+1 that looks like a cool app

SpoofApp
They give you 5 minutes free then you buy minutes after. I used it when I add the iPhone.
Spoofpro
Gives you 10 free minutes for spoofing then you buy minutes after.
Spoofpro v2
" same as above "
I believe there will be no completely free option. It cost money to run whatever servers they need to run for routing calls.

something like bluff my call or callerid faker? its that what you are talking about?

Yes that'd what he's talking about.

You can try an app called "caller id faker." I haven't tried it, but a friend has... Supposedly allows you to change your voice and calls are free, but limited to only 2 minutes per call. It's by the same people who made bluff my call. Caller ID Faker is for US and canada, while international users can use bluff my call.

[Q]Voicemail App

Here in Holland we have to pay to listen to our voicemail messages.
I was wondering if there is an app that does the following:
Auto picksup after 15-20 secs, then plays a message + beep, and then records a message on your phone locally.
This would save me alot of cash.
So does anyone knows an app like this?
Thanks!
I have recently started using Tasker. It can completely (almost) automatically. It can auto answer calls, play files and record calls. It can be fiddly, but is powerful and should do what you want (and more).

Hmm, it's kind of pricy.
I would like to try if this program offers what I want before I pay this much for it
I suggest Google Voice, its great for voicemails and whole variety of other features. It also has the ability to convert you voicemails into script which you read from your home screen what using any minute's. Here's a link for a demo

Sounds great, but not available in my country yet
Google Voice is not available in your country.
Thanks for visiting Google Voice. We're not yet open for users outside the US, but are planning to expand our service to additional countries in the future.
That blows, is your phone rooted?

i wish there was an app that auto responds that u r driving when it detects motion for 2 mins continuously after it receives the message.
I believe a company was going to develop that.. then realized ppl could just ignore the text message without the app.

saw a thing a few days ago, where sprint was going to do this but charge a monthly few ($2), I want the app but monthly is asinine
New TMO phones come with an app called DriveSmart which auto responses to Text/Calls. IDK if it's in the market though.
I created this a few months ago, let me know what you think.

[Q] Any way to make/receive calls using data connection?

Is there an application (or other method) to rout all incoming/outgoing calls through the phone's data connection? With texting this is already possible with Google Voice, but GV uses normal phone connection for voice. I'm looking to get around that.
Specifically I'm looking for a way to use a tablet plan (just data) on my phone while still being able to make and receive calls. So far I've seen Fring and Skype Mobile, both of which cost money. Has anyone used these (or any other similar service) and if so, do they work? Do they drop calls and/or not complete calls? Do they use the data connection exclusively? Are there any similar things that are free to use?
Thank you in advance!
The best one i have used is toktumi.
It's has a monthly fee of 10bucks but gives you a new number and texting all on their app.
It's been around a long time on. Apple before they crossed to android. I used it personally and it wasn't to bad. It's only 60-80% reliable when i used it. Maybe now it's alot better.

How about google voice nettalk

Nope google its purely data

There are plenty of ways to make outgoing calls with data, but having a number that it's possible to call from any phone to ring yours is a lot harder. And google voice DOES use minutes; here's proof: Link
Try the free trial app from toktumi and you will find out that it's the best SIP app you can get

Has worked well for me the few times I've used it!
I can vouch for Skype and how well it can integrate with Android, though you must be willing to pay for some services.
2.99 a month will get you unlimited calling to the US and Canada. You can get away with only using this IF you don't want your own mobile number and don't care to receive incoming calls or voicemail. Not to mention when you call someone it will say "Unknown" and I've seen people don't tend to like to answer calls from an unknowable number. Most people obviously don't fit into this category, not sure if you do.
19.99 a month for your own mobile number where you can receive incoming calls and voicemail.

[Q] What is everyone using for sms on their WiFi Note 10.1?

Hello everyone.I'm wondering what everybody is using for SMS/MMS on their WiFi Notes? I would appreciate feedback as to what you are using and what features you like about it.Thanks
I would guess they use their phones?
I use mighty text. Works well. I switch between that and Google voice. Mighty text works best unless you are on Google voice then it's a toss up. No mms through Google voice but it syncs everything better than mighty text.

If you are guessing that, you have no idea what I am talking about. There are several apps that connect phone to tablet for this or use your phone number to sms thru email on the tab.Move on to your next extremely helpful post somewhere else.
I'm using tablet talk. I like it a lot it's really good but it's not free.
It syncs all your messages to your tablet. It uses WiFi and Bluetooth for it to work.
You can receive calls.
Perfect Combo!

Google voice to handle my Voice Mail and text messages. GrooVe IP to run my phone calls.
Works like a charm.

Well since in many countries it's illegal to spoof sender number I would say that any app that can do that is potentially a way to get your criminal record tainted. And know of at least two providers that do not deliver from spoofed sender numbers.

Haha nice try to cover your own ridiculousness. It's not a spoof number, Google voice and mighty text use your own number? Are you going to say it's illegal to send texts through those services on a Web browser as well?

That is your providers SMSC you use and that is not at spoof. But if I send a message via my SMSC with your number as a sender that it's spoofing and illegal here. I can do that since I have my own SMSC and my contract clearly states that that it's grounds for termination and most likely a report to the authorities.

I use textfree. Can't send mms with it but can receive. Just wish the number they give had my area code.
I'm using Tablet Talk and it is brilliant. I was using Mighty Text, and was wary of whether TT would be worth the £1.79, and it totally was. I'm glad I took rhe plunge.

I take this back. Textfree is what I use on my kindle. I use heywire on my 10.1.
Tablet talk works great. I never have to take my phone out of my pocket, even for phone calls when I have my bluetooth in, I can dial right from my tablet. Well worth the money imo.

[Request] App idea to a dev...maybe

Hi community,
A few days ago I saw a thread asking for some app ideas.
But unfortunately now I can't find it.
However my idea is as below.
1. An app which can activate a background sound during a call which will be able to heard from the other party of the call. For example if we activate a rain sound the other party listening will think I am in a rain situation. Or may be a urban town sound. without using network just to run from local phone.
2. An app to receive calls and save them as voicemail after several number of rings. Actually I personally think it's a waste to pay mibile companies for voicemail when we can totally save the voice cuts to our local phone. Again this app also without using network connectivity just run using the local mobile.
So above are my requests.
They might sound silly to most of you or may be they are already there which I am not aware of.
If so please share your knowledge in a comment.
Thanks xda community for giving me a chance to share my idea.
