Hi,
I posted this query in another thread, but not sure its getting noticed.
I bought a cradle off ebay for my recently aquired used XDAII.
I've contacted the seller via ebay but they blanked me so far. The web details for the cradle are :-
http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=A11XDA2MNT7
but my XDA won't slot into it, and I am scared of wrecking it by ramming it in.

I took this photo to show the difference between the wall charger ( top ) and cradle connector ( bottom ). Note the wall connector has two small slots at the end of the 22 pins on the lower side. The cradle has two larger slots on the top outside.
Can anyone please point out whether this cradle should be for another XDA model
Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place so mods please move or lock if inappropriate.
I have a one week old Brodit HTC Desire Active holder for sale on eBAY. I've changed the phone so no longer need it.
Stuck it on a buyitnow for £25. Purchased from mobilefun.co.uk for £35.
Thought someone might be interested in picking one up cheaper than elsewhere - it's as good as new (just don't have the fixing leaflet anymore)

Thanks for the feedback. Think something weird happened to the formatting of the url. I've edited the original post. Should work ok now.
cheers fella
now to get my proclip, just bought and paid topic can be locked now.
i presume its in good condition with it only being a week old
cheers again
Hi,
Thanks. Just replied to you through eBay.
Yes it's in as good as new condition. The only thing missing is the plastic bag it came in and the little leaflet which basically says "Screw these four screws in!"
Phone as only been in in two or three times. Just enough to loosen it up a tiny bit
Oh and I should point out that it can supply enough juice to charge properly whilst using as a Sat Nav with bluetooth turned on.
Enjoy..
just to say i got it and my review so far is as follows
beautiful fit
i have an invisible all over cover on, the phone fits with a little shove, but leaves the sim card cover behind when removing it
if it doesn't ease off with time and use i will file a smidge off
but overall im happy and it will fit with an invisible shield on
Does this car kit set 'Car Mode' when you insert the phone? I know the official adapter does.
No, the brodit holder does not trigger the car panel. Also, I think it is pretty tight on the phone. My sim cover slips down when I remove the phone from the holder, and it was driving me nuts until I sandpapered the sides.
Had one in the past for my HD2 and bought it another for the desire hd.
I personally RECOMMEND using the passive holder and buy a separate car charger. It worths because it's more handy for acessories and other cell phones. I had both, the active and the passive, and I find the passive more versatile.
the tight fit i had at the start is getting better, even with my zshield
the power plug needs guiding in sometimes, especially when i plug in my aux socket, i am going to look into a way of fixing the aux jack so it clips in when pushed down
Okay, so it looks like the Brodit Pro-Clip is now available for the Nexus S (if you've used one of these before you'll know it's the ultimate car clip ):
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/brodit-active-holder-with-tilt-swivel-google-nexus-s-p27174.htm
One question though - does anyone know if the headphones socket (now on the bottom of the phone of course) is accessible when the phone is clipped in?
With my HTC Hero I like to use one of those cassette things that has a 3.5mm jack coming out of it. It allows music, sat nav and hands free calling all through my car speakers. Can I do the same with the Nexus S without taking a dremmel to the Pro-Clip?
You're not going to get an answer for a while mate, the mobilefun site says "coming soon". Neither the Brodit.se nor dsldevelopments (uk distributor) site lists a holder yet for the nexus s. Hopefuly they'll be available soon as I'll be buying the passive holder when it's out.
The nexus one did fit an iphone brodit holder, does anyone know if the nexus s fits any other mobile holder that brodit do ?
For every phone I owned in the past, I had an active cradle in mijn car. This allows me to charge while driving, and it is very useful for displaying heavy traffic and mobile police speed checks.
For the Moto X Play, no luck. Brodit did not seem to have a holder, neither they are keen on starting producing one. I asked politely by sending an e-mail, only to receive a "thank you" and an advise to keep checking their site because they might pick on the idea. No such luck.
This week I ordered the active holder for the Moto X Style : http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=513787. Just because I was fed up waiting and fed up not being able to have traffic info at hand ni my car. The Style has the same form factor as the play, but it is 1.2 mm wider. The connector seemed to be in an adequate spot, but the Style is thicker so picture-guessing it is the best I could do.
Well, the unit arrived today. I solved the 1.2 mm difference with black insulating tape. This can be obtained from your local hardware store. 2 layers on both sides hold my Moto X Play nicely. Also, the connector is spot on! I tried charging using a 12V adapter and it worked!
So, if you want a car holder for your Play, buy one from Brodit and stick a few layers of tape onto it.
I also use to get a brodit cradle for my smartphones and , personnaly , for the MXP , I got the reference 511230 which you can adjust and i stuck a small block on the cradle for the phone not to move . I 'm happy with that and can use the cigar power supply with it.
I guess I was to impatient...
I had a Brodit holder in my car for my Navigon PND. Since that broke down (just 4 years old) I am using my Moto X Play for navigation. I had a sheet of 1 mm thick aluminium lying around, and two Neodymium magnets (from the packaging of my previous pone, HTC Touch HD ). I used that, and a cable with a 90 degree angled micro-USB connector to create a holder for my Moto X Play. The holder is coated with Motip Dupli Sprayplast (matte black)..
A thin piece of metal cut out of a can, inserted between the battery and the back cover, makes the phone stick to the magnets. Bumpy roads are no problem.
