Is there any information out there on Google Voice playing thru in car bluetooth sets. I have a Cadillac Escalade which works fine with the HTC Stock VVM but not with Google voicemail. Any thoughts?
This does not work with wired headsets either.
Strange. Playing voicemails on google voice through my wired headseat works fine.

Verizon's version of HTC Touch Pro (XV6850)
Verizon stock ROM MR1 (2009-06-11)
Connects to Sony MEX-BT5000 head unit for hands-free and A2DP
I recently installed iGuidance 2009 on my TP, mainly because it has text-to-speech directions (as compared to Google Maps, which doesn't). It works great, except for one detail. When connected to the head unit in my truck, the audio for "In 500ft, turn right on" is played through the truck speakers, but when the name of the street is said, that audio is played through the TP speaker. Any ideas why this happens and/or how to make all of the iGuidance audio play through the stereo?

Just to close the loop on this question, the issue seemed to have fixed itself. In my case, I think the issue was which was first: the iGuidance program running or the A2DP being connected. I think the A2DP has to be connected first before iGuidance's TTS will work fine.

Hi All,
All my searches on trying to find a resolution of Nexus S not working with Bluetooth voicedial have come up short.
Here's the problem:
I have tryed with multiple bluetooth devices.
The headset pairs fine.
The headset works fine when carring a conversation.
When holding the Voice dial on the BT Headset the "Blue Tooth Voice Dialer" prompt pops up on my nexus S
At which time it just does nothing. Like it doesnt even hear me speaking into the BT headset.
When I use the Voice Dial feature without Bluetooth it works fine, but whenever using a Bluetooth Headset (No Matter Which One) it will never dial a number.
Does everyone else have this issue on their Nexus S? If not, what is the difference between your set and mine? I'm just at a loss why the Nexus S will not work with Voice Dialing over Bluetooth.

Nokia BH-600 (an oldie, I know) works fine with voice dialing. This isn't particularly helpful, but it does work with some headsets.
When you hit the voice dial button do you get the "Speak Now" prompt in the BT headset?
Everything works except if I hit my button on my band new Bluetooth headeset. I got it working by using Clinton as my default for voice dialing. It works with the Bluetooth headset.

Has anyone been able to use any type of bluetooth headset with the xoom and skype or google video?
I never have been able to, and was hoping that the latest update would allow it. I can hear through it around 50% of the time but they can never hear me.
Thanks.
i use my bluetooth headset with google talk in video mode. Was a pain in the ass to get it to work, but google talk does support headset protocol.
Same problem here with skype, at first I could hear the ringing thru the headset but once the call connected I got nothing
XOOOOOOOMIN!
btmono in the market sends audio. I've heard it also routes mic input from the headset, but haven't tried. Give it a shot.
I have a Bluetooth 2.0 headset. An LG HBM-210. For the life of me I cannot get it to work how I want it. I'm running Phoenix Blood v1.7 and Faux's 048 kernel. It works with the stock voice dialer but thats IT. Vlingo looks like it would be pretty sweet, but bluetooth voice input does not work for it for me. Nor does reading things back to me (like texts etc.). It uses the internal mic and internal speaker on the phone to playback. When I hit the mic on a text as well, it again only uses the phone's mic and not my bluetooth. Do I need a certain version bluetooth or something to get this to work? Or is there an app that may potentially be a fix for this (tried BTMono briefly). Thanks for any advice in advance.
Even Google Voice Search, only works through the internal phone mic... Same with speaking a destination in Google Navigation..... the ONLY app that works properly is the stock voice dialer. It will say "speak now" into my ear and then correctly picks up what im saying into the bluetooth mic and not the phone internal mic. So strange to me......
This is an issue with the Bluetooth implementation of the phone. I used to use super mono froyo to stream podcasts to my mono Bluetooth. It worked on my other androids, but not this one. You need to get an a2dp Bluetooth. I have a jabra stone 2 that works good except for the battery life. For streaming audio I only got an hour and a half battery life. However it comes with a little round dock to clip on your belt that recharges it. It might be good for the occasional YouTube video or voice dictation/ tts. The reason it only works with voice dialer is because that is built into the handsfree Bluetooth profile. A2dp is for music and stereo audio, I chose a mono a2dp for working purposes(not safe to cover both ears). Good luck!

My bluetooth audio output stops after I issue a Google Voice command on my Galaxy S7 in the car.
Symptoms:
#1 Get in car, bluetooth connects, everything working fine, Podcasts, Phone Calls, Google Maps navigation all performing flawlessly.
#2 Open Google Voice and issue a command "Navigate to 225 Main St."
#3 Google Voice responds with the correct command, I initiate the navigation.
#4 Audio no longer comes through via bluetooth.
#5 Force the bluetooth to diconnect, re-connect bluetooth to car audio, all is well again.
I have 2 Galaxy S7 phones, it happens with both phones.
I have 2 cars, it happens in both cars.
Thought?
