hi guys i had g1 Google phone from my m8 and wifi wont work on it wont turn on at all,and wen i put my sd card in the phone it says available space 72.20mb
wont read my 4gb card as well, it let me format it but wont let me do anything else
Ive tried usb cable it plugs up fine etc but wen i go to double click on removable disk says please insert a disk in to f drive,cant do anything on it sd not working and wifi wont turn on i had pop up saying update phone so i updated phone its still same how can i sort this problem out please help

Did your friend mention any problems with the phone? And where did you get the SD card from and where has it been used previously?
You most likely have a number of partitions on the SD card and you can only access the one. Try to repartition the card, there are a number of guides available that can help you do this. You might be able to find some here, or look it up on Google.

I plugged my phone into the laptop and the install drivers thing came up and i was doing it but for some reason my wireless connection was acting up so i just cancelled knowing that i'd do it later but now i plug the phone in and the install drivers thing doesnt pop up. even when i select mount on the phone. so i knows my phone is there but doesnt read my sd card. can anyone help? im using windows. I have the exact same stupid problem... It is extremely frustrating.. I have been told that it might be a problem with the type of SD card that you are using (Transend, San Disk.. ect). Im trying to Update to Stock rc 33 from root. (root to unroot). Any ideas..? It also might depend on what route you are taking to copy the theme, update ect to the the SD card... faulty USB cord or through a faulty card reader.. which could in turn corrupt the file.. you know what i mean..? lol ugh.. I have a Samsung Galaxy Showcase I500 i was on stock 2.3.5 and i decided to flash a custom rom so i installed newest miui rom for I500 1.12.9 i think.. So my problem is that if i reboot my phone it seems to make the sd card corrupt. which isnt really a problem because i always keep it on. The first time it happened though my phone rebooted on its own and was kind of glitchy. Since then i have had the sd card damaged problem 2 more times but when i rebooted once and once when i pushed files from my computer to my sd card in usb storage mode. i really like this rom but i cant continue to reformat my sd card every couple of days and reload music download album cover redownload themes etc...its getting old... any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way i have tried reformatting with my computer and my phone so i know that wont fix it.

Reformat
Reformat your SD card by right clicking -> properties -> and format it. See if this helps. Also, try using another SD card to see if it is just your SD card or your phone that is bad. Deduce and solve
i have tried all of this reformatting from my phone from my computer every which way i could. i have used my disk management and nothing works. i decided to keep my 8 gb in there it is working without flaw. but both the 16 gb ones just keep getting corrupted. This is weird because when i tried installing miui with my 16 gb sd card it wouldnt work so after pulling my hair out for two days i found a post where someone said to use an 8 gb card to install it and i did and it worked perfectly. i guess this phone rom doesnt like 16 gb sd cards.

Phone was working fine for a couple months but couple days ago I noticed that I can't take pictures because it can't mount sd card
Well I'm thinking I will restore from backup but guess what I can't because clockwork can't see the sd card so I'm kinda stuck here. I think this is a phone's internal memory card not the micro sd card. Am I right?

Oh well today I had some free time so I sat down and tried to look for fix, turns out it is was external micro sd issue which failed.
Phone was setup to use external card. So after I told phone go and use internal memory rebooted and all good, inserted smaller micro sd card, just to have some additional memory and all is good. So here you go if you will have something similar going with your phone maybe that will help you.

I cant access my sd card. I pulled the batery out and put it in afterwards, and after that, the phone doesnt recognize it.
Im running stock 4.0.4 version and when I go to storage, it says that SD Card is unavaible. I cant mount it or anything.
The sd card works, because the card worked when I've put in other Desire S (rooted, cm11).
I've read a lot on the Internet but most of the questions were for rooted devices.
Any tips? Should I put the phone in rooted desire s and backup files on sd and format it in fat32 and then put it back? Should it work?
Or what should I do? I dont wanna root the phone becuase I have 1 month warranty left. I just wanted to know is it possible to fix it without going in the store.

I would take out the card and power cycle the device (full reboot) then one the device has powered on insert the sdcard and see if the is detects it. When powering back on you can keep the battery pinched Into the device with your finger and you won't power off when you have the flap lifted up

Had the same problem 4 months ago, just disable fastboot option in settings. Should work.
