Start menu problem

I was moving files around in the Windows/Start Menu folder to clear up my start menu a bit. After restarting, my phone only shows the 'Today' icon in the Start menu. I've tried putting everything back how it was, but this didn't help. One thing I did notice was that trying to put the 'Settings' folder back in the Start Menu folder didn't work - if I restarted File Explorer I saw that Windows had moved the 'Settings' folder back inside the 'Start Menu/Programs' one. I can still access all the programs by using File Explorer and clicking on the links in the Start Menu folder. Anyone know a solution to this, other than hard reset?
I have the same problem... Please respond!
try using total commander instead of file explorer.

Applications Folder

Does anyone know the exact directory of the applications folder. I had to install documents to go before i install documents to go full but now i have both icons in the apllications folder. i want to get rid of one
apk files are in /system/app, but I'd think you could uninstall the application cleaner by going to the Settings menu rather than just deleting the apk.

[Q] How do you install fonts?

I have a couple fonts I want to install, but I have trouble finding the Font folder. I'm using UCCW and it's asking me to "Put your fonds in sdcard in 'fonts' folder." However, when I connect my phone to my desktop, I can't find a Fonts folder anywhere. Did I not install some driver that allows my computer to see all available files?
Thanks for the help

you have to create a folder titled "fonts". There isn't a folder there by default.
Surprising what 5 seconds of Google can do for you.

[Q] HOW TO: change the folder/storage of viber (received) images

the current/default config of viber for its received images is
/sdcard/viber/media/viber images
im not an android expert, but i learned that "to hide" a folder, we simply put a period/dot (.) before it
so if we want to hide photos folder from the gallery, we simply rename the folder into .photos
and the contents of the .photos folder would no longer be displayed on the gallery
however, i dont wanna rename the /sdcard/viber/media/viber images folder because i'm 99.9% sure, there would be conflict with viber settings
question:
how do i change the received files folder of viber so that i can direct its download/storage to .whatever folder?
just wanna follow-up..
You can add an empty .nomedia file to any folder you want to hide from image apps. Every good image app will respect this and will not show images in such folders ...

Click to collapse
genius! it indeed hide the images inside the said folder
but i have another prob..
when i wanted to "show" the image files again, when i deleted the .nomedia file
still the images are not displayed
it has become irreversible
how do i revert the process?
huhuhu
You probably have to kill the image app (or maybe clear it's cache) and restart it. It depends on the image app, but it of course can cache data...
QuickPic is good and has an entry in the menu to hide and unhide folders and to show hidden folders as well... hiding a folder in there does just add and delete such a .nomedia file

Can't delete images

I can't seem to delete images that I have downloaded from the Internet. I can delete them in the stock gallery but when I open up quickpic, they are still there and when I check using my file manager, they are also there. I even tried using my file manager to delete them and it failed. Any ideas?
