[Q] ebuddy won't start on boot - Android Apps and Games

I always have to start ebuddy manually. Does anybody know how to make it startup automatically on boot? I need it to start minimized or as a service.
PS I used startup manager trial to add ebuddy to startup apps but it starts in fullscreen maximized...thats not acceptable.

Bump. Google's gtalk starts as a service on my nexus one. Not ebuddy :-(

WIMP not working?

Well, installed WIMP today on my HD2, used the setup util to enter the settings, even did a soft-reset of the phone, but: when I send a msg as described in the manual ($WIMPxxxx - where xxxx is my PIN), my device simply tells me it has received a new textmsg and displays this msg. WIMP does not seem to intercept it, and doesn't respond...
Anyone a clue how to get this to work?
I use a similar program, Sprite Terminator, and everytime I try and track my HD2 by sending a GPS command I get no reply back.
Very odd.

Disable htc messaging...
It appears WIMP is designed to work with windows (poutlook) handling sms, not the HTC messaging app.
Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging (unsure of source) will disable HTC messaging when installed and enable it again when uninstalled.
I'm still looking for a solution so that I can have both... but at the moment I prefer the messaging interface and don't really put my phone down anywhere... so wimp is sitting idle.
Anyone got the problem solved or is there a similar program like wimp?
I find that disabling the HTC messaging has some negative effects on my phone, atleast when I got a new message my notification bar doesn't show it plus HTC messaging automaticly typed first letter in capital and I have to reset sense few times a day 'cause sometimes the green light freezes and blinks to the end of time.

[Q]Help with an app

Is this app downloadable or is this just my bloody phone? (it hanged while I was browsing marketplace)
http://social.zune.net/redirect?type=phoneApp&id=00db8e32-8bd5-df11-a844-00237de2db9e
marketplace has an issue. whenever it hangs, it needs a restart of the phone. restart the phone and try again.
I take the batery off and it didn't help. MS just screwed the submission

[Resolved] [Q] Any app involving SMS messages now crashes immediately

RESOLVED: Turns out it was GO SMS causing all the problems. The most recent update fixed all my problems. Still have no clue why this would cause my stock messaging app to crash *shrugs*
I have an HTC Evo3D, which had been working fine until this morning. Any app that deals with SMS messages now hangs up and freezes my entire phone, requiring me to take out my battery and restart my phone. I normally use GO SMS, but the default Messenger app crashes as well. Usually the app will load, and I'll see my list of conversations, but if I try to load a conversation or send a new text, everything freezes up and I'm left beating my head against the wall while my phone restarts. I tried to install an SMS backup app, but it froze up as well. Cleared the app data for GOSMS, but no luck.
My phone number is integrated with Google Voice, so I'm willing to erase all my SMS messages if I need to, but I have no idea how to do this without access to a messaging app. Needless to say, this is pretty frustrating
Any protips, Android Gods?
EDIT: I just realized that the GO SMS popup shows up when I get a new text, but if I try to reply or open the conversation--crash, crash, crash. This makes me think there might be something wrong with my SMS archive, but I'm clueless how to fix it.

[Q] A few question about WP7

Hello
I just got my Lumia 900, I use Windows Mobile for years, I feel a bit uncomfortable on WP7, I have a few questions:
1. How to sign out Windows Live? I don't want to sign in all the time, it waste data and battery. I know I can just turn off data, but sometimes I want to leave data on for other program.
2. How to know the phone is using data? On WM you see small 3G appears with signal bar, on Android you see 3G appears with up/down arrow. On WP7, I did not see any changes on upper indication area when I am using data.
3. How to lock the orientation of phone dialer? When I hang up the phone, the phone tilt a little bit and cause the dialer window rotates; so, can I lock it?
I wish someone could give answers. Thanks!
Edit1:
Q1 is answerd
Q2: I observed the phone behaviour. It shows 4G when I turn on the data, and sometimes it shows LTE. I assume when it shows LTE, it is using data. Maybe I am wrong.
Q3: Orientation Lock can only be installed for unlocked Lumia 900. so it seems mission impossible by now.
Some new questions:
Q4: Multi tasking: When I download some big files from internet, while I am waiting, I start to open another app. It seems the download is paused. This is very annoying. I cannot wait for hours to use the phone until the download completes
Q5: How to exit IE quickly? If I browsed 50 pages, looks like I have to press "BACK" for 50 times to exit IE......
Q6: Real time battery percent indication on live tiles? Tried to search the market but no success.
Q7: Can the upper status bar(Battery status/signal bar, etc.) fix on the screen?
Q8: How to set IE home page??
You can sign out of Messenger by opening the Messaging hub, selecting Status (from the AppBar at the bottom), and choosing Sign Out. You can turn off syncing of your Windows Live email by opening the settings for the email account and disabling the automatic sync, which will cause the phone to not use any data or battery life for that purpose. I'm not sure what other aspects of Windows Live you want to sign out of, but considering that things like your Marketplace purchases (including apps, even free ones) are tied to your Xbox Live account, which is in turn tied to your Windows Live account, you'd lose a lot of functionality if you actually signed out.
There's no official way to tell when the phone uses data. Short of temporarily disabling cellular data (to guarantee that the phone is *not* doing so), you could try enabling Airplane Mode, which turns off pretty much all background data usage but permits apps and user-initiated actions (web browsing, app purchase, etc.) to use data.
There's a homebrew app called Orientation Lock that sort-of handles the third question (it just turns off the accelerometer entirely until you choose to turn it on again). I don't believe it was ever accepted to the Marketplace though, so you need a developer-unlock for your phone.

Thanks. One more question: On WM, if I connect the phone to the PC, my phone can get internet connection through PC by ActiveSync. It is very convenience, I don't have to turn on data/WIFI. Can we do on WP7? I tried but it won't work.
Connect your phone to your PC and start Zune music player. The phone should get internet connectivity, once Zune recognises your phone.
You need to reconnect 3-4 times it if it fails. It's annoying but it's working.
good!. Thanks, it works.

apps autostarting despite lacking boot_completed

I recently moved to rooted android 11 (pixel 4A) from jailbroken iOS so I'm very new to Android.
I've read through googling that disabling RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED permissions will stop the apps from autostarting but whilst this stops a good proportion of apps, a number of apps such as Termux are still getting through. Some apps don't even have RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED but they're still able to start. I have disabled app syncing on my device. I've tried multiple apps such as Task Manager and SD maid and this small proportion of apps are still autostarting.
Does anyone have any clues as to how to fix it?
If an app doesn't listen to BOOT_COMPLETED broadcast then it doesn't care about this event.

Hmm, so maybe there's some kind of service running after the boot that starts it? Or some kind of delayed boot? I thought it might have been due to sync reopening apps or something but when I disabled that it still kept showing up. And those apps aren't listed in the Services part of the Developer Services either...
ok I figured it out, my pixel remembers what apps I have open before a reboot and reloads them afterwards. so remove all apps from the memory before rebooting and nothing will be remembered
