Is there any app gives a full TV programs play list along with play times for a given station and notification?
TV Show Favs, the best app out there for tv shows and play times. Also alerts you when the show is on tv.

outside the US and its useless, hope someone makes a version for other countries as well or the option to tell the program what country you are in, so it grabs the information for that country
TV Guide Mobile and TV Listings for Android both do this as well, although the UI for TV Guide Mobile is not the best and you need the pro version of TV Listings to get all of the features. Both apps also limited to the US, though.

It's a good thing that I live in the US. LOL. Seriously, I think the dev said he'll add support soon. It's still a beta right?

when i go to watch netflix movies on my gtab the website lets me click on the movie but wont play it. it does it on certain websites too to watch videos. any suggestions?
Netflix is using the Microsoft Silverlight plugin to play the movies in a browser. This is not available for Android.
Playon is supposed to be released for Andriod ..... it plays netflix ....that seems to be the closest, soon to be viable option
Android app supposed to come this century. Hopefully that will help our streaming woes.

If they ever do it that would be nice. I have Playon loaded on my server and using an app called upnplay I can access Playon, but so far have not been able to play anything. It tries, and then quits.

Hey man just use ice films (WWW.icefilms.info) , similar to Netflix. If u have cookies enabled u can save the shows/movies you want to see by clicking on the yellow star next to the title. I wrote a how to guide for it. I can't post links yet but I just wrote it yesterday. The thread is called, How to get icefilms to work on the g tab.
Hope this helps ya out.
Can someone who has the Player and an HDhomerun give this apk a try? This looks promising for live TV on the Player...

I tried this last night. It does not work - it just searched for channels indefinitely. Also in the thread there is talk of it not working anymore even on the ADT1. I guess changes to lollipop broke the app.

Well hopefully they get this worked out this is my main reason to buy this so I can ditch comcraps cable boxes
That was broken with changes to Android TV by Google. But give Silicondust some time, they are probably working on a fixed version.
As someone who got to play around with it a lot on my ADT-1, I can say it worked pretty good for a test app on a test build of android tv.

You can still do that without this. If you have an pc you can use as a pvr then there are xbmc addons that will enable you to watch/record live tv from the nexus player. Even better since you get pause/rewind as well, which I assume this app did not have given the lack of storage for live tv buffer on these devices.

I got mythbutnu set up I'm just not a fan of the xbmc style channel guide. Seems like they were working on a lean back style interface with this app that I was interested in
SiliconDust VIEW app works outside TV Input
The latest update to SiliconDust's HDHomeRun VIEW app hit the Play Store on Friday. While it doesn't tune properly from within the TV Input Plugin on my Nexus Player, I can access my channels perfectly by launching the VIEW app itself (which has the same interface as on a tablet). While it's not showing up in the Play Store on the Nexus Player, you can install it from the web version of the store and it will show up properly in the leanback launcher.
The activity on their development forum for Android TV makes me hopeful that they'll have it sorted out soon. The changelog listed support for Android L and Android TV, but only stated support for the ADT-1. I assume some of the remaining issues may be having to do with ARM vs x86, but I don't have an ADT-1 so I can't be sure they don't have the same problems at this stage.
so if the apps works can you tell us does the video stutter when viewing hd channels?

Works on my hd homerun prime.

Do you have an AC router
I have a trebdnet AC 1900. Still stutters om HD from time tv time. It may be that the quad atom processor have more power than the amazon fire processor or it may be that it takes advantage of the AC speeds.
Yeah forgot that I have a usb ethernet adapter. Maybe that's why mine doesn't stutter.
Sent from my Nexus 5
I have a HDhomerun Dual. The View app works for me on Nexus Player. Seems like there's a little stutter in picture every now and again (unit is about 1 foot from an asus 68u). But may just be my imagination. Def better than on my Nexus 5 tho, which is practically unwatchable even 10 feet from the router.
Turns out the View app works for my Prime as well. The TV app only gives audio, and only on some channels.
Another app to try

If you can not get it to load email the developer and see if he can give you a beta so you can try it on the Nexus player. It is better than the HD homerun app on the market. It is called Tune N View it works if the Mysterious Nexus box plays MP2, MP4 and AC-2 audio if it does not support natively it does not work. It works on Minix 8 and other boxes that support those video and audio formats. If this does not work I will place my order of this box on Ebay and just return it and work with what I have. I called Nexus support and they could not tell me which video and audio formats this device supports, really? That's like buying a car and the dealership not knowing what engine it has. I am trying this although I have a fully rooted amazon fire tv which works great. I am hoping this device can deliver with this app and the following:
Root to install external hard drive
My nexus 4 has 16 gigs whats up with 8 gigs?
XMBC (just in case Tune N View does not work)
xbox 360 wireless control support
Hdhomerun App
Finally I was able to compare Nexus Player vs Fire Tv for usage with my homerun prime. I can say that it most be the combination of the Asus AC1900 that I got along with the processor which makes it work alot before with much less stutter then with the fire tv box. The one gripe I have with Nexus why provide much less video codecs support off the bat compared to google tv boxes like my sony box. Tune N View works great on Google Tv (one of the few apps I love on Google TV). Basically less stutter device has less power put they have the needed video and audio codecs. The developer is always involved and did I already mentioned that is better than the official Hdhomerun App. Nexus next time don't be cheap and have those video codecs you know that your getting a geeky crowd to buy these type of devices. Overall I believe I will keep this device now that the Hdhomerun is working better on this device. You can also use the DLNA support on Xmbc for viewing channels as well, FYI.
Can anyone make the Tune n View apk available.
With root & running LolliRock, the "No Carrier ASUS FUGU" aka Nexus Player, is not eligible to download the app via web, and I cannot seem to locate a legit apk to sideload.
Looking for this APK as well...

My NP is unrooted but I'm sideloading apps to try them out and I would love of copy of this apk as well. Can't seem to install or download from the Play store either. Thanks.
I'll be curious to see once the VLC for NP is updated to work with streaming over network. That could be a solid option as well.
Thanks.
Dan
I purchased an HDHomeRun Prime and it worked great for wired devices on my network. But it didn't work so great in my dualband 5g wireless setup. So that translated to an awful experience with my Nexus Player. I wonder if it is because it seemingly doesn't compress the Live TV cable stream out of the HDhomerun (mpeg or transport stream 'ts' output).
Instead of trying to load a usb wired network connection on my NP, I just sent the device back and got a refund. Great in theory, not so pretty in real world application.
I just happened to update the pluto.tv app today. I happened to notice on the Leanback launcher that there was a "Live Channels" icon/banner. When I started "LIve Channels", it gave me the option to include pluto.tv as a source for channels! I looked at the Google I/O schedule and apparently this will be discussed this "feature" tomorrow. This gives me hope for the future of Android TV!

Awesome! Cord cutters rejoice.
Endgadget did a quick blurb about it. Looks like early content providers include: "AOL, Bloomberg, TED, The Huffington Post, Pluto, Vevo and European streaming video service Zattoo."
I wouldn't mind if Hulu, CBS News, & some of the other networks built on top of this platform...
I just tried it today with Pluto and I think it just blew my mind with what I suddenly realised was possible with this framework. It does turn a app into an almost TV watching like experience. Just need more apps to now take advantage of it.
Edit:
I notice I have Ted, Vevo and the Huffington Post but none of these are options to add to Live channels. Can't find Zattoo on the Nexus player even though I am in the UK and it has a troubleshooting page on their website.
Wasn't it like that before? not on nexus but on my forge I could select HDhomeRun View to select my source for live-tv channels.
I didn't see any update to Live Channels app I think it was like that already.
I love the overall concept but I hope they improve the stability of Live Channels. Right now Live Channel stutters when changing Pluto TV "Channels."
I am really tempted to pick up an HDHomeRun Extend so I can add real channels meshed with internet based channels.
In the ideal world, I would love to have SlingTV, CBSNews, WatchESPN, FoxSportsGo, & potentially other services like Hulu & USA integrate into live channels. This way, I have one channel "guide" to view all the "channels."

Can you launch videos through the actual pluto app or do you not get any videos their either?
Videos played through the app work fine, just not in the channels icon.
I've heard that a new firmware is imminent for it, maybe that will be based on 5.1 and will fix my casting and this streaming channel problem.
Can the live channels app be ported to mobiles? Been looking for an epg that uses iplayer uktvplay itvhub etc so you can click whatevers on and it opens instead of having to look through all the afromentioned apps.
Hello all,
StreamlineWatch is an app to watch all your favorite movies and tv shows from many streaming providers such as Netflix, HBO, Hulu but also free replays from abc, FOX, CBS and many others (as well as TV Everywhere if it happens you still have the cable) in one simple app.
This is more a new interface to replace all these apps than just a movie search engine to check if a movie that you would like to watch is available in one of your subscriptions.
How many times did you watch a movie or tv show because one of your friend or colleague recommended it to you ? StreamlineWatch allows you to recommend to your friends the content that you really liked but also check what they recommended to you.
Happy to hear any feedback !

Yes exactly. In order to watch Netflix content you need to have a subscription to Netflix, same for HBO, Amazon Prime... If you don't have any streaming subscriptions, you can still view all the free replays that you could normally find on the app of abc, CBS, Comedy Central, Crackle...
The objective is to gather all your content in one app to get better recommendations and find what you actually already have access to (a friend discovered later with StreamlineWatch that he paid for a movie while it was actually available on his Amazon Prime subscription for free).

Thanks for the answer! Your app looks very interesting.
Any expansion for India
"This app is incompatible with all of your devices." LG G4 and Nexus 5 both running LineageOS 14.1. Located in the UK (Netflix is available at least). Not sure why they're incompatible, any idea?
This would be great for Android TV, but it doesn't appear to be supported.

Unfortunately StreamlineWatch is only available in the US for now but I'm working to expand in other countries. Why does it only work in the US for now ? Because even if Netflix is available in the UK, their movies/TV shows rights are different across countries and StreamlineWatch only contains the US catalogs of shows for now.

Yes and no. I'm interested in a better option.
Suggestions:
Add Chromecast Support. Everyone wants to be able to cast it to their TV.
Add NBC and NBC Sports support
Many broadcast network apps (NBC, ABC, FOX, etc) have the ability to login through your cable subscription (DirecTV, Xfinity, Cox, etc). Once you login, you can view MUCH MUCH more content because you verified you pay a cable provider to view. Please add this capability.
Just please add support for other countries! Like Mexico, supported by services like Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime and Crackle. Thank you!
