Hi all, I have been experiencing problems with my WMDC. After flashing a new ROM i get an error that says "connection error please disconnect and reconnect your device" but i do ant it doesnt fix the problem. I use Energy ROMS all the time and i usually sync right before I flash. The only way i have found to fix the problem is to format my computer and that is a pain in the yo know what! I have tried repairing, re-installing WMDC with no luck. I try re-flashing my phhone and still no luck. I tried my gf's phone which is the same as mine and no luck. My phone by the way is the htc pure from att. Any help would be great. I am running WMDC on Vista 64. Thanks

Each time I try to install Dutty's TouchFlo Rom Final from the extracted file on my desktop to my Tilt, I lose my ActiveSync connection.
I get to the tri-colored screen then lose my ActiveSync connection when the installation begins.

this is normal behavior... you will NOT have an activesync connection while the phone is in bootloader... if you let it go the phone should flash just fine.
Got the same problem, resolved it at last by removing and re-installing ActiveSync on my laptop and a hard reset of my phone.
Then started allover again and it worked.
So give it a try.

So i got this error with a big "X" inside this red circle and next to it just says the word "Error" then nothing else when i tried sync using WMDC thats what happens. Btw im using a HTC Touch Pro and i tried plenty of solution from the Microsoft website this includes the following:
-Uninstalling the device driver and reconnect the device
-Disabling Advance Network Functionality
-Disabling firewall, antivirus software etc.
-Running WMDC on compatability mode
-Soft resetting device

But have tried a HARD-RESET?
Hard-reset could help with Your problem, but remember to backup all necessary data as everything will be deleted from phone.
If it does not helps try to flash another ROM - and if You can't flash a ROM when there could be problems with USB connector.
Maybe bluetooth sync will work?

I have tried hard reset and updating my phone to the latest ROM a few days ago and i still get the error.
I bought phone in non working condition; it had a loading problems. Tried hard resest but it didn't helped. So I downloaded ROM upgrade from Tmobile website and when I run the program it stucks at 8%. When I turn the phone on it shows triangle with msg 'software update failed' and when I connect it to pc it does not sync with windows mobile device manager. How can I fix this problem? Is there any way how to make complete restore?

I've got a very unexpected and disruptive problems.
Noticed yesterday that Odin no longer find my phone. When I went into the download mode and connect the phone it pops up a windows message, "USB Device Not Recognized". Everything worked just fine until yesterday.
I've tried to install the drivers again without success.
I have also reinstalled Windows, but even then, without success. How should I do? Something is very wrong with my phone :/
Another problem is that I cant do something in the recovery anymore. Some signature is missing. Same thing with Clockwork.
Dont know what to do anymore. The only thing I can do is root with Super One-Click.
Has anyone got any ideas?

I solved it. I connected the phone to my old laptop with Windows XP and it ran on really well

Today ive tried to flash my htc Qtek1010 with the lumpistefans cooked rom ,but I failed cause of an error with the com port (no connection cause of this fu**ing win8 )However ive took an old xp laptop tried to save it ,but i couldnt get any conection through active sync ,but maybe i could do it via "HTC sync usb" but idk how? Whatever it still stucks on the not filled progress bar.
The laptop has installed a driver which teoratical allows me access to the device but idk how to use it :/ maybe thorugh Mtty but what i should do?

Im an idiot i thought bootloader was broke so i havent tried [power]+[soft reset]
