[Q] vnc server & market problem - Android Apps and Games

Hi,
I have an Openmoko Freerunner based on Android 1.5. I want to install VNC server 0.2, but I haven't Market app. How can I install this server on my device?
Thanks

It's an open source app hosted on google code, and they have apks of recent builds on their website. You should be able to download it from code[DOT]google[DOT]com/p/android-vnc-viewer/ and install it just by locating it in astro or another file manager.

[Q] Android Market

I know you are unable to just install the Android Market .apk on an Android device. What dependencies does it have Google Services apk that references a Google Account? Will an Android device that you are able to successfully able to install the Android Market be provided market updates?

It's great..

Can't seem to update go launcher ex

I'm running version 2.5.1 and would like to update to 2.6.7, but not dice either via Android or Amazon app store, or via direct download. What are others doing?
Do I need to delete and install?
It's not natively available for the KF via either stores. You'll have to find the apk somewhere, or update and transfer it via a phone (if you have one available).
Search for it on Google. The people who make Go Launcher post the updated APK files on their web site.
I have the Apk file, that's not the problem. the piroblem is that it fails to install.

GenyToolz One Click Play Store Installation And More For Genymotion Android Emulator

GenyToolz
Tools to Help with Installation of the Google Playstore, Arm library, and Pre Installed app removal on the Genymotion Android Emulator. Essentially turning the GAPPS + ARM flash into a one button process while removing the bloatware preinstalled on the Genymotion tablet at the same time. Simply run the bat file and it will send the rom to your device through adb and automatically reboot for you.
These roms replace CW File Manager with JRummy Root browser, they also remove the developer settings app because you can always open it manually in settings without using up extra disk space. This is also helpful for those who experience problems dragging and dropping to Genymotion.
A video to demonstrate how to push apps and files, retrieve the contents of your virtual device's download folder to your pc, and instantly flash playstore+arm using the tool's batch file with adb interface.

To see play store install skip to 1:42 for lollipop, 2:22 for kitkat, and 3:01 for jellybean
Remember to manually reset your Lollipop devices after running the installation script, all others will run fine without needing second reboot.
You will have a few download servers to choose from depending on which is fastest for you. Google Drive or Mega. Take note to the link you click on!

BLUESTACKS USERS: Make sure bluestacks isnt running in the background or it will cause the program to fail. Check your hidden icon tray!
TO DO LIST: Will be adding 2.3.7 Gingerbread in the future and working on other goodies specifically the network stack / mem buffer to help with certain game's playback.

Correct the arm bridge for 4.4, 5+
All roms included are custom built to make Genymotion devices run more smoothly and be smaller file size and will be updated as more tests are done. Subscribe to receive current versions as they are released!
Note that you can right click and edit all the batch files to see what is included, it is adb shell code to remove some preinstalled apps, adb pushing of system files containing gapps, jrummy, and arm library. Feel free to add your favorite apps to the System/Apps folder to have them installed with the flash! Or you can add them later with the app pusher in GenyToolz.

Where to find Playstore apk file inside device ?

Hello members,
Very new to the forum, so please pardon any mistakes.
I am not able to find appropriate forum to ask this specific question.
Every Android device has playstore (aka Google Play) installed in them by default. Playstore app is an apk in itself (package name: com.android.vending).
I am on Android 8 version right now. Tried searching on following locations but failed:
- /data/data/<package name>/
- /data/app/
- /system/app/
- /data/local/
but failed to find apk of playstore.

That's not always true. When flashing replacement ROMs, the base Android does NOT come with the Google apps including the Google Play Store. That's why we go to the Open GApps website and download a collection of apps for a specific device architecture and Android version.
The Open GApps Project
OpenGApps.org offers information and pre-built packages of The Open GApps Project. The Open GApps Project is an open-source effort to script the automatic generation of up-to-date Google Apps packages. All Android versions and platforms supported.

This case stands true when I root the device with replacement ROMs.
I can have playstore if I don't replace the OS. Please correct me if I am wrong. ( I think this is possible if we just use twrp with recovery and install SuperSu/Magisk but please feel to comment as I am new to rooting.)
In that case, I wanted to know apk location for com.android.vending

Thank you. I will check this location on device without stockROMs.
For my current setup, this location was missing. As @SteinbeckFan said, the OS that I installed did not had playstore and hence this location was missing.

Good question. As you will find it in the root setting of the mobile. Lets go to the the setting and check the downloaded apps. It will be there. Like if you download bike rivals modded so it will be there in the downloaded app with the same name.
