Good day to you.
I usually connect my Samsung galaxy S to my car radio through USB.
It reads the SD content just fine, so I was able to play it.
After rooting it however, this is not the case anymore.
It won't recognize any songs or whatsoever.
Someone knows what causes this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Also applied one click lagfix, if that's important..

Hi all,
I've been digging around this website and google trying to find my answer. However i did come across a solution but it didn't work on my Galaxy S. So i decided to start this thread and hopefully you guys can help me out.
The Problem...
I was flashing my Galaxy S this morning from I9000XXJP3 (2.2) to I9000XWJS3 (2.2.1). As usual you load your 512.pit and the I9000XWJS3.tar, at this point I am pretty sure i didn't not tick 'Re-partition'. Any ways after it went through and odin work its magic and showed up with a green window with the word "PASS". My Galaxy S switched off after "Downloading mode" (Yellow triangle sign with black robot digging with shovel).
now i cannot get it to switch on. I tried 3 button combo, "Jigg" cable (300k ohms), tried plugging it into power outlet and tried this "NO-BOOT PHONE" guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-848737.html
I'm running out of ideas. I've been reading many forums and people say it is really hard to brick but some how i think i managed it.
Cheers all for your cooperation.
Has your jig worked before? Maybe the resistors' was just too much.
Also try taking everything out, waiting a while, then putting everything (battery, SIM, SD card) back in.
I wish you luck!
@AmandeepG
Yeah the Jigg worked before. You were right! i had to leave it out for a while.
Cheers dude. btw this is my first post how do i make this resolved?

No idea how to set it as resolved. But glad you got it working! Just curious, was it a Captivate, Vibrant, Epic, etc?

We don't use CDMA in Australia, so we don't get a range of different versions of the Galaxy S, we use HSPDA and GSM, so its a Samsung GT i9000 i guess you could call it International version~?

This method has also worked for me. After it has freezed on odin i closed it but later my phone did not open, did not react to any buttons. It was like a black metal box. After waiting a while i put SIM and Sd Card it entered to download mod.
I think while i was waiting i had prayed a lot. That should be the reason. I will be a good guy and i will not mess with my galaxy s.
Hi,
I have been having a problem lately with the headphone port on my phone.I don't use it at all for anything but for some reason, my phone randomly says that there are headphones plugged into my phone. This stops me from being able to hear sounds out of the speaker so i miss phone calls and texts. I also can't hear voices when I phone someone.
I am currently using the latest version of the "CyanogenMod (CM7)" port on my phone. Was wondering if anyone else was having this problem.
Sorry if it has already been posted, I have searched and couldn't find anything.

I have never seen anyone report this problem nor have i had it myself. I think it is a hardware problem so try sticking something in there if you want to experiment yourself or take it to a repair shop.
I have tried that before and it didn't help unfortunately. I did again just to check and it didn't help.
If I re-boot the phone it stops doing it but only for a short time.
I plugged some headphones in after the re-boot and they didn't show.
Maybe there has been something spilt on it and no one told me
Thank you for your help

Try flashing another ROM, preferably a Froyo ROM and see if it works then because it seems the problems stops for a while then appears. Hopefully that works.

Hi guys, i've tried to search in this forum for a solution in this case, but nothing worked so far. Here's what happened.
In my vacations, I bought a Galaxy S III in Panamá, in a nice shop. They opened the sealed box of the phone in my face. Tested it, everything seemed to be fine and working...
When i get to Argentina (where i live), i realized that there was no sound at all coming out of the phone, no output whatsoever, nor speaker, nor headset, nor any kind of notification.
It worked the sound once for only 15 seconds, i could listen to youtube songs and default ringtones, but then, it stopped working again.
Came with Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and installed 4.1.2 to see if there was a software issue. Didn't work.
Tried using SoundAbout, i could listen to the sound now, but SOOOOOOOO LOW. Tried installing Volume+ FREE but haven't done anything so far. And the sound is screwed up again.
Tried calling SAMSUNG here in Argentina but they said they couldn't do anything since my phone was purchased outside the country.
Tried calling a Service to repair it here, they told me they couldn't do anything because the components are different.
Checked every single forum in the net to see if there's a solution of it, saw that there were a lot of people having the SAME exactly problem with factory Galaxy S III's, there must be the chinese version which is failing! All the people with this concern just changed their phone for another one... but i can't, i can't go to Panama again to change this.
What am i supposed to do? Try a downgrade maybe? or other Kernel? help me please, i'm pretty newbie too.
No one knows? :S Please help.

Hi guys, I'm enjoying my note edge so far. However, the bluetooth issue bugs me. When i streamed music via Bluetooth on my car, it lags sometime, the music would either stutter or stop then play again. It did not happen when i
first got the phone and i already tried on another car, same issue happened. I also performed a factory reset and the problem didnt go away, samething happen with my gf's note 4 as well. So i just want to know if you guys know
how to fix it? or it just a problem with samsung phone in general. Thanks

FWIW, mine works without a hitch even when using the power saving setting regardless of source (game for kids, local music, network streaming, movies) or client (car, multiple wireless headsets, home sound system...etc.)
The only time I've experienced any issues was when I was tweaking clock frequencies or when trying to optimize for low power usage.
When you say you're getting the same response out of two separate devices, that seems to point more to the client than the source... but that's just a guess - perhaps you have a common app or setting on the devices?
Good luck
I dont know what wrong at this point, I'm considering calling tmobile for a replacement phone. I test my old Htc m8 on my car and it works just fine. And i only install basic app, banking app... Any one else has this problem?

Hi. i don't know is it the right place for this question but go easy on me please
my galaxy s5 screen blacked out... a car drived over it 2 times so what else can i expect
The problem is that i cannot connect it to the PC , phone is working i can switch it on or off , alarm clock is also working so i'm sure the phone
is ok.
I think my debugging is off or on whatever affects the connection issue.
Is there any way to force connect it to the laptop ?
Maybe it's just an driver issue but i don't kinda know which one from all of those out there i need
i got Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus SM-901F

Greetings and welcome to assist. The accident may have caused damage to your phones internals as well as screen, try installing kies or smarswitch on your pc and see if it recognises it then
Good Luck
