how do you fix this?

I really don't know what to do i'm so lost and i've been crying for an hour over this
i clicked "mount" "unmount" on my phone and did super one click http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 and then it said waiting for device i took out my usb cord and called it quits but now my phone browser wont work i have a samsung galaxy S G4 and i need my phone browser for a lot of things even work and its pretty much the only thing i use my phone for and its making me cry so bad what do i do im so confused my boyfriend said he'd help me but he didn't not at all he doesnt even care
so i mounted my sd card when i wasnt supposed to but i dont know how to fix it
do i erase all the data from my sd card?

I have a LG Swift 2.1 but want to 2.2 or 2.3
but the computer does not detect my phone via usb cable
drivers installed and nothing
I do not have access to Superuser
I can not get into SetCpu
what to do?

Try downloading another internet browser from the market like skyfire or dolphin and if that doesnt work ONLY and ONLY then do the steps below
0.BACKUP
1.Pull out your battery and put it back in.
2.Press VOLUME DOWN+CAMERA+POWER and wait till the Samsung sign goes away.
3.You should see a screen with either blue or green text if not repeat the above.
4.Use the volume buttons to navigate to where it says factory reset or something similar (I have a custom recovery on mines and it looks different so it might not be those exact words_.
5.Press the power button (dont hold) to select it then wait for it to finish then restart the phone.
6.Remember when I said back up above. This is where it comes handy just put back everything you had before. *****Dont blame me if you didnt back up and lose all your data************
Here is another way thats easier but the above method is recommended.
1.make sure the phone is on (I like exact instructions and im sure other people do too)
2.press the menu button.
3.Press on settings.
4.scroll down to privacy settings and select it.
5.press factory reset device.

First of all for the computer part did you make sure you have usb debugging off it could also be your usb cable or usb cable port or the computer but there is a way around if your phone came with a micro sd card adapter if not you should really go buy one it saved my butt many times when getting stuck just put the micro sd card into the adapter and put the adapter into the memory stick slot on the computer.
*If the above didnt work to fix the usb method try a different cord and if that doesnt work dont go on just stop reading otherwise you will waste your time.*
Now for the SetCpu,and superuser are you rooted or did you just download superuser from the market,If your not rooted you should download z4root from 4shared.com or Super One Click root from the file attached below, extract and run it.*make sure usb debugging is on settings->applications->Development->usb debugging
If you are rooted try re-rooting(you dont have to unroot) using the above.

Pc doesnt recognize my device ?

My laptop doesnt recognize my device. It all happened when i checked an option in development (application option - in settings) with usb connected .... Also tested on another laptop... not working ... is there any solution ??

Same here and i did everything to solve even back to stock but no chance; just charging but usb not recognized... At last i found the below solution by myself... Still i am very confused that what is causing this issue; hardware or software failure?
Solution:
1- Download " Usb Mass Storage Watcher " from market. Install and run then choose " auto mount usb " option and save.
2- In telephone screen, 3845#*920# to enter hidden menu. Go to port setting and set " AP USB " then check retain after reboot and save-reboot
3- After phone reboots, choose mass storage from settings-sd card or applications-development-usb debugging...
4- plugin usbcable and connect phone. Wait a few seconds and then u will see that phone is being recognized by the computer.
5- In phone screen, usb mass storage watcher application may prompt several times so just press save to exit...
6- To disconnect, either disconnect cable directly or deselect mass storage mode or usb debugging... Phone may be unstable temporary while disconnecting usb...

I dont think that it is driver related since the solution i described above is the only way i found to overcome this issue temporary...

just installed LG software update pc suite --- installed the drivers and the phone is back to normal ....

Thanks for starting this thread had a similar issue.
I had the same thing after my phone was Rooted. It then just topped using the stock drivers.

How to put ICS on my LG device ( device not found) root

hello,
I've tried a few times to root my device but it doesn't.
i want to try this rom: [ROM][ICS][P920] First ICS 4.0.4 Full 3D ROM Ported From SU760
I also read the guide: [GUIDE] [TOOL] Rooting the "First ICS 4.0.4 Full 3D ROM Ported From SU760" but nothing work.....
I cant instal a zip from SD with rom manager because my device says your device is not rooted....
For rooting my device i used this tool: adb_restore_rooting-v1.2.zip but freezes.
It told me this:
pussing bussybox:
device not found..
i turned usb debuging on, bus nothing worked for me.
who want to help me?
ps: i am from the netherlands, sorry for the bad grammar

From my experience the same thing happened to me.my mistake was I did not extract the restore file I jus opened it in the zip folder.extract it to the same folder where you have your zip saved then it will pick up busy box.open rooting.bat from the extracted folder

hi, i've try this, but it wont work...
it says always:
deomon is not running
deamon starting at port 5037.
deamon start succesfully
error: device not found.
i've try to connect with usb debugging,lg pcsuite en mass storge but nothing worked for me....

did you extract the whole rooting file or just the the rooting.bat.you must extract the whole folder if you did not.

when yo connect the cell do you hear a guiar sound and two icons apears one usb and a little bug??
because i have the same problem i just push the button to make a call,
now enter the number: 3845#*920# This will redirect you to the full hidden menu. Once there, you can go to the PORT SETTINGS menu and set it to AP USB thanks to member vicionastral
And if you want to upgrade with the LG software, you must set this to AP USB and make it stay. Then when you are upgrading, you must stay vigilant and press (and keep pressed) the volume up button in the moment it reboot the phone (or before it reboots, just to be sure)
This way, a white screen with red text "factory upload" will show and upgrades will have no problems.
(this mode normally only happens when you press the volume up button with the phone off, and then connect it to the usb port and there is an LG software commanding the phone via usb) thanks to member vicionastral

At first did you install lg drivers ?? Is your PC detect it ??
This happened to me . I used adb_restore-rooting v1.6 and it's work .
When you install ICS you install "lg drivers" as v1.1 right ??
I update the drivers to version v3.xx (from lg support tool) and it's works fine .

Need Stock Rom

I want to flash stock rom 2.2.1 indian firmware back on my samsung galaxy fit as it is unable to connect to my computer and laptop...my mobile charges but no usb data connection(comp shows a message usb device not recognized) .....result of my little experiment( i suppose.. it is)....Since i am unable to connect ..how can i use odin???( used before when all was well)....
in xda forums i read about converting .tar file(of stock rom) in cwm flashable zip is possible through Android Kitchen,,,,but i dont want to take any risk by creating anything as i haven't created anything before....
PLEASE I AM ASKING FOR HELP ANY DEV/MEMBER WILLING TO guide or making a flashable zip...
I read threads on adb ,, terminal emulator ,,converting of .tar into .zip files,,, and i dont want to take any type of risk AND BY FLASHING STOCK ROM I WILL ABLE TO TAKE TO SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTER TO FIX USB DATA CONNECTION PROBLEM (they will charge me more if they see jellybean in galaxy fit for flashing stock rom)....

I used odin to flash 2.3.6 firmware in download mode and it installed successfully, i wanted my mobile to connect to external storage device(i.e. pen drive) so i made a cable myself and also attache charger power source to that cable(hoping it would work.e. mount & read pendrive) ..After that my mobile wouldn't cnnect to my comp or laptop via usb data cable....it would charge but a usb data connection was not possible .. And finally after trying various methods i think it now is a hardware malfunction(becoz of me) and it should be given to a service center..
Rest all is working fine i can flash diff roms , camera ,wifi all working now using pacman rom so i thought service center would charge me more if i gave my mobile as it is.. they could easily charge more for seeing other rom installed So i wanted stock rom flashable by CWM..
So anyone's help is appreciated.. thanks...

what I understand from your posts is that your phone is perfectly fine but there is a problem with your pc and data cable.
Check with some other data cable,and re-install the samsung drivers for "device not recognized" error.
Use other usb port to check whether its a problem in your pc.

i never saw any such option on any rom yet!
whenever you connect with usb to a PC you get USB connected notification..click on it and enable mass storage.
never saw MTP & PTP in usb connections.
Which rom are you using?
If its 4.+ then try this

In Device Manager in Universal Serial Bus Controllers i uninstalled everything from ASMedia XHCi controllers to USB Root hub... all of them, then clicked scan for hardware changes then i connected my device to computer, then clicked the app USB mass storage for ics and JB ....on computer the elements(USb Root hub, etc.) reinstalled and there it detected my device as unknown device,,,,then for 5-10 sec a message flashed
something like this ,,...". I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I Ata mass storage " then it stopped showing not installed...
Using Pacman rom ..does have mtp,ptp,mass storage options..( when i tick any one of the three options it force closes)...
I googled over net on connectivity issue and will need sum time to format c drive and then try again...:fingers-crossed:

I wonder once in odin multi downloader i ticked the debug option only then i clicked delete driver option which may have caused the problem.......

Finally problem solved...replacing charging IC ( as the repairman said) solved comp connection problem then flashed stock rom....

[Q] Regarding connectivity pls urgent

I have an app which receives data and executes using that data...
Problem is at a time i can connect tab as either USB or installer....In case of usb mode it receives data but app is not running and as installer it doesnt receive any data through cable....
Whats the best recommendation using usb cable?

So we have two part
1.process happens on desktop and sends a pdf file to a set destination on tablet (for which i need to have tablet connected as USB)
2.app on the tablet which detects that pdf document and does the further process(for which tablet has to be disconnected from USB mode or as an installer mode).
now we have to do this process like once every 3 mins so not a good idea to connect and disconnect tab eveytime....
So i need to find a way i can keep doin it all the time without disconnecting usb cable
I tried nexus7,ulrtatab 4.4 and irulu....

Go to settings→Developer option→ turn on the USB debugging...
Thats it now you font hav to disconnect the tab from PC...
I recomend you to use MIfile explorer or Root explorer they are lite and easy to handle

What rom are using CM or stock...
Usb debug should work in stock rom and there is now way to do that in CM based roms i think..
