Hey everyone, I was just wondering if there is any way to put the fish panel from the x1 onto the x10. I know the panel was developed for Windows Mobile but there's got to be someone around here that could do it. The panel showed different fish and different colors to alert you to missed calls, sms, etc... I have found koi pond apps but that's not what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance, Harry
Anybody know what I'm talking about?
yes im with you but the panels are a x1 thing ONLY, its a windows mobile appplication, if you want that or any other panels you would have to port it to android
would be great to have them but sadly seems is just for winmo
...androidzoom.com/android_themes/wallpapers/3d-koi-pond-live-wallpaper_kziu.html
Maybe something like it?
But i not recommend use that screensavers, only drain battery and put laggy the phone.
By the way, is best wait for the Eclair update for put live wallpapers like this, because Donut not support that kind of wallpapers.
I miss that panel too. My mom keep asking why my new phone doesn't have fishes swimming... Lets hope there will b similar live wallpaper like that on android. Like when have miss call will have extra fish, silent will have a grey fish...etc

[EDIT]
Just send myself two SMS.
The fish do not change in any way. This is correct?
[/EDIT]
Just installed it. I notices that are no settings to make.
After installing it on my Feralab v20, it rebooted.
After reboot, my lockscreen also shows the swimming fish !! (transpararent backgroudn on lock screen).
Usually I'm not that happy with live wallpappers (because of the battery drain).
But this one seems quite nice! If I understand right, it shows swimming fish that represent missed calls, sms, etc.?
In other words, it's a combination of a livewallpaper (aquarium) with notification bar??
I'll let it run for a while to see how it reacts on incoming sms, etc.
Thank you.

Fish should change color to green when SMS arrives.
I'm also planning to add missed call indication, battery level
And natural movement of fishes
You should add options to modify the background other then that it's nice and simple but haven't had the chance to test it out yet I need someone to text me first

Slightly off, but when you have fixed this panel, how about having a go at the live tiles panel from the X2 - That panel set my world on fire!

The ability to change colour is great. However personally I think the idea of having a school defeats the purpose. I'd rather have the original 3-4 fish, if possible? They just seemed more real.

Well, Sunday afternoon, wife and kids away so I went on with some icons in the sony erirsson font. When you rooted your phone and use this font as your default it looks great on your phone...nevertheless worth sharing. Here some screens in use:
Here are the white PNG icons in Sony Font containing the following:
Applications: GPS, Music, Pictures, Tools, Video, Weather
Homescreen: Dial, SMS, Mail, Shop, Twitter, Web
Games: Action, Arcade, Cards, Puzzle, Race, Sport
Using Smart Shortcuts you can use these icons as your folder icon and make shortcuts on your screens, when you tap them a folder opens with the chosen applications you chose making the folder in Smart Shortcuts.
If you are using Desktop Visualizer these icons are 100x100 png, they are a bit smaller in words of course as I went of the edge a bit.
They look a bit blurry on the screenshots, but that's because I cropped the screenshot png which already is a small file ofcourse. On your telephone it looks sharp as a razorblade ;-)
EDIT: The best thing is of course when your wallpaper is not scrollable (setting in ADW). For that I made 9 wallpapers which looks good with those icons. 3 like in the screenshot and another 6. Also added as attechment. They are 490x854 photo's pasted in a 960x854 background. Just swipe them to maximum and there you go Watch out, there are 2 nsfw pictures in it as well. Herewith an overview of all wallpapers, obviously as i explained you won't see the white parts, it is necessary to get a perfect single wallpaper (unscrollable) for all your screens. For the first two when you want to add the text icons exactly in the squares, make sure you have selected in adw settings, 5 coulomns and 6 rows, than it will fit when using smart shortcuts, this app is free from the market.
Cheers,
Arnold
added 9 single screen wallpapers for non scrollable use. That way you can make different pages using those icons.
Thanks for sharing and putting time to make these.
Although i am totally noob & didn't get it how to do all that (due to my poor english), but really awesome effort from your side Great & Thank You very much ^^
Excellent, and many thanks for this. I don't, however, know how does one change the icons for the apps, what's the app/technique to do that?

Just download the program 'Desktop Visualiser' it is not available in the market for the X10, but you can find the .APK on this site. That program is very simple to use, no explaination needed.
Also, extremely nice backgrounds, I already have extremely similar icons (Tallmin: http://www.droid-den.com/android-guides/android-tallmin-icon-set), so most likely won't be using them, but almost certainatly will make use of the backgrounds!

On a completely unrelated note, my X10i gave me the 'charging bug' for the very first time just now
Damn!
Thank you, nice to hear people like them. Spent 4 hours on it to find wall papers which will fit the icons as a glove. Personally I use them with SMART SHORTCUTS, as desktop visualizer and my phone are not friends, so smart shortcuts folders....that is what you see in the screens.
It is very easy to install. Read the first post and it will work. If you have questions or need help, just post a reply and people will help you...that is the great thing from this community.
Shukla, you are crazy haha

PollPixx, as always great work follow many of your threads
I've sorta been using your icons (sorta because i like images ) and trying a new dual screen type approach with sophisticated sleek words and minimal view on one home screen with the big colourful images on another home screen. Havent gotten it to look 100% yet as its very hard to get it all to fit nicely with a wallpaper, but when I do i'll post on the desktop thread!
p.s. awesome walls wish i could keep one in particular as my wally but the girlfriend will castrate me

Well, as I am also a photographer and have my studio by the house my wife is used to some girls nudity, actually she is more than once my model, artistic naked photos are great,
I dont like the pornographic pictures, but artistic naked like the third screenshot, which happens to be set as my default screen, is really something I like....
I also can't understand why people are having problems by such an innocent picture like the black/white behind picture I posted above, the great thing by these pictures is that you are not seeing anything pornographic at all...
I have had several discussions already about this subject, I always say, if you like it, use it, if you dont like it grab another background...
So, convince your girl you are just an art lover....

Second: just 2 questions
1- how can you select different wallpapers in ADW? I can`t find that option;
2 - How did you disable the botton center icon from ADW?
Thks
EDIT: By the way: I´ve made some icons based on these with droid text.

Thx!
1. You can't....i made different screen shots to show the difference.
2. Just long tap and swipe it upwards, worked for me.
Of course, post them.

Good job on this.
I love the first two wallpapers.
I may try this later on and put my comments on this but I am sure I will love this.
The very good design, is very attractive, thanks your share ~~
I am currently putting together an app that will change your lockscreen to vanilla, puzzle (Samsung-like), thin sheet (acer-ish), big slider (miui-type) or bar slider (sense-ed).
This app will allow music controls from default music player along with poweramp and doubletwist. There will also be weather ,displayed along with battery %. Lastly there will be icons for sms, missed calls, and gmail thay show unread/missed count and can be slide up at any time to view the associated application.
I am working on this now, but want to see if there is a demand for this??
Yeah, but could you add like some custom texts on the lockscreen with costomizable colors and sizes

If this app is as customizable as widgetlocker, then i might buy it :O, modding png's and such perhaps?
I would totally support development of this app!

I love the ability to customize the lock screen so I would say yes.
I came from an iPhone and when i saw this i thought "but wouldnt you need to jailbreak it first"...
Anyway, i like the idea of the gmails/sms/missedcalls being visible, and with a drag (i dont like the idea of a click, to easy to accidentally go into stuff) to see extra data about said items.
I would possible donate, but only if it were 1 dollar, i don't like paying more, make it a fun thing where you keep changing whats on teh front to suit your mood and then put ads in the settings. Theres 2 cents from me lol.
Maybe add support for Slacker and Pandora music controls as well. Or widgets like Widgetlocker. Very cool idea and would love to try it out.

i think there is an app similar to what u doing btw... flockscreen... its not on the market yet i think.
but yeah... good stuff especially if u get the music control on it.
Me likeyyyyy the weather part of it
A drop of Chuck Norris's semen was placed on the IPhone. We now have the Htc Evo.
There are some lock screen customizing apps out there, but this one sounds nice.
It sounds like something that Google/Android/Sense should already include.
My only issue is I'm not willing to pay a lot for something like this. I'll certainly try a beta or give a trial a shot- and I'm willing to change my mind for a reasonable price. I've bought a few things for a few dollars each...
This app sounds like LockBot + music controls. LockBot allows individual icon customizations between the many lockscreens you can use, including iPhone, Froyo, Rotary, X10, and Liquid. There's another lockscreen, but the type escapes me.
I would like this sounds interesting

What about adding an agenda widget to the front?
the main (and only) reason that I'd buy this over Widgetlocker is if you make it VERY light on my processor and make that Galaxy S puzzle unlock PERFECT. That being said, if you do both of those things, I'll buy.

If I didn't use the Sense lock screen I would be interested. The weather part intrigues me.
Quoted this because you need to get rid of the last "s" in Chuck Norris' name! You wouldn't want Chuck's rath upon you, HA! I think I can hear the them song now... "Whenever you're in Texas look behind you..."
I would buy it. Not a lot of lock screen weather apps work half the time anyway.
I have noticed a few people saying that there are already a few apps that do this. Don't let that stop you. Obviously, if there are already apps that do the same, then there is a demand for it, and if there is a demand, there are going to be people who like one app over another. My advice- make it as customizable as possible- people like being able to make their phone look exactly how they want it to, and the majority of liking one over another comes down to how it looks, not so much how it acts. Good job and good luck.
-EDIT-
I noticed this thread is a few months old and kind of dead, however, I still hold to my statement.
any progress on this? Just Wondering
Yes please create it.......I would love the puzzle piece screen

Hi guys!
For the last few hours, I have been looking for some type of widget displaying missed calls and unread messages, for my widgetlocker lockscreen.
Ideally it would be showing when there are missed calls or messages, and be gone when there are none. Something like the notifications you'd see on the iPhone's lockscreen.
Something like the notifications on GO Locker iPhone Lockscreen HD by ProArt (Appearently I can't post links since I'm new here, but just search that on google play :3 )
Or perhaps the ones on Cute Lover Go Locker by KOOL HD GO LOCKER THEMES (Also on google play.)
Anyone know any widgets that would work for that? I'd be much appreciative, since I have been searching for a long time.
And I really don't know if I am just a bad investigator, or it just doesn't exist.
Personally, I hope for the first one.
Anyways. Thanks in advance!
Welcome, I hope your issues/questions gets addressed. Until then here is some information for you Thanks.

... if you could swipe left / right on the watch and scroll through your custom watchfaces configurations?
This way you'd have everything in place according to the situation, like having a watchface for sports with counters and music controls, then with one swipe you put your watch in the office configuration with calendar and email, or in navigation mode for riding a motorcycle.
Any takers of such a task?

Thank you for sharing your opinion.
On one side I tend to agree with you - in the end this is just a watch and a single watchface should suffice, provided you can squeeze in all your necessary widgets.
However, due to the recent developments in the custom widgets area I DO feel the need to have more than a single configuration available preferably through a simple gesture.
I wonder if this could be achieved by means of swipe or some sort of navigation widget or even a menu that would allow you to switch between your custom (not built-in) watchface configurations (3 would suffice)

I couldn't agree with you more, can't believe Sony haven't implemented this! Surely they've thought of it?
Have you tried contacting them? Would be a simple implementation for them.

I would rather not turn my hopes to Sony - they did a great job with the updates but they take too long to move or respond to their users, if at all.
Rather than this being a firmware level functionality I thought it more in the terms of a "dynamic" shortcut application that would increment or decrement a slot number based on the swipe direction (left-/right+) and then trigger (after a very short timeout) the built in selector to display the corresponding watchface for the resulting slot #.
Of course, this app would have to run in the background to capture the swipes when the screen is on.
Alternatively, this could be achieved with 2 widgets - left/right - no swipe would then be necessary.

Nobody has hacked the on watch software as far as I know, so it would have to come from hacking the phone watch designer, I guess as you mention via watchface widgets. Asking manu0466 for thoughts would be a good place to start, as he's already hacked the software in some way.

I'm sorry, but you got me wrong - I was talking about an app that would use the new widget capability of the watch, NOT about a hack of any sort.
Maybe someone who understands the limits of the Sony SDK could shed a light on this matter?

So you'd need widgets whose functionality and design can change dynamically.
While possible, I think that would be a complicated way of achieving the objective, considering the interaction with different apps by different developers.
There would have to be a middle layer added in, interacting with a watch face widget on one side and various apps on the other.
