen.
I cooked for example a terra rom without transcriber, autoupdate und included batterystatus and totalcommander - no problems with this, when using Aserg upgrade_rom.bat for falshing.
BTW - do you have an official WWE ROm for flashing - if something goes wrong? OK - it will be WM5 then but you can flash?

I wouldn't test it on my phone because I don't have it CID Unlocked and couldn't risk it getting bricked as Tmobile hasn't released the official rom for download yet but i'll see what I can do as into building a rom. If you get a free chance this week, wanna walk me through it?

So if I understand this correctly, if someone posted their dump from the Wing I could proceed to cook and flash to my unbranded P4350 using Aserg's method without the possibility of bricking since i have the official HTC WWE that I can re-flash?

For the wing dump you need the XIP from terra dump - but you find it in the Wing-dump thread from Herald forum.
And yes - you can cook - if you have an official rom. SO no worry to brick - you can go back to WM5. lol

I'm about to try cooking one up today, I read the tutorial and it doesn't look too bad. If I can find the tmobile wing wm6 rom, i'll base it off that otherwise imma have to use a wm5 rom. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Request advise before flash Traditional Chinese image

Hello,
I follow several instruction to create a backup of CHT ROM before flash WWE ROM or cook WWE + Chinese support ROM.
The ROM is not test because I am afraid brick my device. Is there any expert here can tell how could I recover from brick if the CHT ROM won't boot?
I think it can follow pof's instruction here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334678
But what if the CHT ROM already damaged?
Base on procedure below, is my ROM working?
In short, my procedure is as below:
1. Create dump of ROM by use pdocread.
2. Get part02.raw
3. Get RUU_Signed.nbh from Cooked ROM and use NBHextract to get 03_OS.nb
4. Run (from Imgfs v2) NBDumpKaiser.bat to dump ROM
5. I don't add/remove item at the moment because want to get complete original ROM
6. Run NBBuildKaiser.bat to build 03_OS.nb
7. Use Dark Simpson tool to create RUU_Signed.nbh
8. Replace RUU_Signed.nbh in Cooded ROM at 3.

I want Chinese support as well, but I want to keep the original rom for warranty and so on. But I am thinking of installing CE-Star V2.8 - would that not be sufficient for you? It gives trad/simp chinese, Japanese, pinyin and 7 other input methods, should be fully integrated in WM5/6 ...

CE-Star add additional overhead to the system. WM6 itself is MUI enabled, just add corresponding language will allow it display different language.
I planned to make few version of ROM when original ROM backup work.

Hi Kfluk,
You sound like an expert to me already. At least, you know what you are doing with those "professional tools" to due with those nbh files.
I bought my Kaiser in Hong Kong, and I dumped the ROM into 4 different RAW files. I flashed my Kaiser with the HTC standard english ROM, and it works terrific for me. To support Chinese, I use CE-Star. It works fine to me me cause I don't always use Chinese. Yes, with CE-Star activated, the performance seems slower. I am trying to find a way to deactivate it if I don't need it.
With the 4 RAW files, I am finding a way to make it a executable file so that if I need to restore, I have a much simplier way. If you happen to know how to do it, please let me know.
I think I have a complete Chinese dump ROM from my Kaiser, if you want a copy, please let me know.

I own a Tytn II and extract raw ROM out and re-package to a ROM image. While not brave enough to test it with my device.
I cannot test it until I am sure how to recover from brick when the ROM is not working.
There are many expert here provide a lot of information for rebuild a ROM. I think it should able to find out how to recover from brick.

ey man, you must be care to have HardSPL (don't use SSPL) to unbrick your Kaiser if the flash goes bad....
Second one, the process you describe to get a ROM from dumped raw files is good (you don't need to dump the ROM for backup purpose), you can see this other one i post yesterday http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337066 to compare with yours.

I am using ATT tilt now, but I want to flash original HTC kaiser english Rom which does not support chinese(T/S), is there anyway you can put chinese code plugins into HTC kaiser english rom?
I am a newbie on WM phone, so i want to hear more from you guys who want to keep original kaiser english ROM and want it supports (T/S)chinese input without cestar.

Yes.. anyone can use the part02.raw to create a chinese cab? I've seen somebody did that on other device before. By the way, CE-star is great to just viewing chinese in WM6, but if you try to write, it will screw up and need to soft-reset.

but if my CHT ROM not working after flash. is it mean I can recover with HardSPL? or use MicroSD flash method? I stopped because can't find recover method.
My ROM is unlock CHT version from HTC. So I want to backup in case need return for repairing. I have a question, why do you think I don't need backup ROM?

The re-constructed ROM has some problem. After flash, it does not boot correctly. I am using WWE ROM now. Will try to figure out what's wrong.

just do the work yourself. Download the newest WWE executable. Get out the nbh file and use a kitchen and extract it.

For the moment I haven't found a french 6.1 rom that suits my needs.
So I was wondering about starting cooking. But in fact there are WWE very good roms and I was wondering if it is possible to translate a ROM that way
1. extract the OEM_Lang_*** folder from the official HTC french ROM
2. extract a WWE ROM (of course with the authorization of the cooker !)
3. replace the OEM_Lang folder
4. re-cook the ROM & flash

by now i don't know... only wondering if it is possible !

i'm no expert being that i only got in the kitchen a month ago, but from what i can see your steps make sense. i'm not one hundred percent sure that it will work but i would say try it, dump the WWE rom, so long as you are not releasing it as a new rom the chef will have no problem, and then do as you said. replace OEM_lang_*** with the folder from your french ROM. whether it works or not post the results, i kinda want to see what happens. you might also be able to ask the chef of the WWE rom that you want to use if he knows how to do it.

you also need to replace the *.mui in the sys folder.

Your problems are:
1. you must looking for a chef that shares with you own cook (very very difficult)
2. you must looking for packages (very difficult)
3. you have to change also *.mui in \Sys dir (as have told you xtreme_g)
4. you have to modify also RGU in some \OEM dir
Then you can rebuild and cook. You can use the ervius+bepe's package tool.

Raphael (HTC TouchPro) extracted OEM and SYS

Here are RAR files containing the complete extracted OEM and SYS packages for the Raphael (HTC TouchPro). I'm posting them both because I had some problems downloading the ROM myself, and because others may wish to take some of the packages and turn them into CABs for the Universal.
These have been extracted from the HTC Stock WWE 1.66.405.1 ROM that tupisdin posted over in the Raphael ROM section, here:

Please note - these packages are *exactly* as extracted from the Raphael ROM, and HAVE NOT been relocated using M'Reloc or G'Reloc for use in a Universal ROM.
These can be used with pretty much any Universal ROM Kitchen, but be warned that you will need to 'Reloc the modules.
In case anyone is interested, I will be using these packages as the basis of my next personal ROM. Hopefully this time it'll make it to a general public release!
