[Q] HTC NonIncredible - General Questions and Answers

This is my first post in here, I have read a great deal of these posts and thought I would just ask for it. I have HTC Incredible and the battery sucks, I am know all about cycling batterys and everything that I have read is BS it doesnt work. out side of buying a larger mha battery. So I was told that I could change the ROM and it would extend the battery life as long as I dumped out some of the HTC sense stuff. I cant find any threads to that affect but I was wondering if any one has a start for me to read? I dont know much about the ROM so I dont think I ask the proper questsions. THanks

Post in the incredible forum, there is a great deal of knowledge in there. You have to be rooted first then you can download rom manager from the market and mess around with different roms, I havent personally found a rom that has better battery life though.
The biggest thing that I've seen is with 2.2 you dont need a task manager and there is an app called juice defender which helps but it can delay data because it turns off your 3g signal.

[Q] Froyo 2.2 desire ROM on HD2

Hey guys,
i have recently ported android onto my htc hd2, because it just was a piece of poo running windows mobile.
its gr8.
though I do have a few issues. the one I am mainly posting about now is my issue of charging and battery life on my HD2 running Froyo desire rom 2.2.
my phone wont charge! the only way to charge the device is to turn it off or to switch back to win mo, otherwise it will continue to consume battery life, and at a normal pace that it would running normally! ??? when the phone is not connected to the AC power, or usb power, the battery drains at an exponential rate! like my phone goes from 100% to dead in 5-7 hours just sitting there..doing nothing!!!! today it was on charge all day and still chewed through my battery life done to 14% over like 8-10 hours......
i cant seem to fix this issue and its a pretty big one...
so yeah please help me, because this is going to be a big problem if i cant fix it. charging and using my phone is an issue because it doesnt ever have battery :\
thanc in advance guys
ryan
You want to much from a Port ^^ I think to post this in the HD2 Section is better!
A port is a Port and cant run good as the orginal! You have to life with some issues if they are big or not! We have issues, too and we dont have Ports^^ Ourt battery life is still not the best so how can u think u can have a simmilar Battery life to the desire..... It cant be good as the Desire! Its build with Windows not with Android!
Logcat and a huge amount more of infos should help you this thread will never help you without infos!
Logcat while plugin in etc.
As your device is a non-native android device you should post questions about the hd2 android port in its respective section, also what your using is a port, meaning 'work in progress" it will never be the same as using a native android device, lots of stuff are missing for example drivers etc, and other functions(idle sleep, battery driver etc), if you want a perfect android expirience you should buy a native android device.
Go to the HD2 Android Development forum section and read all the tips that are posted there. Also, make sure you use a build with the latest kernel, as this improves batt life significally.
its always unbelievable to me how ppl can take credit for other ppls work... this guy ported nothing.. he s a troll.. If he WAS a porter he would be familiar with the issues of the hd2 android ports.. and the bat live of the hd2 android ports is comparable to the native android phones.. that is to say.. its not that great..
but being a user myself I can say, and a lot of ppl agree, that my bat live is comparable or even better than when running wm natively..
all the bs post of ppl that do NOTHING but irritate the devs... within an incredible short period of time they have created ports that can be used for daily use..
SHUT UP OR MOVE AWAY!!!
I have no trouble charging my hd2 battery goes quicker than normal but charges fine

Or maybe, what he meant, was that he installed Android and used teh word "ported" because that's the word he saw being used on all the tech blogs that mentioned the port finally happening?
Give the guy a break, sheesh. He obviously didn't "port" it and he's just using the wrong word.

Best battery and task killer app

I need your help,my phone only lasts about 4-5 hrs a day without charging.
Please help me.
Write the settings oh use to help me out. Thank you.
Sent from my HTC EVO
Task killer apps suck. At least on Android 2.2.
I recently tired Juice Defender and Ultimate Juice and saw a huge increase in my battery life. I think the beta version works better on the EVO.
Also, if your going to ask for help... let us know what Rom, Kernal, Set-Up you have going on right now.
I'd say try out Autorun Killer and Auto Killer (by same dev, but i only use Autorun Killer), and get UltimateJuice
I'm unrooted.
I need to find a good root team I an get a full good root and Nandroid with it.
I have ultimate juice and juice defender.
But I don't know really how to use it and I want to use it to its full extent.
Settings please?
I'm using battery booster and automatic task killer. Auto run is good? My evo needs it badly.

Here's from my experience. YMMV
Best Task Killer - Your ROM. When I first got the phone and wasn't rooted, I installed a task killer to close all the stupid sprint apps, nascar, friendstream, faceyspace crap. Once rooted, I picked ROMs that eliminated the crap I don't use (like Sense) but retained things I do use (like some Sense elements). I use System Panel mostly for monitoring and the usage plots, but the ability to kill an app is useful for specific things that I'm simply done with. Examples, the XDA app, Dolphin or other browsers, I change live wallpapers periodically so once switching, I kill the old one. With the stock 2.1 rom, I would see ram as low as 30mb free. With a custom 2.2 I have never seen free ram drop below 80mb.
Best Battery - You. Don't use bluetooth? Turn off the radio. Out of the house for the day and no longer using your wifi? Turn it off. Set a static wallpaper. Change the brightness setting to as dim as possible but still asthetically pleasing. Not in a 4G area? Turn it off. Don't load your home pages up with active widgets. Turn off haptic feedback. Set your screen timeout to a low value. There are lots of other things to do if battery life is your primary concern. I like live wallpaper, I like bells and whistles. So, I bought 3 extra charging cables so I have additional places to charge the phone when need be. A good bluetooth headset with audio capabilities means I can leave my phone plugged in someplace and get my calls there and my text messages read to me.
Give the "good practices" route a try before relying software to accomplish your goals.
Root with unrEVOked Forever and install Fresh 3.3.0.1. It has fantastic battery life without extra apps. Ultimate Juice has always slowed my phone to a crawl and killed my battery, so I avoid it.
I had Fresh 3.2.0.0, and will be moving to 3.3.x I found KiNg's BFS#6 to be great on battery life with Fresh 3.2.x Can't wait to see what 3.3.x has to offer.

A good ROM and proper use will mean plenty of juice. If something is draining it that quickly without heavy use, install Spare Parts and check battery usage for "partial wake use" and see what is keeping your phone awake. Barring malfunctioning apps, the main things that suck battery are screen, radios, and maybe games since they run the processor at full speed for extended periods.
Keep unused radios off. Don't use widgets that constantly pull info from the web. Keep screen brightness at like halfway or the lowest you feel is acceptable.
Other than that, I just have a charger at my desk at work and one by my bedside. That way I can charge at night and top off when I'm at my desk for extended periods. This way I always have a pretty full battery if something comes up and I have to be out and about for a while. Worst case scenario if I have no charger and plan on being out for a while, I will use my power widget (Switchpro) to turn off 2g/3g data. I still can get calls and texts but the phone won't be trying to maintain a data connection and I can extend the battery life.

Whats fresh 3.3.0.1?
Is that a Rom? I need Nandroid.
Does Unrevoked come with Nandroid? Especially Unrevoked forever, because I know Unrevoked3 takes away root once you get another OTA.

Fresh Evo is a ROM. UnrEVOked Forever gives you NAND unlock (aka full root) on ANY official update. Go check out the thread in the development section.
Yeah, but does Nand unlock take away my Nandroid or give it to me. Because I cant get OTAs with a custom Rom.
Does the new evo update cancel the Unrevoked forever 3.21 release?

1) NAND unlock gives you full access to read/write to system while booted into the OS and flash custom ROMs and recoveries. It is required for the newest custom ROMs.
2) Nandroid is the name for the backup system in recovery. So I guess it "gives it to you."
3) Custom ROMs are based on the OTAs, so there is no need for the official updates.
4) Nothing "cancels" unrEVOked Forever. It works on all currently released official ROMs to give you one click full root.
caspers??
dude, are you trolling? hmmmm?
Caspers, I say this trying to be as helpful as possible. As I consider myself to also be recently new to rooting and customizing a smart phone such as the Evo, I offer you this advice.
Find the stickies on these forums. Read them. Reread them. If something confuses you, use the search bar at the top of this site. If you still dont find a satisfactory answer, search on google.
IF for some reason you STILL cant find an answer, ask yourself what you're confused about. Is it simply terminology? If so, thats understandable, being new to rooting there is a lot of terminology thrown about very casually that can be confusing to someone unfamiliar with what is commonly done on this site. Google them, the answers are there, not to mention there are quite a few very noob friendly guides about adb, rooting, etc that will introduce the terminology for you. If on the other hand you are confused about the actual process of HOW to do something, try searching again - but this time with different key words.
If somehow you you still cant find a good answer, make a post. Beware however, by making such a post, unless you are specific about what you are asking for and make it obvious in your post that you have made a good faith effort to find the answer yourself, you will be flamed. Possibly viciously. Best of luck to you.
Thanks guy. I appreciate all the advice you guys gave me.
I'll Try and do all the things you said.
Thanks. Well I just wanna know how I can back things up and turn back on my s-on so I an unvoid my warranty?
Plus how can I gt Nandroid?
Can I still root my phone from Unrevoked?one click root still? And how do I gt Unrevoked forever? Is t hard? I really need wireless tethering. Help me please. Plus I need to know what's a good battery app?

Anyone else not as inspired to flash?

See what I did there... You know, with the title.
Any who, this is my second android phone and I'm so happy with my inspire, I actually am not that inspired to flash any roms. I mean this in no disrespect to the developers here, as they are doing awesome work, I'm just very content. Sure I'm curious to flash, but I don't feel the need to at all. Htc has done such a great job with sense and the phone is just so smooth! It's pretty damn fast out of the box. I love the email app and Internet. The browser is fast and the entire sense GUI is quite intuitive. I guess with my captivate, I was never quite happy so I needed to flash often at a glimmer of hope of a decent device.
Anyone else feel the same?
I will eventually flash. I will...but I'm in no rush, at all.
exactly I never was happy with captivate tried flashing different things but it really doesnt change much except for theme removing bloat and some lag fixes but all in all it was still very laggy no matter what. inspire looks great out of the box and i dont feel the need to change roms all the i probaly will just to check em out and check out the speed increases

I don't side load apps. I got tethering to work with apn settings. Don't really see a need for OCing. It's cool, but don't see the need. There doesn't seem to really be much on android that pushes the CPU. One of my arguments for not getting the dual core atrix. If the screen was big like a tablet, maybe. There is just a lack of resource intense apps on android.... At least to rationalize the loss in battery life. The screen on the inspire slides from screen to screen as fast as my finger glides. The browser scrolls fast as well. I do appreciate some of the optimizations that devs have put into their roms. The roms look great...I just can't believe I'm happy with stock. I was really gearing up for a flash fest.
Well it really depends on what you want. If you flash a ROM say like Android Revolution. Yes it will remove bloat ware, and enable tethering. But you can also overclock the cpu, enable upload (which effects your download). It is more about having control over your phone then changing how it looks or feels unless you go with CM7 or the like. I get about 10 more hours of battery usage. I can unplug my phone at 7 in the morning use it heavily throughout the day and go to bed at 11 or 12 and still have about 40% left on the battery. To give you an idea how heavy my usage is, I went through 1gb of data in three days.
Ditto.... I have no reason to flash....everything works the way I want it to, and excellently at that.....
Via the XDA app for the HTC Inspire
Ya I don't have a desire to flash a custom rom either.
I felt I had to when using the Captivate since the stock rom was so bad. But I feel the Inspire's ROM is great just the way it is.
I used to jailbreak my iPhones for years, but finally got bored with doing it.

Yeah, upload speed, memory optimizations, and prolonged battery life would be my only reasons for flashing. I don't want to lose anything from the current sense ui. I still don't quite understand the goldcard concept.
Anyway, this is a rare phone that is good right out of the box.

I felt the same way all of you did about how great the phone is out of the box. But I needed to have it work as a hot spot and the upload is so slow out of the box because of AT&T. After flashing (now using CoreDroid) I have HUSPA back and my phone is so much faster. What I like about this ROM is it is very close to stock but no bloatware and he made HTC sense look even better (which is hard to do).
As to the goldcard thing, there is a video on Youtube that walks you through step by step making it very easy for anyone.

I want to enable those upload speeds but when I did that on my captivates, the battery went to utter crap. I think it was due to using an European radio..how has battery been with it enabled?
My battery lasts any where from around 20 to 30 hours with heavy to moderate use with uploading enabled. Also just like leedroid android revolution is pretty much stock but faster better battery life and uploading enabled

My reasons to flash :
1 ) I like tidy. All that crap on the stock ROM annoys me.
2 ) APN hack to enable tether isn't tidy.
3 ) Speed. Revolution ROM is faster than stock, noticeably so.
4 ) Fixes. I have more faith in the XDA devs than I do in AT&T to fix problems
5 ) Battery. I'm getting great battery life on Revolution ROM, but I'm not a heavy user so stock would have been suitable for me here but I suspect *most* XDA peeps would fair better on a non-AT&T ROM.

I think the battery out of the box on this phone is the worse I have ever seen. I have a Desire (not HD) that I bought unlocked and it works on AT&T (got one for my wife as well) it has a BIGGER battery in it with a smaller screen that battery last forever.
In our beloved inspire (which I think is a great phone) for whatever reason they have put this very small battery in it and I could not get 6 hours out of it with my usage from the stock ROM.
On the custom ROM I am using I think battery use is still an issue but at least I can get a whole day out of it. It has improved and I know the Dev's will make it even better.
edit: the kernel and radio you use will also play an important role in battery life
Yeah, I was like that up until I finished the video tutorial on Gold Cards jumping from the captivate as well, that thing was flashing like...every three days. It was absurd. It was awesome, but going from a build where I liked everything but the GPS didn't work was super depressing. Gambling is fun and all, but not when some of your phone's core functionality is at stake :'( well I guess that's just a risk with flashing in general... but I just feel like with the captivate it was a necessity... and a risk. Here on the other hand, you wipe, wipe, and away!
P.S.
Does anyone who used to own a captivate still get a reaction to Galaxy S/Captivate news? I got sort of excited when I was reading engadget and I saw the Captivate 2.2 update and the Galaxy S Gingerbread leak. Then I remembered I have the ability to flash CM7.
Im trying to find a reason besides battery to flash..the phone is quick, Sense is really good and replaces a lot the widgets I already had. Im tempted just for the sake of doing it more than for a need
I never flash.... I was stock on my N1 and I will remain so on my Inspire.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I'll more than likely root and flash Revolution in the next couple weeks...but I'm still lost to all the jargon in the Development section haha
I'm going to wait for the best one-click and any kinks to be worked out before I pull the trigger though
It took going through the app drawer with my 115 apps plus the AT&T stuff lagging all the way for me to think, "This phone needs Cyanogen." Haven't looked back, although I do want to flash one of the Sense Roms floating around. Sense was pretty amazing.

I would really love to flash but coming from the Cappy, my first android phone. Rooting this phone seems to be really confusing. The one click looks promising but there are some problems with it, that I hope Buddy fixes soon. The Attn1 method lost me. I have never been able to use adb on my computer for some reason. I have all the drivers installed and the androidsdk but for some reason I can never figure out the how to start to connect to my phone in the command window. I always get an error.

Best HTC Inspire 4G ROM available TODAY? Advice?

So when the Inspire 4G first came out, I joined from the dark side (iPhone)... and rooted for the first time. I tried InspiredHD and Android Revolution, but this was back when they both had the tinny audio, so I ended up going back to the ATT Stock Rooted ROM because I wanted my audio back.
Now several weeks later I see a bunch of ROMs available, several of which are Android Gingerbread ROMs. Which are the best? Is there a guide that compares their features that are updates on the daily basis that seems to be how often they're updated?
What do you recommend? I'd like one which is Gingerbread and still keeps the HTC sense, I do like my sense. I'd also like one that had the original audio quality, not the tinny audio that came with the preliminary ROMs.
Any advice\opinions would be appreciated.

desire hd coredroid v4 for inspire 4g VS stock rom.
Personally I know that the stock rom to date has best battery life with setcpu.
I am using coredroid and it is very nice, but of course, it has terrible battery drain. 5-10% drain every 45 min.
It would be nice to have a custom kernel or some fix because it is a great rom, the looks and layout is nice.
It does have a fuzzy speaker sound .
I would suggest staying stock for a week or two, until the devs work out the bugs.
There is always a fix for most everything.

Thanks for the tips, yeah I was afraid of the battery drain. I was afraid it might be an issue. The battery is already bad with Stock ROM, I can't imagine it being any worse... 10% every 45 mins, yikes, that's a battery in 8 hours... lol.
I thought the speaker audio issue was resolved. Is this still not the case in 4.0?

As for application's I always do a clean install that way I know everything is right, not like it is all that hard to do.
My battery is lasting a complete day with this rom.
As for sound issues, people think that this is a large home speaker, it is a phone and the speaker works just fine. I listen to Pandora for three to four hours and it is fine for me.

Why would you do a clean install if you don't have to? Seems annoying to have to re-download and re-position apps every time a ROM is flashed.
A complete day for most is less than 12 hours... and if a phone lasts 12 hours sitting unused, it's really not ideal. Considering most people have a hard time getting a full day out of the Inspire 4G even without Mod's, I really don't want to change to anything that'll give me less battery than I already have, hehe.
I wish you luck my friend but this thread belongs in general, not development.

Speaker Issue: You can say it's a small speaker all you want, but it's still a quality speaker, and the digitized sounding issue was a major issue to me when the first ROMs came out. I don't expect surround sound and bass, but the stock ROM doesn't sound at all digitized\tinny.
Sorry I missed the Pandora comment. Not sure how you stream 3-4 hours a day without a recharge, considering that time of streaming would beat what the phone's battery and radio are capable of doing, but hey, more power to ya.
And for the record, the expression is "I couldn't care less" ... People who say "I could care less" are just repeating improper usage of the english language rather than thinking about what they're saying.

Incorrect. This is a development question. "General" is designed for things like "What speeds are you getting..." kinda thing. Anything ROM related goes in Dev.

Wrong. any question goes in the Q&A subforum.
Have you done the battery reset procedure to ensure that your battery is being used to its full extent after installing the new ROM? If not, that may be your issue.

Battery reset procedure?!?!?!
Is that like those pieces of tin foil that used to "protect" me from my phone's radiation back in the 90's? LOL
Do explain, or provide link please....
Try something new
If you are really looking for AUDIO, give MIUI a shot. I have tried every ROM out there for the phone and I always end up with either Android Revolution 4 or MIUI. I like sense a lot, thus the AR4. But I often flash over to MIUI because the customizations are great, the themes are fun to play with, and the audio is louder than stock. Battery life is good, not quite stock but not as poor as CM7.
I would also try CM7. Fastest ROM out there, but ASOP reminds my of my old droid x and I can't do that anymore. Neither MIUI nor CM7 are sense and you must install an alternate home launcher if you want scrollable widgets.
My final $.02- try them all. With back ups from ROM manager, you can have several on your sd card!

Any gingerbread rom right now is going to have battery drain. It is a leaked version from htc, and the source hasn't been released, so there isn't and custom kernel support for it. Modified stock is good, but honestly the battery life on a modified stock isn't going to be nearly as good as a rom based on 1.8X built by Sergio or Mike. Depending on what your doing you on the phone the drain is anywhere from 256-350ish ma, while in standby it stays around 4-6ma on say Android Revolution v3.1 or Coredroid v3.2. In call audio after flashing the sound fix is not going to be stock but it is going to be very close. There will be a sound boost on the outside speaker, so it will be easier to hear it ring. Make sure when you flash the sound fix after flashing a rom or a radio that you wipe the cache and devilk cache.
If ginger bread is what your looking for I would wait, if customization, performance and battery life are what your looking for flash AR v3.1 or Coredroid v3.2
I am not going to tell you how long the battery lasts when I use it cause how much I use my phone may be quite a bit different from how you use your phone, so to say that it lasts so many hour when I do this or that is trivial. But it is certainly longer then stock.
As to what section this should be posted in, it should be general since it's a question, and we have no Q&A section. Development is mainly for ROMS and Fixes, and Themes in apps are mainly for themes, apps, splash screens and boot animations.
Keep in mind you can give all the roms a whirl, as long as you make a nandroid back up with cwm you can flash any rom you like, and if you don't like it then use your nandroid backup to return to exactaly how your phone is right now.
I see some people commenting on how bad battery drain is. Is it really that bad for you? Did you have the captivate prior to this phone? My battery last me all day and into the next day with wifi on. I text a good bit and surf the web. My captivate could barely last till I got off work, this phone I can go to work next day with it on same charge and charge during the day

ARHD T-Mobile Questions

I currently have a HTC Sensation on T-Mobile US and I was wondering what are the differences between the ARHD T-Mobile ROM and ARHD 6.6.5XE (My current version). Is battery life, reception, or data improved in any manner? Would I lose Beats audio?
Battery life is horrible. It goes from 100 to about 10 percent in about an hour of use. With nothing but WiFi on. It goes from about 75 to 10 percent in about 2 hours with the screen off. I am very disappointed in all sensation roms. In MY opinion none of them work right. I am sure someone will say I need to be kicked off because I stated my opinion. My opinion is that they don't work right. I superwipe and let it sit for 10 minutes each time I flash but all the roms never work right for me. No beats audio but also in MY opinion its just a marketing gimmick. Why waste 17 mb of storage to have one sq setting when you can download an eq from the market and set it any way you want?
I never have had that bad a battery drain with any of the ARHD roms. However the big difference, in my mind, between the tmous and the xe rom is the radio. Yes they both use the same version of the radio but the radio is set to to dish 2 on the tmous rom, better signal and strength in the tmous in the US. Also the xe does have beats but as said before you can download an eq from the market.

All the roms I've tried work perfectly, not only that, they in my opinion are MORE stable than the stock rom! I'll give an example, stock rom kept rebooting all the time, NEVER had this happen with custom rom. Also my battery life is MUCH better on custom rom! This is the truth. Custom rom in my opinion is MUCH better than stock. More options, smoother, faster, better over all experience! This is my honest truth. Not for one second do I regret having rooted and running custom rom. I think most people would agree. Custom rom is the only way to go! Iove the wonderful options of Roms we have here at xda Personally I'm grateful for the many wonderful choices the developers give us. I've NEVER had a negative experience with ANY rom. I've chosen !

google could wipe iOS off of earth if it just collaborates with XDA developers
I don't know why my battery life is so horrible. I hate it. If I leave it sit with screen off and set CPU turned down it will still die within a couple hours. Lately the phone has not been ringing. It was rebooting after I tried a new kernal. It would restart every time I hung up from a call. It would be nice if the battery wasn't so weak. I've had this phone for less than 90 days and I got it brand new. It is MY PERSONAL opinion that these custom roms keeps to be worked on more. I can't remember where it was that I saw it but there was a whole list of bugs for a certain rom that was months old and none of the real bugs never get fixed. Everything was still in red and one thing that was in green highlights I guess that had been "fixed" was that the play store had been updated to the latest. As if people can't do that themselves when they install a new rom. I could be wrong but in my opinion nothing in a custom rom truly gets fixed. I have problems with the stock browser in elegancia. It only goes to google when I try to do a search. I have other problems too. Arhd works pretty good but this battery sucks. Truthfully I'm done with custom roms. Next phone I get (if its even another android because again in my opinion all android phones suck, maybe its just the os but everyday I realize that android is not really such a great thing to have) anyways next phone I get will be reasearched

I think you will be better off with an iPhone.
I enjoy the freedom that Android gives more than the others.
I have had BlackBerry, Windows phone 7, and pretty much everybody in my family have an iPhone.

ARE YOU KIDDING? UNBELIEVEABLE:banghead:
Perhaps a I phone would work best for you. Especially seeing how you feel Android sucks and all. I think that just might be a perfect phone for you. Sigh..... I'm amazed how people can put Android Down, perhaps they don't fully understand Android? Or maybe they just need a I phone. Enough said..........

I believe Android is a excellent operating system! Also I've tried numerous Roms and they work perfectly. Your saying besides the foul language that they do not function correctly? I've never ever had a negative experience with Any Rom I've choosen. You are not forced to root nor are you forced to use custom rom. So I feel your anger and flaming are not necessary. In my HONEST opinion I love Android OS and love the choices of available Roms. No offences but I don't understand why you are still using Android if you hate it so. I was just stating my opnion and their is no need to become ABUSIVE to me. Android gives us more options than any other system, its open source, also the Roms have proven MUCH more stable than the stock systems in my experience. I don't have constant rebooting, its faster, more options, smoother and looks better. It's a all around better experience. Nothing to attack me personally about.....you sir have anger issues.... I refuse to stoop to your level and flame back at you! I stand firm in my opinion of Android and custom Roms. There is a simple solution for your issues, simply get a different device and operating system and be done with it.....there is no reason to be so angry....I have my opinion you have yours. Personal attacks are not necessary and are juvenile......so leave Android and be happy in what ever else you choose...

You honestly are one of the only people to actually give a helpful response. Thank you. Any comments on battery life? I can always get through a day with 6.5.5 but I'm interested to know if the tmobile ARHD will provide any benefits.
Sorry for the long absence, the ARHD t-mobile rom has given in my opinion about the same battery life as the 6.5.5 does or did. The only actual benefits in the tmous rom is the signal I feel is better due to the dish setup. But if you're half savvy with a computer and adb you can change dish setups yourself.

I had the same problem as you. I bought a replacement HTC battery for an Evo3D on eBay, and my battery life problems are gone. You probably need a new battery.
