I had found a 5MP Android camera app called Imageotag that will take fullscreen pictures (16:9), but as you can see in the pictures below, there is the compass in the picture and numbers above and below the picture. Does anyone know of another camera app that will take 5MP fullscreen pictures?

Its pretty strange that Android photos are still 4x3 while the world had already shifted to 16:9 everywhere from laptops to TVs. 2011 and still no 16:9 native in Android. Not even Cyanogen has cooked that into the firmware. Who cares if we lose 1MP, the format is important so the photos show fullscreen on laptop and TVs.
Hi schoei1,
just a friendly hint: you are wrong in this forum. Here´s the corner for Windows Mobile 6.5 Apps. Try it under Android and you might get better results with your question.

I wanted to see if the NS Macro Focus Mode is worth something so i decided to Give it my best shot and took some photos in a good daylight conditions to Maximize the results.
To tell you the truth i didn't expect much. after all, this is a SmartPhone not a Camera we are testing here.
We can always compare: technologies, Hardware, Lenses, sensor, ext...
But i believe that what really matters is the final result: The Photo.
And that's where i think the NS camera wins.
Take a look for yourselves, and feel free to confirm/disagree:
Please keep in mind i resized the pictures (made them smaller: 854X480)
so you can view them properly at the post.
Yeah.... I took a few macro test shots myself and I was suprised on how good they look.
I too was impressed with it myself . I cant wait to take my first pictures in the outdoors When the weather isnt cold and its bright i'll go the beach or to a park but all we have in the uk lately is fog and crappy weather.
Wow those are some amazing shots man. I'm blown away.
Sent from 1.5GHz CM7 Nexus S.
Ok.. I have strange picture quality with AMAZE camera..
Auto mode enabled..
If u see in this picture i uploaded, there is some strange noise on picture.. It is blurry.. You can see that when you zoom in... Do you have better quality pictures with camera ?
Help anyone?
Thanks in advance.

There's an app to convert the camera to DSLR.

This application is built to enhance the photo quality stored in the Android contact. Android system only supports contact photo in the resolution of 200 x 200. It is not good enough to be displayed in full screen when users are using add-in incoming call screens such as Answer Calls by Gesture (ACG).
HDC can capture high quality photo from the phone camera or existing image files in your device. As usual, you are able to crop the photo before setting to the contact. The photo resolution is chosen for you automatically according to your device. No worry on wasting storage spaces on over-high quality image.

Approaching 200 downloads just after initial released for 1.5 days. Give it a try. Just have it updated. Now users can choose half screen resolution for their entry level devices. Better performance to use with Answer Call by Gesture (ACG).
You might all know the popular Instagram!
And you also know how annoying it is to crop and post squared images!
For iOS, there's an app called SquareReady which fills a photo with black/white bars on top and bottom to get the full photo on instagram, which is pretty awesome!
Like this;

Is there an app similar to this for Android?? Thanks!

Unfortunately there isn't a program like SquareReady for Android yet. If you want the same Instagram-effects without having to crop a picture you can try Streamzoo.
